Karen did a wonderful job with our pup! After three days of training he has totally transformed how he walks on a leash. Prior to training he would pull us so hard we were worried about damage to his trachea and now he walks by our side perfectly without pulling at all! Definitely recommend. read more

A change in ownership has left this kennel in a Royal mess. New business practices had every single long time employee LEAVE this facility refusing to watch the consistent decline in care for the animals. Proof is in my photos below. My 4 month old puppy's ear was torn off by another, older dog that never should have been near the young puppies. Lack of screening of new dogs into this kennel puts dogs needlessly in harm's way. Daycare dogs are outside in runs for a few hours in the morning, then put in crates until pick up. Sometimes they are fed, sometimes not. Customers are not permitted inside the kennel. Why is that?? It is FILTHY. Get your dog as far away from this place as possible. It is dangerous and a public health hazard. My puppy went in for a fun day of daycare. At the end of the day, an inch of his right ear was handed over to me in a Zip Lock baggie. I was told "it was an accident". What???? It was NEGLECT at BEST, a BRUTAL ATTACK for CERTAIN. We sought out training for our Australian Cattle Dog when she was four months old. Most trainers we contacted used "treat training" which we felt was fine for tricks but not obedience. At the recommendation of our veterinarian, we scheduled a consultation at K9 Korner. I knew almost immediately that we were in the right place. Over the course of eight weeks, we learned during four sessions how not only to keep our pet safe but also calm by establishing ourselves as her pack leaders on whom she could solely rely. That dependence and practice of the skills taught in each session helped build a strong bond between myself, my husband, and our dog. We practiced sit, down, and heel daily. It felt great to know that these tools taught to us in K9 Korner's basic obedience classes could calm my pet and keep her safe in stressful situations. She has had the opportunity to make many new friends, both human and canine, of all ages and sizes. We feel confident in our ability to keep her calm and control her reactions in any situation now. Anywhere that advertises itself as "pet friendly," we visit to welcome the opportunity to continue to perfect our communication with our dog. We continue to schedule "boot camp" sessions as well. We love that our dog gets the benefit of safe socialization with dogs that are also being taught basic obedience and are kept under the skillful supervision of Karen and Paul for a day of fun learning. read more

Paul has worked wonders with my dog Chloe. She now knows how to heel, sit and go down on command. I've only had three lessons so far. I put a lot of time into training my dog. She gets two 2 mile walks a day in which I use all the methods Paul has taught me. I'm looking forward to more sessions. Overall I've had a great experience working with Paul. read more

We have two dogs, a pit mix and a therapy lab that have gone to K9 Korner for all their training and boarding since they were puppies. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and always able to answer any questions. I see the way other dogs, who haven't been here, act and I would place their services second to none. I know some don't like their use of the prong collars but I look at it this way, if you put your finger in an electrical socket and got shocked, would you do it again? read more

Why can't leave ZERO stars would be more what they would deserve.. In truth should be reported to the ADA..My wife is BLIND since 2005 at age 29..I am also disabled got hurt at WORK..Therefore we have no car..Have to rely on the LCTA Van..Our Dog is a service dog..We called here for an appointment to take our dog for grooming..This morning we get a message on the phone saying that since we canceled before we had to pay right now half of the price..WTF..Here is the reason we canceled 2 times yes ONLY 2 times before..1st one I get the gout in my feet when i do i CAN'T walk (anyone with any knowledge on the gout knows where i am coming from..I wouldn't wish it the pain on anyone..Cept for this place then maybe they would understand)..My wife being blind can't and is not allowed to go on the van by herself..This is where the ADA should come into play..Couldn't understand or respect disabilities..2nd time was coz the apartment building announced black topping of the driveway..Therefore common sense no one could use the driveway..you guessed it happen to be on appointment day..We called them canceled ONE FREAKING WEEK BEFOREHAND MIND YOU..Now they want to pull the utter BULL to want to charge half price beforehand because the cry baby groomer seen the previous cancellations and refused to do it without pre-payment..So we called back to TRY to tell them the reasons why we had cancelled already told in this review..And they could care less..Once again ADA where are you?? Plus on top of that the same woman answered the phone that had left the message for us less then 15 minutes beforehand..She didn't even know she left the freaking message.. So we ask supposed to trust our beloved dog with someone who can't even remember that she left us a phone message 15 minutes before..Even to the point when she answered we gave my wife's name.. Guess what she said "she won't be in til 2pm"..WTF didn't know my wife worked there..Well guess what if she did the job would be done right and would actually care..Wouldn't recommend this non caring idiotic place to no one or anyone..So beyond ZERO STARS..Thanks for nothing.. read more

U K.,i have had the same problem with having phone calls returned.I called paul the owner to find out about my last training session he saved for me due to the high energy dog i have,and i left him a message on his phone and i never heard from him. then i called the business and he was not there again,which i know he is busy with police,correctional facilities,etc and their training,but the girl took a message and said she would have him get back to me and im still waiting 4 months later for that call.So now i am left with trying to do what i can with my dog and its hard when you have no room at home to properly train your dog and also having some medical disabilities limits me to,but what aam i to do if i get no replys.I am really surprised about this cause i had all my dogs there and got good results,but now all of a sudden it very lame.........oh and my dog was thrown out of a practice group and it was other dogs riling him up,but my dog had to leave and nobody elses. read more

Rudest employees I have ever encountered and they are so mean to the animals there. They actually yell at the dogs and bang bowls at their cages and it scares the poor dogs so much. This place should be shut down!!! read more

I brought 2 small poodles to Paul Price for training. I found some of his methods, as previously stated by another reviewer, to be harsh and offensive. He pushed my 7lb. poodle for 45 minutes with questionable methods in a slave driving fashion. He caused my dog to cry out in pain on at least 3 occasions until I told him to use another method from his "bag of tricks". When asked if Paul ever worked with children, he admitted both not having nor liking them! You can infer from that what you will. As an aside, I found Paul to be arrogant, obnoxious and perpetually late as though my time was if no value. One star was extremely generous and given because his staff is always polite and kind. read more

If it weren't for K9 Korner and Paul with his excellent training we probably never would have been able to keep 2 wonderful dogs that we adopted. The first dog was good with me but very skittish around all men including my husband. We brought him to K9 for a free evaluation. Paul was wonderful in explaining what would work with this dog and didn't try to push any type of extensive program on us. We took our dog to a few private lessons and then were able to practice at home with a lot of success after a few months. Our second dog was very possessive of anything that fell on the floor and would bite us if we would try to pick it up. I was in tears thinking we would need to return her but once again Paul worked with us and our dog and after some time she was comfortable with us. She started to show us some respect which led to a great relationship between she and us! I adopted another dog a few years later and had some potty training issues due to his young age. I brought him to Paul and he gave some fantastic advice. Each situation was different but all outcomes were successful thanks to the fantastic advice. Paul always took his time with us and he genuinely has a love for dogs. It's obvious when he sees the progress made with them! We worked with his wife as well and she was also very helpful! I highly recommend their training and their group classes are very helpful! You're able to socialize your dog in a safe controlled environment. Took my cat here, as I have done for the last several years, to get groomed. His hair gets matted, so about 2x a year, he needs to be shaved. Never had a problem except for the price which is about $75.00. This time, however, things were different. I dropped him off, as usual, but when I picked him up, I was told they had a difficult time with him, that he was screaming and trying to pull away, and they weren't able to finish trimming his tail. His coat was a little uneven, and whiskers were trimmed on one side. This is a very docile, friendly, lap-sitting cat, who doesn't even meow except when it's dinner time, so when they said he was just the opposite, I was surprised. When I got him home, he was noticeably upset, pacing and keeping to himself. He kept licking himself, and I noticed lots of abrasions, especially on his abdomen. It's been well over a month now since his haircut, and he still isn't back to his normal self. I see some improvements, and hope it continues. Of course I'm looking for a new groomer. read more
