Went yesterday and the food was so delicious. I wish we had taken pictures but we were so hungry and the food smelled amazing. Loooved the fresh hummus and the tabbouleh. The kids loved the steak wraps. The owners son who was only 9 spoke with us extensively and was the most polite little boy. I order the Lamb Kabsah and the Mixed Tandoori Platter. These were great, and the Mixed Tandoori came with Nan bread, I suggest you order this. As it also comes with fresh yogurt. The service was amazing, the guy that took our order recommended this, and I recommend this for anyone trying this for the first time. Everything was fresh, and the Mixed Tandoori came on a grilling hot pan, which had smoke coming from it. The place was clean, the only time it wasn't clean is when they were cleaning it. This is a Yemeni restaurant that serves food that transverse into arabian gulf and Indian varieties. It is a very simple set up thar draws you in to delicious fresh food. Owned and operated by a couple who cook and serve. The meats are mostly cooked to a drop-off-the bone beef and lamb. The chicken and vegetables are stewed to perfection. We had the lamb haneeth and lamb biryani. They offered to serve them in one large plate so we all can sample all. We also ordered the okra stew. Then we added the lamb fahsa which is a vegetable and meat stew served boiling on a clay pot. They have bread that is a cross between pita, naan, chibatti. Hummus was nothing special but then again we failed to find any good hummus dip in Orlando. The service was very friendly and more like a home host style. As luck would have it, my colleagues and I were heading to another Yemeni Restaurant and luckily ended up here. We tried following: Lamb Mandi - one word. Delicious! Make sure you utilize the green spicy sauce that comes on side. Meat was amazingly delicious. Succulent and melts in your mouth. Chicken Kabsah - Yumm. Good! They may be known for this and it tastes really good but I guess I'm a Mandi person Chicken Kabob - good! Lamb Fahsa - my first time with this meal and I would like to say it was delicious. We had it with naan which is a little odd as naan is an indo pak bread. Tea - a bit strong but reminded me of my time spent in the outskirts of Jubail, Saudi Arabia. Customer service - they give a very hole in the wall, ghetto environment. That's not a negative but they could try to change ambiance a little to uplift the atmosphere. I went to this restaurant on Thursday night and I ended up coming back on Friday evening. I will definitely miss this place. I don't really have much to compare to because I'm not familiar with this region's food, but what I had was tasty and fairly priced. The server was the only one there, and he did his absolute best to take care of everyone. The food tasted clean and refreshing, although some was a little different then I expected. I had a lamb soup, that was nothing but broth. I'm not surprised at only $1.99 that it lacked meat, but was shocked it lacked vegetables, too. It was more like a stock. A delicious stock. But a stock. I'm not going to hold me not being familiar with their culture against them for this, but will certainly ask more questions next time. I also had an appetizer that was described as pieces of bread with yogurt. I was a little surprised when it was all mixed in. Tasty and refreshing, but I was expecting a dipping situation. The food was just fantastic and they were both very friendly. I started with an order of shafoot. I had never had Shafoot before, so thought I would try it. The best way to describe it is a cold bread porridge. Chunks of bread in a yogurt broth with mint, spices, and tomatoes. It may sound strange to an American but was really good. They bring s big bowl of it, so I would order to share. For my entree I ordered chicken Kabsah. This is a wonderful dish consisting of piece of bone in chicken covered with basmati rice and spices. The rice was very well cooked and seasoned and the chicken was flavorful as well. I was definitely impressed. The dish is very large so come hungry. Honestly you could split it between 2 people. They brought out a complimentary dessert, kunafa that was very good as well and much appreciated. I will definitely be back the next time I am down on business. read more

Its located in a plaza that has various other halal restaurants specifically from Pakistan/India however this allows you to taste Yemeni authentic food. When I first got to Florida I was worried there wouldn't be any Yemeni food, and they came to the rescue! I took my Puerto Rican friend to try Yemeni food for the first time and he was shook! We got the lamb haneeth, a classic and my favorite dish, and he loved it. He couldn't believe how soft and well cooked it was. They were kind and sweet, as Yemeni folks tend to be. We landed here by accident after the other place we wanted to go to was closed for renovations. I'd never eaten at a Yemeni restaurant but I was excited to try based on the other reviews, it looked promising! Be aware: the shopping center is not great looking. The place is super casual. The table has plastic tablecloths. When we walked in, we looked a little out of place - it was a Sunday, and about 1:00. It might have been early for this restaurant to see people other than its regulars. It seemed like we were about to get some very authentic food! It took a short while for someone to notice us - we seated ourselves and found a menu. We ordered the lamb kabsah and the saltah. The lamb was tender and the rice spice was perfect. The chicken saltah stew was amazing and came out steaming in a clay pot. Both were excellent. It looks like there are some Indian like dishes on the menu also. I recommend the food here! read more

Having grown up in the Middle East, a good Kabsa or Mandi always takes me back to being a kid again. Hence, I never hesitate to get some when near a Yemeni restaurant. The food here was amazing, they did not disappoint at all. However, they made some mistakes with my order overall and were a bit delayed, which almost resulted in a 4-star review. I got food from here to go during Ramadan. I timed things so I would be back to pick up just before Iftar (sunset). I ordered the Lamb Mandi, Chicken Karahi, and Lemonade. Initially, I had some trouble with the application (GrubHub) because it would not update to show that my order had been accepted. I had to call customer service and they had to call the restaurant to confirm. Then, upon arriving I still had to wait an additional 5 minutes to get my order and when they came out they had actually given me a Chicken Biryani instead of my Chicken Karahi and they were also out of Lemonade. When I notified them of this they gave me a Lamb curry additionally to compensate and gave me a pop. Needless to say, I left as a very happy customer due to having the extra Biryani and it was definitely very tasty. I will give them a pass on the mix-up as this was in Ramadan near Iftar time and things were probably very frantic. This is really a great option for no-frills Yemeni food! read more

With a name like "Kabsah", we expected more of a Saudi style dish, but mandi is the closest you'll get to kabsa here. The chicken mandi was done well, and the chicken was very moist, we were just confused why a place named Kabsah, doesn't actually serve kabsa. We've been traveling for a couple weeks, and my boyfriend who is Saudi has just been wanting kabsa, and we assumed they'd have it here. He was disappointed when he realized that there is none on the menu, and was told to order mandi. The lamb haneeth was pretty good too, and the lamb was prepared well and was moist. Smaller portion for the price tag than what we expected. The people working here are nice but not very attentive, and stay behind the counter most of the time. Excellent spot for Yemeni food, that inexplicably also serves Indian food (we only ordered Yemeni food). A bit of a sticker shock at the beginning, but it made sense when the food arrived. The portions are huge with heaps of rice topped with lot of meat (for reference, the chicken hanith came with half a chicken). Two people can easily share one mandi or Hanith. My husband is Arab, and he said that the rice has that authentic taste that mom used to make. I'd be a fucking foodie because this place was DELICIOUS. I had a chicken wrap which yes is basic, but you can tell the seasoning and the hummus were out of this world. I also had a samosa which was 100% on point. Good flaky pastry, good ass veggies, bomb ass potatoes. Straight up dank.
