I've sent my mini Sheltie puppy to Kat's in-home Board and Train program twice now and she has done…read morean OUTSTANDING job with him!! He first went for 7 nights when he was 4.5 months old and again for a 3 night refresher to reinforce existing skills and learn an important new command once he was more mentally mature at 7 months old. Kat took the time to really understand his lifestyle and shape his training goals with me ahead of both stays and both times we got back a happy, healthy and focused pup who loves to show off his tricks and manners! He was understandably a little nervous the first time we dropped him off but the second time he was thrilled to be back, which just shows how much fun he had there with her!! You can tell that Kat cares deeply about the dogs she works with and I'm so glad we found her out here in the desert. I highly recommend the customizable board and train service to provide structure, fundamentals and/or personalized learning (then you just need to stay consistent at home continuing to reinforce the new skills). Thank you Kat for all you've taught Ozzie - we will definitely be back!

What a relief it is to be gone a week on vacation returning home to a very content 18 year old cat…read more( that we always think is dying) and a year and a half old dog that acted like I just returned from the market. How fortunate to find Kat and her team who are professional, provided great communication, pictures and videos, and I had a worry free time away. From the moment my pets met Kat, she commanded instant respect. Kat has that magic that animal respond to. My dog Bella watched her like a hawk and did everything she asked when she said it. Even things I didn't think she would understand! I realized in that moment my dog has been ignoring me! LOL Go ahead book your stay with Kat now, I already booked our next trip with her. I selfishly almost didn't want to share her if you know what I mean.

I have 2 teacup/toy maltipoos. Poppy is 3y and Skipper is 1y old. We love to take our girls on…read moreoutings through town including lunch and shopping. At home Poppy barks at new people coming into the house and then shortly after they enter, she stops. Skipper Pip on the other hand is a grand AHOLE that will continually bark till our guest sits down or stops moving and it starts back up when they start moving again. ‍ I can say that nothing I did worked to stop or curb this little booger from barking. I watched countless videos and NOTHING WAS WORKING! I created a tiny monster. I finally had had enough and sought out a professional. I found Janine here on the internet. I didn't really know what to expect or how hard this was going to be. I didn't care, I needed help and was willing to do whatever an expert would tell me to do. Getting to know Janine and working with her has been super easy. I listed in detail all of the behavior issues that I have with Skipper but mostly it's the constant barking. Lord have mercy on my ears. The first visit is an assessment, explanation of how your dog thinks and how they understand you, and for us; some basics to start getting *operation no more barking* underway. Janine is very thorough so you understand both human and dog points of view. I really like this comprehensive approach. She trains you to train your dog so that your pet can thrive. Janine is not a cookie cutter style dog trainer. She is adaptive in finding what works best for you and your pooch. This is just the hands on learning Skipper and I needed. Thank you Janine, you are a treasure. Skipper's Results after working with Janine: *No longer barks when in public (on leash or in a stroller.) *No longer barks at the gardeners or pool guy. *Walks on a leash with ease w/zero pulling. *Knows the difference between Working Walk and Leisurely Walk. *Does not freak out at other dogs. Is perfectly calm and confident that I will not let anything happen to her. *No longer licks paws unless right before bed. *Significantly less anxiety overall.

We have been taking our mini goldendoodle, Kermit D'oodbreaux, to PetSmart for grooming services…read morefor over a year now. Jaimee D is our regular groomer. Jaimee D has developed a wonderful relationship with Kermit and he looks forward to his visits with her. He has an extra curly coat and Jaimee D works out all of his matted corners without skinning him to the nubs. He gets a fresh cozy teddy bear cut each time, which grows out beautifully. This allows us to go extra long between cuts if we want to enjoy his full coated look for a month or so! We love that PetSmart and Jaimee D. are there for our grooming needs and that our little boy is happy going in and full of spunk coming home. Affordable prices and quality grooming products used!!! In response to reviews that state prices are out of control: We book online and the price is ALWAYS as stated. No surprises! It never takes longer than estimated. Today we dropped him off in the morning and we're called within the estimated time 2-2.5 hours.

DANGEROUS LACK OF TRAINING -- SPECIAL NEEDS DOG PARENTS BEWARE…read moreI will never bring my dog back to this location, and I highly caution anyone with a special-needs or senior dog against using their grooming services. My senior greyhound suffers from SLO (Symmetrical Lupoid Onychodystrophy), an autoimmune condition affecting his nails and paws. He requires regular nail trims every 3 weeks. On Friday, I checked him in at the salon, and once the groomer looked him over, was told he would be ready in 45 minutes. Minutes later, I received a phone call from PetSmart stating they were rushing him to an emergency vet because his paw was bleeding. Because of his condition, minor bleeding is a known risk that is easily managed with styptic powder--which a professional grooming salon should have readily available-and bandaging. I told them I was right down the street and to wait, but corporate policy apparently bypassed communication, and they were already transporting him. When I arrived at the vet location to meet them, I found the groomer and my dog standing on the hot, 105-degree, La Quinta black asphalt. My greyhound--a breed with incredibly thin skin and zero tolerance for extreme heat--was standing on the scorching ground with a plastic trash bag wrapped around his foot, held in place by a tightly tied ribbon on his leg. This makeshift "bandage" was not only deeply unprofessional, but incredibly dangerous, risking burns to his pads and cutting off circulation to his leg. The lack of basic first-aid knowledge, the absolute panic over a predictable symptom, and the complete disregard for the outdoor elements in La Quinta summer heat is entirely unacceptable. There is a whole aisle in PetSmart with first aid products, so I'm still very confused about why a plastic bag was wrapped around his paw. And why would anyone who knows anything about dogs have a dog standing in full, middle-of-the-day, 105 degree sun on black asphalt? After using the styptic powder available at the vet, I took my dog home immediately and bandaged him properly myself. If you have a dog that requires actual care, knowledge, or specific handling, do not trust this corporate salon. Their panic overrides basic animal safety. I seriously wonder how much training their groomers receive.
