I'd expect to see this bookstore cafe in somewhere like in Ogunquit, Burlington, Bar Harbor, Austin, or Asheville? Super cute place with an interesting, eclectic selection of used books. They have a little coffee shop/cafe at the front - and there's an area where they have talks and live music on certain days. The people who work there are so incredibly friendly and helpful. I think there's a cute little outdoor area, but it was closed last time I visited. Hope to drop by here next time I'm in Staten Island!

Sure, the coffee is top-notch, brewed with the kind of care that makes you want to savor every sip, and the limited food I've tried was fresh & delicious, but the real magic is behind the counter. The baristas here don't just serve coffee; they serve sunshine in a cup. Visits feels like catching up with friends who also happen to make phenomenal lattes. Even when the is a cafe packed with the local firemen, they're quick to greet you with a smile and once in a while a perfectly timed Spanish Latte before I've even ordered is just the bit of encouragement that somehow makes even a rainy Monday feel like a good day, leaving you feeling a little lighter, a little happier, and a lot more caffeinated.

We stayed at our table for a while, and it got very busy. Some of my friends waited a long time for their food to be ready, but everything did taste good. She shoveled herself out and drove in from New Jersey to make sure the coffee bar was set up and ready. That level of dedication and professionalism truly stood out. One table had a group of senior women catching up; another of two kids enjoying their waffles; and a third of a customer enjoying her solitude with a book in hand. This was my first visit, so I asked the cashier what he'd recommend for toasts. What was suggested were the avocado toast or the ricotta with fig jam and arugula toast. I went for the latter! I paired it with a hibiscus/cranberry tea called Angel Fall Mist, apparently a fav among customers. All in all, the meal was delish!!! The fig jam was not too sweet and was complemented well by the ricotta cheese. $9 for the toast plus tax came out to $10.89. The tea total was $3.27. Pretty affordable, I'd say!
