I could not be happier with this place and will be coming back forever. Everyone was friendly, helpful, funny--I was even offered a tour! The shop is beautiful with decor of dogs everywhere. The baths are pristine. The water nozzle has different sprays and is lockable to on/off, the water warms up fast. They provided everything needed and things I didn't even think of (like an ear covering to muffle the noise in case my dog was anxious!). Really SO happy with everything about this place, no notes, and I've already told several of my friends and family about it.

The girls made him feel very comfortable and did a great job! He came home clean, smelling great, not itchy, trimmed claws, a super shiny coat and happy! Love this hidden gem! This. Place. This is your dog's extended family. When I first moved to Anaheim I tried a new groomer every month including cities surrounding Anaheim. It was the people, the communication, and the love for my dogs that made me come back. My dogs have always come back looking and smelling great. I will admit that occasionally there has been a small cut or nick on my pup, but I've done the same when my dog moves while trying to groom, but the staff always debrief with me when I pick them up. Make an appointment in advance. Unfortunately for me, but great for their business, this hidden gem has been discovered by the masses and you need my dogs.

They offer services to wash dogs but also charge a 20 dollar fee to use their self wash services. I did not catch the name of the wonderful lady that operates this place. However, she was so sweet and explained to us where the towels and the uses of the shampoo. This facility offers towel , soap, and dryer services for self use. She guided us to a room where we were able to bathe and groom our own dogs. I will definitely be returning!

Easier than doing a wash at home. :) It's fun! I am hoping the dogs I bring in for self-wash will learn that bath time is a good time when we have all the right stuff and get to take a little trip to say 'hi' to the friendly people there. It's so much easier to do while standing instead of cramped in the bathroom. Convenient. read more

Took my dog in to get a haircut, all was good the staff was friendly I had taken my dog here in the past location but I think they might of accidentally cut him. We picked him up and he kept licking himself and he threw up his blood foam in the car, then we got home and he was bleeding on his arm and his mouth area. Obviously he got cut or something so we call them and ask to make sure and the lady says he "licked the blade" then before finishing her sentence she hands the phone over to the manager and the manager states nothing happened to him and started acting surprised. I wasn't trying to get them in trouble I simply Just wanted to make sure where he was cut since now my dog is all bloody I can't find the source of it, so no I won't come back here read more

Took my two dogs today for the first time for self wash. The staff were very warm, friendly, and soo helpful. My husky is a bit scared and has hip displasia so walking on floor is hard. The attendant (and I'm so sorry I forgot her name) helped me get him in tub and then placed towels on floor after to help him walk out! Just amazingly helpful! This is now our place! It looked like I took a bath with them, but the tubs, shampoos and dryer were so worth it! THANK YOU for a wonderful experience! read more

The dog wash, is independently owned, by a lovely woman. I believe she also teaches classes. My Mali-Pooh, is always well groomed, with a cute little neck tie on. I have moved from the vicinity, and they have moved from that location. Give them a try, I'm sure you'll be satisfied. read more

This place a great job and care about your babies. They even put a picture on file for the way my wife likes his hair cut. We were referred here by someone because of the great prices but we found out they are grandfathered in because they are loyal customers. Even though I missed out on that I applaud a business that takes care of their loyal customers. We will keep going back. read more

Very helpful, came to use their self service dog tub. They provided a towel and shampoo for use around the face as well as regular shampoo. Tubs are up about 3 feet off the floor so washing a large dog isn't straining on the back. read more

This was our first visit here and they did an amazing job with my girl. At drop off, the woman that helped me was extremely friendly. I showed her a picture of a cut that I wanted and she knew exactly what I was asking for. She gave me her suggestion on changing the style a bit and I'm so happy that I went with her recommendation. I was looking for a more local dog groomer. I stumbled upon A Dog Wash on yelp and decided to give them a try.... And I was sooo glad! The first time I went, our little poodle came back looking adorable, cleaned, and was able to get her teeth brushed, which is pretty darn difficult. The second time, I contacted them on short notice to get our pup ready for an event. They were able to fit me in and get her ready with the most adorable flowers on her head!! They will be my go-to for grooming and looking forward to our next visit! read more

The staff are awesome and they always take good care of my fur baby Blacky. He always comes home so fluffy and clean. They do an excellent job of grooming, nail trimming and haircutting. We have been taking our fur baby here for 3 years and they treat him so well. He even gets treats sent home with him during the holidays. They do such a good job and very good pricing that my sister-in-law brings her fur baby to get groomed here, even though she lives a few cities away. I highly recommend!!! read more

Our boy is a 90lb malamute who has about 15 layers of fluff. They did an amazing job bathing him, blow dying, and trimming his nails. He even looks thinner after having so much fur removed. Well priced and they treated him nicely. Highly recommend. read more

I am so happy and excited I came across this establishment. From the first point of contact, to the point of actually picking up my dog, I was extremely grateful for the care and love that was provided. My dog is not easy to deal with, and when I initially reached out I made it a point to mention that to Alicia. She was so reassuring and pretty much told me to bring him and if they run into any issues they would call me and let me tell you... they never reached out and transformed him in just a matter of hours. Rhonda, the owner and Alicia are amazing. As well as all the other staff member there. When I picked up my dog they took the time to talk to me and give me some suggestions, so his grooming process won't be as stressing to him in the future. We tried different groomers and A Dog Wash is the best, the owners, Rhonda & her daughter, Chris are the best including their staff. Definitely a hidden gem in Anaheim. We would try other groomers but we keep coming back here & it's been 5yrs that we've taken our pups here. They are definitely kind, caring & gentle to our pups. I was told it would be $10-$15. When I arrived, the place looked clean and I even checked the price list posted in the waiting area, which also clearly said $10-$15 for nail trimming. However, after the service was done, I was charged $25. When I questioned it and explained that I had called ahead and specifically mentioned that my dog is large, the response I got was that they "didn't know he was that big." My dog is a large doodle -- not some unusually massive or rare breed -- and I had already made that clear over the phone. It's extremely frustrating to confirm pricing beforehand, see the same price advertised in the shop, and then be charged significantly more afterward with no real explanation. If the price depends on size, that should be clearly communicated upfront, especially when a customer takes the time to ask beforehand. This felt misleading and unprofessional. I left feeling like the pricing was not transparent and that my concerns were dismissed when I brought them up. Because of this experience, I will not be returning.

After about 11 months of bringing my pomapoo here, I've decided I won't be returning…read more I'll start with my most recent visit. I brought my dog in over Easter weekend, and because I was injured, I wasn't able to fully brush her out beforehand like I usually do. She's a Pomeranian with thick fur, and while she did have some matting in typical areas, it was not severe. I've worked in a veterinary setting, so I'm familiar with what's manageable. When my husband dropped her off, he was told they wouldn't be able to achieve the usual teddy bear cut and suggested shaving her down instead. What wasn't communicated clearly was just how short that would be. When I picked her up, she was shaved extremely close, far beyond what I expected, and it was honestly shocking. She looked nothing like herself. This isn't the first issue. On a previous visit, she was cut so short that she developed irritation and a rash, and her tail was left uneven to the point that I had to trim it myself after it got soiled immediately. I've also since heard from friends and family (that I referred) who've had similar experiences, especially during busy weekends or holidays. It seems like overbooking may lead to rushed grooms and defaulting to shaving dogs down rather than working through coats more carefully. I also want to note that vaccination status was never asked about, which initially made this place convenient for me at the time, but in hindsight, that's not something I'm comfortable with. I've communicated before that I don't want my dog shaved down this short, and I just don't feel that preference has been respected or clearly discussed. Between the inconsistent results, lack of communication, and overall experience, I'll be taking my business elsewhere moving forward

Shout out to Billy( owner) for always being soo flexible/accommadating with grooming appointments. And Joey , our groomer, excellent job ALWAYS, hands down the best groomer around . I've seen many tik tok videos with other well known groomers doing goldendoodles with tight curls like a poodle and JOEY , you have them beat !! We showed her a picture of what cut we wanted and she did it amazingly and continues to do it every visit. We've been coming to this spot for close to two years and we're willing to make the drive from Fullerton .We get stopped in the streets asking where we take him and even if it's been a few weeks since last trim , he still looks freshly done . don't wait any longer , make an appointment!!

He does an incredible job getting their undercoats out so they shed much less at home. Our dogs always come back looking and smelling great, and it's clear he truly cares about them. They get excited to see him, which says everything! On top of that, he's just an all-around wonderful person. Just this morning during the storm, the wind blew our back fence open and our dogs got out while we were away at work. We live directly across the street from the groomer, and he happened to see them from his front window. He immediately hurried across the street and helped get them safely back into our yard. I don't even want to think about what could have happened if he hadn't been there. If you're looking for a trustworthy, experienced dog groomer who truly cares about the dogs he works with, I cannot recommend him enough. We are so grateful for him and the care he gives our dogs. It's such a comfort knowing they're in such good hands. Highly recommend!

I've been taking Fluffy and Tobi here and I'm always pleased with the results. The staff were always professional, friendly and clearly experienced with handling animals. The groomer took the time to listen to my concerns and understand my pets' specific needs. The grooming itself was top-notch. My pet came back looking and smelling great. The groomer did an excellent job of trimming and shaping my pet's fur, leaving them looking neat and tidy. They also took care to ensure that my pets wercomfortable and not stressed throughout the grooming process. I was also impressed with the cleanliness of the grooming facility. Everything was well-maintained and organized, which gave me peace of mind that my pet was in good hands. But what really stood out to me was the extra care and attention given to my pet. The groomer paid attention to every detail, from the trimming of the nails to the cleaning of the ears. They even gave my pet a little bandana to wear, which made my pet look adorable. Just wondering if the costumers that go here realize that this is a grooming SCHOOL. Not trying to say that's it a bad thing, but do they know that it's mostly students doing the work on their dogs? And are they paying full price for an inexperienced crew? Once again, not a knock on this place at all, just need to know if this place lets its costumers know that they are a school. read more
