I called Economy Muffler and spoke to Arnold who got me in right away for a quote. He was kind, knowledgeable and honest. He had me come see where the problem was and explained what was needed clearly. They scheduled me in right away and in a flash, my car was ready to go and sounded great!! Plus the price was awesome! It was under $200 including parts AND labor. I am happy to support a business in my community but even more so knowing first hand that the staff and service is great!

Avoid at all costs I took my vehicle in for an oil change…read moreand was initially impressed with the friendly and charming young men who worked there. They told me that my transmission fluid was dirty . I agreed to their service for $255 even though HONDA told me a year ago that the transmission was recently serviced and that the fluids did NOT need changing. LUBEFX also told me I had a moderate to major oil leak from my valve cover gaskets and oil pan and that they could complete this service immediately for $1085.00. I declined this service. After the transmission service at LUBEFX my transmission started acting up. I returned to LUBEFX after a week as suggested for an oil level check and told the technician this. He declined comment and walked away. I later took my vehicle to HONDA to have the said leaky seals replaced (for $360-$500), but after inspection I was told that my car Did NOT have an oil leak from the valve cover gaskets NOR the oil pan. I also had another service facility confirm that I had no leaks. Why did LUBEFX state that I had a major oil leak that needed to be fixed right away at a cost of $1085 plus taxes. When I was at the Honda Repair facility they suggested that also the reason for my new transmission troubles was probably due to LUBEFX using the wrong fluid as HONDA vehicles need a specific fluid. So now I am out the $255 I paid to LUBEFX and I have to go to Honda to have the fluid replaced with the appropriate fluid for $155. I also had to pay 2 shops to confirm that LUBEFX diagnosed incorrectly. Yes, I saved a few dollars on the oil change. BEWARE of this company. Check their rating on Better Business Bureau. Edit; After writing Google review Eddie who owns the Franchise contacted me and said that he would Give me $250 in free Service if I took down my negative review. I declined and stated that I did not have faith in the LUBE FX technicians and did not want them working on my vehicle ever again. Eddie then said LUBEFX would sue me for defaming his business unless I took down my negative review. He stated that they had won recent court cases in the amounts of $16,000. Eddie then went on to discredit other negative reviewers of LUBE FX. Dealing with this business has been stressful, and with the threats of legal action my thoughts were that I should just take down my review. Once I realized that my factual account of my experience at LUBEFX did not fit the definition of defamatory libel I decided to leave my reviews up so others could learn from my experience and at the very least be wary about upselling of un-needed services. I also hope that this honest account of my experience would encourage the honesty and transparency from this business. My own experience with this business makes me wonder how many other customers they have "incorrectly diagnosed" work needing to be done. I am also concerned about how many negative reviewers were strong armed into removing their negative reviews.

Awful experience. Out $4000.00 for a Transmission that…read morelasted 21000kms. My mechanic replaced my transmission in my truck with Can-West in Oct 2020. My truck is hardly used and I don't pull a trailer or abuse this truck. On a family vacation in July 2023 my truck broke down. Over $1000.00 to get it towed back to Edmonton just to have my mechanic tell me the transmission was shot. 21000kms!!!!!!!!! And the transmission was shot????????? I realize the warranty is for 2 years or 40000kms but 21000kms is ridiculous. The mechanics I talked to agreed that a transmission should not only last 21000kms even after the 2 year warranty expires. Needless to say , i was not impressed. I called Can west to see what they could do to help me out. Well, they didn't seem to interested because ''' it's past the two year warranty''. They said they would pay for labour but I still had to pay for parts. $2600.00 later....Can West also stated that the problem was the parts in the transmission[which they replaced in 2020]. I called another transmission company and they quoted me $2600.00-$2800.00. So I'm not really sure what I saved???? Tow truck ,mechanic, new transmission, waste of time. VERY DISAPPOINTED. Bottom line : I'm out $4000.00 for a Transmission that lasted 21000kms. I would recommend you go elsewhere.
