They've been around for over 100 years and it shows. The staff is so nice and helpful. We picked up bunk beds for our sons and they let us look at the furniture three or four times before we bought it. Each time we asked to check it out they were so nice. For a small fee they will deliver, set up, and place whatever you buy. They have some great pieces there at pretty good prices. The feel of the store is very warm and inviting. It makes you feel like you are stepping into a real store..not a chain or big box store.

First they looked up my order and asked how long we had the chair. I said about 2 weeks. I got a "hmmm" and the clerk walked away for about 10 minutes. Came back and said "I am really sorry you have had the chair too long." My response was I was told I could return up to a month after purchasing. He disappeared again and this time came back and said, "it is a discontinued chair all sales are final." Again I acknowledged that was not what I was told. Was told I was misinformed. I usually recommend them without hesitation but think I will start looking elsewhere for future purchases. Felt like we were being scammed.

I too was charged more than the listed price in the cooler for that wine and another item I bought. I pointed it out and all the cashier said was they were adjusting the prices for the season. I said that they needed to publish the correct price then. Nothing. Crickets. No adjustment and no apology. Barney's is only a couple miles, so I will just go there from now on. Ironically while leaving the store I said to my daughter, "while I could get all of these items for a fraction of the cost on Amazon I don't mind paying more to support a local business." We then got into our car, she opened the squishy and after simply taking it out of the packaging it popped, exploding sand all over my car. After spending an hour vacuuming my car, I went back with the popped/defective item and asked for a simple exchange. (Note the cost of this item was $6.99). The manager refused to exchange it. Instead I was told that because the store has no way to verify the quality of its toys, it passes on the cost of such risk to its consumer. Notably, the store obviously chooses the products it purchases and then marks up for retail. As a regular customer at this store, it's not about the measly 7 bucks. It's the principle and the lack of customer service offered. Apparently the store knows that it operates more as a tourist trap and that the majority of its customers are visitors. In any event, I will not be returning and would highly recommend that all New Buffalo visitors avoid shopping here.

I placed the order days before her…read morebirthday and I was so excited for her to get the flowers since she loves flowers a lot, it turns out that it is not a small hometown family owned flower shop but rather just a Floral wiring service with zero Customer Service, the day of her birthday I wondered why the flowers had not arrived and at 1 o'clock they called to say that they cannot make the flower arrangement that they advertised so they just cancel the order and said sorry. since I am out of state, there is nothing much I can do since all the delivery times are over and I lost my opportunity to get flowers for my mom.
