In general, when dogs are trying to bathe, it would really help if you didn't try to clump all the dogs in the nearest baths to each other to f others are open. It can feel crowded especially if you have a big dog and other dogs aren't friendly it adds an extra element of trying to make sure the dogs aren't going to react to each other in such close proximity. So if there are a few open. Give the customers space. read more

Superb selection of pet food and supplies, with caring, efficient employees and great merchandising. Our dog is now older and super picky - we literally brought him to the store to make sure the food we got him passed "the sniff test." Sure enough, he got very excited, had a little accident on the floor (staff is very patient and instantly provides appropriate remedies), and then barked from pure joy. We ended up with some "gently cooked" frozen food, which he's been eating for a few weeks now. Great pet washing facilities! Our dog is never a fan of a bath but this makes it a lot easier than trying to do it at home.

This store is awesome. I went in the find some new dog food. My little one had been turning her nose up at everything. After she was cleared by my vet, we tried everything. She was eating Farmers Dog for 2.5 years, she stopped. I tried Nom Nom, Lucy, etc. nothing worked. My favorite local pet store and I always bring my dogs here for the self help washing service. For $15 every time and you get the 4th one if you buy 3 tokens. Sometimes there is a wait especially during weekends so keep that in mind. The staff is always friendly and helpful and they do offer puppy group classes sometimes so if you have a new puppy this would be a great a chance for it to socialize and learn some basic commends. Oh and did I mention they have great dog toys selections too? My pup's favorite is the giant tennis ball. I mean you will never have too many of them and since they are bigger than usual so they don't roll under the sofa which I appreciate. Overall great place to load up pet food and snacks. read more

I went in for a self service pet wash, and while it's fine if you're just doing it for fun, it falls short if your goal is to actually leave with a clean dog. It's $18 for 25 minuets, using a button machine (either that water or dry can be on not both). It includes shampoo, but it's premixed and extremely diluted making it nearly impossible to get a good lather and thorough clean. The dryer is another issue, taking 5-7 minuets (out of your paid time) just to warm up, and even then it's still on the cool side. Overall, for the price, I'd rather pay $5 more and take my dog to a shop that does the wash for me. read more

The Pet Food Express is not just your traditional pet store like those other big name players. The staff working at the front counter were all very upbeat and super friendly during our visit. The best part of PFE is their self serve bathing stations where you can wash your dog at your own pace. There are 4 bathing stations which can easily accommodate small to XL dog breeds. Washes are 15.00 each which give you 1 token worth 25 minutes of time which I thought was more than generous especially for a small breed dog. Dog shampoo, warm rinsing water, an air dryer and towels are all apart of the do it yourself bathing package. In addition to the above, they also sell dog, cat, bird, fish and small critter dietary needs. Puppy and dog training classes are on sight and they have treats and merchandise for all your family pets. Great little pet store. They have some nicer pet items for decent prices. Then I've noticed some mainstream items are priced a bit higher. I like shopping here and browsing around with my dog who always picks out a yummy bone from their open stock bins. They offer great service, and some bigger items like dog crates, cat trees, etc are better quality. Just picked up a 7 ft tall, plush cat tree priced just right ($119) in a dark blue color. I suspect it was priced lower than the neutral colors because they normally range $150 and up. They offered great service in helping me pick out and load it into my SUV. I've been here a few times and have always had a great experience. The employees are very knowledgeable and they have a huge variety of items. Some of my puppy's favorite toys have come from here. This review is for the employee Jayy in particular. My mom and I were just in and he was incredibly patient with my mom and I making her dog a new tag for her collar. The first one didn't turn out as excepted and instead of becoming impatient or short with us, he was helpful and kind every step of the way. I am a bit shy and don't often compliment people but I made sure to let him know his patience was appreciated. Keep up the great work! read more

The customer service here is amazing. Folks will go out of their way to answer your questions and provide good service. They have a deal here, buy 3 of anything and get the 4th free. So I came into purchase some raw dog food and they had only one out of the flavor I was seeking. I was given a bag at 25% off and was told when their next shipment will arrive. Was also impressed by the knowledge of the staff and how willing they were to answer my many questions. The pet food is of good quality and the prices are reasonable. I noticed there's also a dog wash area with tubs and blowers. The tubs are sorta close to each other, so if you have an unsocial pup, this may not be for you. On the other hand, what a bonus to have the shampoo and blow dry in one place and not to have to clean up! Oh and yes, you're given a clean towel. Parking is easy in the lot out front. Today I came in to do a doggy self wash with my 90 lb border collie/lab- long story short, he had a freak out and escaped! Luckily there was a gentlemen working at the register who came to the rescue and was able to help me and got him back into the store with a treat. We have been there 3 times in the last 3 weeks, getting supplies and an education in being good parents to our new Jack Russell. SAHARA is the primary reason we went back after our first visit. She was welcoming and so very helpful - took us under her wing to make sure we were taken care of. I love this place. The people are so very friendly and always helpful. Last night after being there I thought I might've lost my wallet and I called after hours and they still answer the phone. Fortunately I found my wallet down between the seats of my car. The staff are all very friendly and knowledgeable about the products but my favorite feature is the bathing stalls. I know they cost a tiny bit more than other places but they are convenient to me and it makes it so easy to give my German Shepherd the weekly bath he is supposed to have for his allergies. They also have the oxygen wash which is very good to keep his skin from getting infected. They provide towels and do the cleanup and provide aprons that are very useful when he shakes it off. Had such a great experience here and so happy it's right in my neighborhood. Love how easy there bath stations are and don't have to bend down into a deep tub like some of the other places. All the shampoo and conditioner is right in the hose so I don't have to deal with bringing my own supplies or grabbing bottles. They have clean stations. After my pups were all nice and clean we received great advice from the staff on harnesses that we needed to replace. Will be back on a regular basis for sure! read more

I have nothing but positive things to say about PFE. We go quite often, because our pup Taco gets washed there.. we also get all treats and food from there as well. It's become a second home. :) Our dog is a rescue from Korea, and gets really bad anxiety in the car. So we stopped by and the associate helped us get some CBD oil, as well as a personal recommendation that she uses on her dog "calm". We are on the drive now(10hrs) and taco is like a different dog. It's truly amazing. He usually gets sick and we are 4 hours in, and no sick tummy and has been sleeping like a baby. We went into the store looking for our typical kibble, Royal Kanin, and they did not carry it. However, one of the associates, Chris, was extremely helpful. They have a book where they looked up similar brands to our signature brand. In addition to that they have a section of pre made, human grade food that is specially created by a vet to be the ultimate in nutrition and all around dietary needs for your dogs. Coming from my usual excursions to Petsmart and PetCo, I was so pleasantly surprised by the knowledge and friendliness of the staff. Along with quality management as Raul displays, it takes quality employees as a reflection. Assistant managers: Michelle and Linda are so lovely. Store associate: miss Dylan is extremely knowledgeable about health and well being of pets. All the employees are willing to take their time to educate you about products in the store.
