Avoid at all costs I took my vehicle in for an oil change and was initially impressed with the friendly and charming young men who worked there. They told me that my transmission fluid was dirty . I agreed to their service for $255 even though HONDA told me a year ago that the transmission was recently serviced and that the fluids did NOT need changing. LUBEFX also told me I had a moderate to major oil leak from my valve cover gaskets and oil pan and that they could complete this service immediately for $1085.00. I declined this service. After the transmission service at LUBEFX my transmission started acting up. I returned to LUBEFX after a week as suggested for an oil level check and told the technician this. He declined comment and walked away. I later took my vehicle to HONDA to have the said leaky seals replaced (for $360-$500), but after inspection I was told that my car Did NOT have an oil leak from the valve cover gaskets NOR the oil pan. I also had another service facility confirm that I had no leaks. Why did LUBEFX state that I had a major oil leak that needed to be fixed right away at a cost of $1085 plus taxes. When I was at the Honda Repair facility they suggested that also the reason for my new transmission troubles was probably due to LUBEFX using the wrong fluid as HONDA vehicles need a specific fluid. So now I am out the $255 I paid to LUBEFX and I have to go to Honda to have the fluid replaced with the appropriate fluid for $155. I also had to pay 2 shops to confirm that LUBEFX diagnosed incorrectly. Yes, I saved a few dollars on the oil change. BEWARE of this company. Check their rating on Better Business Bureau. Edit; After writing Google review Eddie who owns the Franchise contacted me and said that he would Give me $250 in free Service if I took down my negative review. I declined and stated that I did not have faith in the LUBE FX technicians and did not want them working on my vehicle ever again. Eddie then said LUBEFX would sue me for defaming his business unless I took down my negative review. He stated that they had won recent court cases in the amounts of $16,000. Eddie then went on to discredit other negative reviewers of LUBE FX. Dealing with this business has been stressful, and with the threats of legal action my thoughts were that I should just take down my review. Once I realized that my factual account of my experience at LUBEFX did not fit the definition of defamatory libel I decided to leave my reviews up so others could learn from my experience and at the very least be wary about upselling of un-needed services. I also hope that this honest account of my experience would encourage the honesty and transparency from this business. My own experience with this business makes me wonder how many other customers they have "incorrectly diagnosed" work needing to be done. I am also concerned about how many negative reviewers were strong armed into removing their negative reviews. read more

I did not like the few cars in front of me when I first arrived but they moved me up in less than 15 mins. Very knowledgeable staff, kind and organized. So I kept getting adds for coupons saying what a great deal it was to get an oil change and have my tires swapped with my winter tires. I thought I would give them a try I paid about 70 dollars more than I did at the place I regularly go. I was there before they opened at 10:00 A.M. I waited until 11:40 before they got me in and left at about 1:30 They have a tire machine to change the tires out, but it still took an insane amount of time to swap them. I have seen people swap tires on rims with 2 bars by hand faster than these guys did with the machine. They said I had one cross threaded lug nut that they said was put on wrong by the last place I got my tires done, then gave me the lug nut and let me drive home with one missing lug nut. They said they could change the stud and charge me a half hour labour, and 4 dollars for the stud, but they didn't have the time. When I asked them for the the stud, they said they would have to order it in, and I could come back the next week. I probably wont ever go back there, I feel the add was a bit misleading and the service was way longer than it needed to be read more

It has taken awhile to find an honest oil change location but Lube FX Plus fits my stringent standards. I gave them multiple chances at fail, but at each turn they proved honest with extreme integrity. They used two tubes of grease on my 3500 Chev Express. Wow, how many times have I been to locations of other names and heard the standard jingle of the checks done. These guys actually did the work. I am so wary of most locations due to the letdowns. Review marketplace on scams. Dave and Maiwand you guys put reliability back into your trade. No crazy false up-sell, just honesty. Lead by example. I am impressed. read more

Worst Experience I've ever had. SHADY/UNHONEST I will file a complaint to AMVIC 100% for sure. (PLEASE TAKE YOUR BUSINESS SOMEWHERE ELSE ) At first impression coming into the place it seemed like it was a good bunch of people. The owner greeted me and told me that they take their customer service very serious and that it separates them from their competition. Then a customer happened to walk in saying that his transmission was slipping, right after he received an transmission from these guys at LUBE FX. Then in the same breath the owner talks to me and starts complaining about the customer instead of just going to help him out for the mistake that was made at his business (RED FLAG). The issue occurred after the service you guys gave him. Own up to your mistake and fix it. Then the owner frustrated leaves and an employee takes over my service, he suggested an engine flush which I did. Usually this is just an upsell I know, but I just had my car parked for a few months and drove it from BC to AB), so I went with it. At this point I was at the phone having an important conversation, and I notice that the owner coming back and saying something to the employee about overfilling and it potentially damaging my vehicle. I wasn't able to follow their conversation due to being on the phone. Mentioning nothing to me and talking quietly, as well as not informing me of what just happened. I pay and leave not thinking much of it. A couple days later I am driving down the highway to the airport and my skid plate comes loose, and starts grinding on the ground. Without a doubt they didn't secure one of the screws properly (Picture attached) as it only came down on one side and started grinding on the road. As well as I almost missed my flight. Mistakes happen and I wasn't upset about this whole thing, not thinking much of it. I was thinking I can go back there and I'm sure we can figure something out. I went in to talk to the owner, but could only find the manager. I believe they're related. I show the manager what the problem was and he right away denies that the shop could have made that mistake. Instead he blames the skid plate saying that Acura provides low quality skid plates and that the screws contract and expand and contract and etc. I've driven this car for 60k and never once had this happen to me in both provinces of Alberta and BC. Within 50km of getting an oil change from this establishment it had come loose and damaged. Next he talks about how the skid plate is useless anyways and doesn't help. You don't design cars and you're not an engineer please keep your opinions to yourself. If it was a useless piece the car manufacturer wouldn't have one on every model of car designed, you lack common sense. I try to come to some compromise, either they pay half and I pay half or they can compensate me through my next oil change. Anyways, he says it's not our fault and we are professionals and make sure everything is secured before anyone leaves blah blah blah, repeats himself 100x. It's okay to make mistakes we are people and it's a human thing, but it's not okay to not own up to your mistakes and put it all on your customer. Went for a coolant change today with a coupon. They quoted me $139 on the phone (with $40 off coupon). Of course I was charged $169 (before GST and shop supplies). Why not honour a price I was quoted on the phone??? I did not argue as I was sickened by the next up sell that they tried. They told me that I had carbon build up as it could be seen on my tail pipe. they made a wonderful offer to change my fuel filter or if that was to expensive they could clean it??? I told them no as the truck runs fantastic and show no signs at all of needing this type of service. They then showed me that my transfer case and rear differential oil was in extremely poor condition and full of metal filings. Vehicle is a truck 5 yrs old with only approximately 70k on it. Showed me styrofoam cups with what was allegedly my oil (???) and new oil for comparison. The funny thing is that I just had all this checked at Jiffy Lube within the past 2-3 months and they stated it was still good and that replacement fluids were not required. I refused the LUBE FX $500+ offer to change it all. When I left their business I immediately drove to the nearest competitive lube Centre (another Jiffy Lube). I asked them to check all differential oils for me. Once again, they showed me samples in a professional looking plastic tray and stated that the fluids did not need to be changed yet. They did not detect any metal filings. They also showed me the maintenance schedule for my vehicle and the oils were not even close the mileage required for changing. What the hell LUBE FX??? Why the attempt to conduct services that clearly were not required. This is an extremely poor practice! Was that actually my oil? It sure as hell did not look the same as my oil that your competitor showed me (on two separate occasions)! You guessed it! I will never, ever, be a customer of theirs again. read more
