Everything is so fresh! My favorite is the chicken shawarma with garlic sauce. Very good!

There were multiple open tables when we arrived, so that estimate seemed reasonable. Instead, we waited until nearly 9:00 p.m. During that time, we went up to the hostess stand several times to ask for an update, and every single time we were told that we were "next." Yet we continued to watch numerous other parties get seated ahead of us. As the only white group waiting, it left us feeling like we were being treated differently. I can't say for certain why we were repeatedly passed over, but the experience made us feel unwelcome, especially after watching so many other groups be seated while we were continually told we were next. This is particularly frustrating because this isn't the first time I've felt this way at Market North End. I've continued to come back because the food is genuinely very good, but great food isn't enough to make up for feeling ignored and disrespected as a customer. This is consistent with all of the rumors we have heard about this restaurant being unfair to certain races. No one should have to wait an hour and a half while being repeatedly assured they're next, only to watch other parties be seated instead. I hope management takes a serious look at how the waitlist is managed and ensures that every guest is treated fairly and consistently.

The service is slow, so never be in a rush. Food comes quickly once you are able to order. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. You can expect large portions that are perfect for sharing or enjoying by yourself. The homemade ranch is a must order for whatever you choose to get. Its in the perfect location and the best area for walking around and shopping. Unfortunately, I was not able to get other pictures, but the salads, pizza, and turkey reuben sandwich special were amazing.

Our party of five settled into a cozy booth at Elie's this past Friday evening... Thanks to my…read morefriend Ali for making a reservation. Elie's was the perfect place to grab a drink and some dinner after a travel day and to fuel for a big weekend ahead. We ordered some drinks (wine and martinis) and shared the Mixed Appetizer plate that had hummus, baba ghannouge, and tabouli and was served with a basket of warm mini pita bread. Our waitress was attentive and refilled the pita basket a couple of times and so was the water service. For entrees, I had the lebanese salad with salmon, and others at the table had the fattoush salad with chicken, baby back ribs, and chicken shawarma. It was a lot of food and we did not finish it all... and while it was very good, nothing stood out as something you can't find elsewhere either. No complaints however. I would definitely recommend Elie's if you're in the area and looking for a solid bar/restaurant with Lebanese and Mediterranean cuisine. Elie's offers both indoor and outdoor seating and they also host private parties and offer catering. It is clearly a neighborhood favorite and has been around for decades.

Calamari was great but the portion was kinda small even for an appetizer. Service was great and the decor was very pleasant. Would definitely recommend the grape leaves and sausage
