The staff was absolutely amazing, they called me when the new chicks arrived which I rushed over to bring home with me. Really like their delivery program. Ordered 6 bales of Timothy hay for my horse. When it was delivered it was mostly yellow in color I talked dl the rep and she replaced 4 of the bales with fresh new ones for no charge. Also gave me recommendations on amounts of hay/grain recommended has been my first experience with my horse living on my own property. Really friendly and quite convenient! read more

Kahoots turned out to be a big disappointment. I am no longer going to do business with them. We've been customers for over 15 years. My experience was similar to Kady D's. I realize that fuel is expensive and don't have a problem paying a delivery charge. After my hay was "dropped off" and not put away, the driver who has been to our ranch several times, just took off. He didn't bother to say he was done. Just left. The following day, I paid my ranch worker to put the hay in the same barn that Kahoots placed it in for years on end. Being a glutton for punishment, today I called Kahoots, asking if they could deliver another 40 bales. I was informed that "they no longer deliver to Malibu". What an awful way to conduct business with someone that has been spending over $1000/month on hay and has not complained about the delivery charge, reduction in service or dramatic increases in their hay price. What surprises me more, is that the store clerk asked "a manager" if they would make an exception for me. She just said no and that was it. All these years of loyalty, meant nothing to them. I then called another local feed store. They were competitively priced and offered to stack the hay in our barn. Their delivery fee of $30 is $15.00 more than Kahoots, but I wont need to pay my worker $25.00/hour to put the hay away! We live in a big city with plenty of options. It's important that we not reward a company to mistreat us. Take your business elsewhere! read more

I've been going there for years, today I went to pick up a bag of grain evidently my account was low so it's not able to purchase it because I was one dollar short. This is a place that I go to every week so the idea that she didn't say just take it and pay the dollar when you come back next time. Makes me wonder if I'm gonna go back. read more

Good selection of horse and other farm-animal feed and supplies. Location is pretty small, located right on the main street and the driveway/parking is confusing at first - there are two driveways but one is in and the other is out and of course I didn't see the first one so I entered the exit and an employee tried to shoo me out and I didn't know why or where to go. Ended up parking on the street. Employees inside the feed store were friendly and accommodating. When I asked about a custom order (larger size bag of food) they were able to look it up for me and give me a price and explain when they order and when I'd want to call it in. I have another feed store closer to my house that I usually use, but Kahoots has comparable prices and is right on my way home so I'm thinking about using them more often. I'm super happy they carry the same brands as I'm used to seeing elsewhere so my pets would not have to change food! read more

Best feed pickup in the area! Just take your truck over there and pick up feed and any farm animal supplies you might need including ALL chicken feeds and equine feed galore! Even baby kitten bottles! Everything in one place. Practical supplies and hardware one might need to pick up are there too right near the register in a big open warehouse! Everybody there is cheerful and ready to load up your purchases right there in the parking lot! Idk what is more enjoyable--a Sunday drive over to Kahoots for my horses feed? Or having it delivered every month to my home for practically nothing! read more

I went there a few months ago to buy chicks and all 3 are doing great! One is a rooster which is a bummer even though they were sexed but it happens, they had a good variety of breeds and food for the babies! It was kind of messy finding which breeds they had as each person told me something different but I believe I have a Rhode Island Red, Blue Austrolarp, and either olive egger or barred rock (rooster) and they had many more breeds! Just found out about Kahoots. Wish I had known about them years ago. I'll be going here from now on when they have what I need. The guys (and gal) working the last few days when I've gone in have been really helpful, sociable, smiling and kind. The Lavender Orpington is s I'm chicks I bought for 6.99 are healthier looking and happier seeming than the 4 I had shipped to me from a central CA farm for $30/apiece. I have stuck by Kahoots for 16 years as my hay and pet food supplier. I stayed loyal when their hay quality became unreliable, I paid higher and higher prices as they raised them, I sucked it up when when added a $15 delivery charge no matter the size of your load, but I am quitting kahoots today! The last straw is that I was given a flyer stating they will no longer move and stack my hay. They have always helped that way, and I tip the guys accordingly. Now they can't do anything but basically dump it where the truck parks. I am moving my business... I physically can't do it myself. Unfortunate ending to a long relationship. I will get my hay elsewhere. read more

Hi. I don't usually leave reviews but I cannot believe how rude the girl was there today. I stopped by at 2:00. I've never been there before and ask where something was. She seemed as if I was bothering her and had a major attitude when she saw that I was having problems find it. She just kept repeating herself and pointing from across the room. When I went to pay she was gone. Didn't see anyone else in the place. All I could think is maybe she was the owners daughter because I couldn't imagine hiring anyone like that to help customers. Yikes. I would go back if I knew she wasn't going to be there. Don't need attitude when there's so many other businesses that go out of their way to be helpful. read more

Way to go, Kahoot's! **Original review** They stock good quality feed. They used to have a kid who really understood chickens. He ordered whatever breed you wanted. I think Lance was his name. The guys who load your feed are nice and have a good attitude. The older guy who works indoors and answers questions is cool. The 20-something girl cashier is bitchy. Try to exchange pleasantries with her and get a frosty response and feel awkward. My son tries that too and she acts as if he's some kind of pariah. Not the kind of person who should represent a business. Good thing everything else about the place is good or they'd be looking for corporate welfare. read more

Staff used to be friendly every time, along with being helpful. Now, not so much. Staff seems indifferent, borders being somewhat put out that you're there.Possibly time for the old to be replaced with a new, appreciative staff. Just sayin'... This store is fantastic! I had to stop in to purchase new fly masks for a horse and a donkey... the lady at the store was very helpful with sizes of the masks as I didn't really know what I was shopping for. I also ended up buying cat food (gluten free Wellness brand) & she offered me a couple of sample of Kahoots gluten free cat food which my cat absolutely loved. I will definitely be conducting all my pet shopping at Kahoots from now on! read more

I've been a customer since Kahoots started in Chatsworth a few milleniums ago. NEVER have gotten any bales with mold or mildew, ever ! the bags of feed are always fresh and nutricious.
