Be wary of this place. My elderly Mother and I came in and purchased hearing aides for her. They no longer work after a very short time. They sent them off, and we were told three weeks with no hearing aides given while my Mother waited. We were told that her warranty is now up but were given NO OPPORTUNITY to purchase an extended warranty. We were told that since we didn't purchase the extended warranty (that wasn't offered to us) that our only recourse is to wait several weeks. They may not be able to fix them at all. Where do I even begin with this place? 6 months ago I went in for a free exam and to get more info about hearing aids. The exam process was fine, but afterwards I was brought into room where they go over your results. Looking back now this was all a huge scam setup to run your insurance. Veronica who was going over the plans and devices pointed at the one that was the most expensive. I think it was around $10,000. As you might imagine my eyes got big and I laughed. She insisted that I try to see if insurance would cover it. She said sometimes they do and sometimes they don't. Looking back I should've either flat out said "no" or ask her to call instead of running it. After all of that and not knowing yet if they were covered she gave me a demo pair to try out and I went home. Later that evening Veronica called back and said "Sorry, it looks like they didn't fully cover them." I said "Oh well I had a feeling, thank you for trying, but I think I'm going yo go a different route." Veronica's tone changed because she didn't get the sale. I told her I would drop off the demos and that was it. Fast forward to now being October and I've had quit a few Dr appointments, but didn't notice any of the bills coming in the mail. That led me to check my health plan info and I saw that I had met my deductible. I knew this was a mistake, but I've only done routine Dr visits or urgent care. When I scrolled down I saw "Kabel Hearing LLC" $1200 was applied to my deductible and in big red letters and numbers I say "You may owe $9,510" I freaked out bc I never purchased anything from them. I called my healthcare advocate company Accolade. My person was looking it over and she had an unsettling feeling about this. She called and no response. I went to Kabel Hearing and spoke to Jackson at the desk and he was very friendly as I told him the situation. Jackson went ahead and got Tonya Cottles-Townsel. I explained what I could to her and she was looking at me all crazy and didn't understand. I had this printed out and she still wasn't understanding. Let's be real. I can't be the only person that has had insurance ran and it not be covered, so just retract the claim. Tonya said she knew I didn't purchase anything and there wasn't an agreement. I'm sorry but do you want $9,500 in red with "you may owe" and just take a person word for it that you don't? So I left there and from then on they were screening my and accolades calls. After days we finally got the health plan involved. They reached out and like magic Tonya answered the phone. I guess Tonya had never encountered this before (I call Bullshit) My health plan said that there was little they could do bc I found out it was "out of network." The next day I went back to Kabel and say Jackson again and he said that my health care plan should've taken care of it. I said no you guys need to call and reverse the claim. I asked if I could have something in writing from them stating I didn't owe them anything (again, why is this so fucking hard other than they're trying to scam you) Tonya now didn't have the balls to come and talk to me, but I could hear her tell Jackson she wasn't doing it. Jackson came back with this "Invoice" with the most vague description that said $0. I didn't get a good look bc he was shoving me out the door. I said "well, can you at least sign this?" He didn't. Since all of this I've tried to find a way to get in touch with the owner of Kabel Hearing LLC. You can't Ryan Kabel is like "Charlie" from "Charlie's Angels" and all they do is cover for each other. That was a red flag now after the fact AND let me also mention that they don't have an office phone, they all use cell phones for work HOW SHADY IS THAT. I've now got BBB involved and if they still don't comply I'm getting a lawyer. Kabel Hearing LLC is shady shady business. Do not go there. read more

They take your money and don't deliver. They say the company is slow but my guess is the owner is using our money and playing catch-up with his bills. I have complained with the Alabama State Dept of Hearing Instrument Board. Avoid this company at all costs. read more

The staff was very friendly and helpful BUT..... My husband purchased 8,000 dollar hearing aides, he took the aides back after about 6 months to get them adjusted and Kabel Hearing mailed them off to be fixed. After waiting approx three weeks my husband had to call them to find out why it was taking so long, he was told they were lost! So I guess that if he had not Of called we would have never heard from anyone again. So he was given a pair of "loaner " hearing aides. These do not work either..... maybe they got them from a funeral home? Who knows. But we are now out 8 grand and still can't hear. This place just scammed my 78-year-old dad into buying an expensive set of hearing aids - when he went in to buy the "refurbished" hearing aids that were advertised on Facebook and in the newspaper. They told him refurbished wouldn't work for him even though he had been wearing a refurbished set for the last couple years. Then they told him the lowest priced aids wouldn't work for him either. They sold him hearing aids that must be volume-controlled by a smartphone, which neither of my parents has. The hearing aids have not worked properly from day one. We made an appointment to get them repaired, and when we arrived there after the one-hour drive, we were told that a "provider" was not there. The lady at the front desk said she could only clean them, and that we would have to wait about 6 weeks for an appointment to get them repaired. She said they were understaffed - only 2 providers were working 6 locations...several people had quit. I quickly grasped that the owner of this place is only interested in the volume of hearing aids sold, as opposed to customer care and satisfaction. My dad asked that he simply get a refund. She told him that she was CERTAIN that he wouldn't get a refund. When I told her that this situation was ridiculous, she informed me that they had had 100s of complaints, and that some had threatened legal action. This has been an absolutely HORRIBLE experience! Had I been with my elderly parents, this would NOT have occurred. But this owner is preying on people who cannot defend themselves! It's akin to phone scams where the elderly are tricked into turning over their life savings to criminals. $6000 may not seem much to a lot of people, but it's money my parents do not have...but, let me not forget, they have a convenient payment plan that my parents will be paying for long after the hearing aids are in the trash bin!
