The last time my fiance and I went to egon we were given flimsy one sheet menus with everything in Norwegian. Which is fine because I like to practice my Norwegian. This last month when we went back the Menu had been updated to include many different types of entrees. Lunch menu and Dinner menu were different and they updated their burgers. I have a feeling Egon is trying to present itself as an upscale classy restaurant but having an all you can eat pizza and salad lunch buffet wont help you get there. The menu seems to have gone from cheap to chic and it looks like the ingredients used have also been upgraded. The food isn't terrible but it isn't something that blew my mind. It is good enough but not the first place I think of when I think of a great restaurant. If you need a place to have a cheap lunch then I would check Egon out. You then come full circle for the petit fours, caffeine and after dinner spirits back in the orangeriet. Only the beat local producers are highlighted on the menu. I guess it's pretty nice for a cafe that faces waterfront.
