(Mango Lassi, basmati rice, Chicken Tikka Masala, chicken samosa, Lamb Curry) PICTURES DONT DO THE FOOD JUSTICE

Customer service was 10/10 Food 9.5/10 This place is a must try ! Was recommended to me and didn't disappoint Chicken tikka masala was my favorite Chicken was so clean and fresh and tender (those who wash their chicken or are sensitive to eating chicken out will understand me) the sauce was so flavorful and spiced to perfection. Would order again The rice oddly was my absolute favorite! Buttery and fresh and the fried onion on top =chefs kiss Chicken samosa filling was juicy and fresh loved it I took off .5 from total 10 rating because the lamb curry was not up my ally but that's a personal preference thing and has nothing to do with how fresh and tender the lamb was If lamb curry is your thing you will love it Finally the mango lassi was literally the best I've ever had and I've had many Definitely coming back

Food was great. The chicken tikka masala was flavorful and went perfectly with the garlic naan. Will definitely order again!

The kababs are absolutely delicious, and the falafel is packed with flavor. This place has really won me over with its fantastic food.

The fried liver is especially outstanding and something you don't commonly find elsewhere. A great spot overall that I would definitely recommend.

I found this place by accident. I was heading down. Hylan, toward a diner that I like. I saw name…read moreon the sign, and it looked like a nice restaurant. Not knowing what type of a restaurant it is, I decided to stop in. What a pleasant surprise. It was a Turkish restaurant. There was a good amount of people in there, but it looked like I was the only "white boy." Everybody was very friendly, and the place was clean. I liked the atmosphere. I started with the baba ghanoush. I loved it. The flavor of the roasted eggplant was delicious. And the roasted flavor kept it from being too rich. It was creamy and delicious. I almost didn't have enough bread to put it on. And believe me, I was piling the bread high with that stuff. There was also a small bowl of marinated green olives on the side. I normally do not like green olives, but these were fantastic. The olive oil marinade kept them from being too bitter for me. For my main course, I had the Adana kebab. Ground lamb, red bell pepper, and paprika. I had a small, which was one kebab. It also came with a very nice marinated salad, and a decent size portion of rice, which was tender and had a good flavor to it. It also came with a red sauce and a tzatziki sauce.. the red sauce was too spicy for me, and the tzatziki I put some of it on the rice, and then the rest I dipped my kebab. The kebab wasn't spicy at all, and the red bell pepper, and the paprika gave it a great flavor, it was not gamey like lamb can be. It was also very tender. Everything was so good, I ended up finishing the entire dinner, and I was stuffed. I would've loved to try a Turkish coffee, but it was like 8 PM, and I didn't want to be up for the rest of the night... :). The price was reasonable. The only reason I'm taking off a star, is because they add an automatic 18% gratuity to the check, and then there's also a spot down at the bottom for a second gratuity. That's why you need to read your check very carefully. If you don't notice the automatic gratuity, you might end up paying a double tip. I thought the automatic 18% gratuity was more than fair. This was a great place. They also do breakfast. I would like to come in and try breakfast sometime. Thank you.

For two millennia, Afghanistan, a landlocked country at the crossroads of Central and South Asia,…read moreboasts a rich and diverse culinary heritage. The country's cuisine reflects its multicultural history, with influences from Persian, Central Asian, Indian, and even Mediterranean culinary traditions. Though the food was served quickly, it wasn't made quickly. Rice, particularly long-grain varieties like basmati, is blanched for a day before it's cooked. Meats are marinated in carefully prepared concoctions for hours to ensure tenderness. Lamb shanks are stewed for hours each day. Never had Afghan food? You're not alone. There are only a handful of Afghan restaurants in NJ. Located at the Westfield Plaza off of South Avenue E, some of my colleagues decided on takeout as first-timers for lunch, which came recommended as the food tastes and feels like home from this family-owned and -run establishment. We called the order in for their family platter consisting of Ground Chicken, Lamb and Beef Kababs, Garden Salad, Brown Rice, Fresh Naan Bread, and a side of Potatoes with a red sauce and yogurt. Upon arrival at Famous Kabab Cuisine, my colleague and I were greeted by the owner, Ahmed, who has more than 25 years of experience in making fresh bread and kabob, and informed us of a 5-minute wait. The food remained hot back into the office, would feed 5, and have some for leftovers. The kebabs (ground chicken, beef, and lamb) were well seasoned, tasted delicious, and paired beautifully with the brown rice. Top that bread or kebab with the trio of sauces. A white yogurt sauce with dill is very reminiscent of tzatziki sauce, a vinegary green sauce with cilantro and pureed walnuts, and, for those who do want the heat, a red habanero sauce that should have come with a warning. Overall, one can tell the food was made fresh with quality ingredients. It is not cheap, but one gets decent portions, which we can recommend.

On paper, the bolani description doesn't sound like much, but it's a flavorful, fragrant flatbread stuffed with potatoes and spices. The additional dipping sauces made it all the more tasty. We also tried the kofta korma, which was a saucy dish of spiced ground beef patties that paired perfectly with rice. Can't wait to explore more of the menu. We ordered takeout but next time we'll have to stop by and dine-in.

Excellent food, service, and atmosphere!…read more We visited Zara Arthur for a family dinner on Sunday, Feb 16, just next day after the official opening. What a new gem we got in the area! Everything was excellent: nice decor and atmosphere; delicious food and desserts; quick, friendly and attentive service! Restaurant manager Yunus stopped by us to check how we liked the food and the service. We felt like dear guests and enjoyed our visit. We highly recommend Zara Arthur for a delicious Turkish cuisine and great atmosphere! Food ordered Appetizers Balloon Bread with olives - freshly baked, with sesame seeds on top, it was a great start to the meal and a must have complement for the appetizers. Mix Appetizers - 6 cold appetizers to choose. We got: Hummus, Babaganoush, Eggplant Salad, Sauced Eggplant, Aci Ezme, Muhammara. This is certainly a highlight of the menu! Delicious and lets you sample 6 appetizers! All were great and we especially liked Aci Ezme and Muhammara which were something new from the usual Mediterranean fare. Fried Liver Cubes - The liver pieces were soft and tender, perfectly spiced, and overall delicious! Cheese Rolls - great, with melted feta inside. Lentil Soup - excellent, as it should be. Entrees We got 4 different kebabs and all were really excellent and tender. Lamb Shish Kebab - perfect and flavorful. Adana Shish Kebab - delicious and flavorful. Chicken Shish Kebab (small) - our 10y old daughter liked it so much that we didn't even get to try it. Beef Shish Kebab - medium rare, soft, melting in the mouth. However, flavor was a bit lacking on this one. Some marinade or spices would make it better. Desserts Baklava - very fresh! Kazandibi (milk pudding) - good Keskul (almond pudding) - good Tea - this was one of the best teas I ever had in a restaurant! Not a bagged tea, but freshly brewed, strong and aromatic!
