I was helped at the first desk and given a number, but I missed my number as I was waiting for the folks selling me the car to fill in their part of the form, so my number was recycled and I was called up within 2 numbers again. My application was handled graciously by a really nice lady who kept me informed of what she was doing and was quick and efficient. I was in and out in 10 minutes registering a vehicle which is unheard of in Lahaina which takes about 2 weeks, 4 visits and a lot of confusion and abuse from the staff!! This will be my go to DMV when required in person. Everyone was helpful, friendly and the place was clean and efficient. I was pleasantly surprised.

Returned second time and was able to do the process successfully. Weeks past by and did not receive license in mail. Called dmv rude lady was uncooperative so I asked to speak with supervisor, she told me to call the mayor because that is her boss. Returned DMV a third time, paid again for license, but was treated professionally by the staff that day, very polite and helpful. After several moths and three in person attempts, I did finally receive my updated license in the mail. Thank you to the nice ladies with the aloha spirit the third visit.

The woman who helped me was friendly and my entire transaction took less than 5 minutes. The place has been renovated in recent years and was clean and well organized. They could probably do with a few more chairs, though it would probably impede foot traffic a little bit as it is a small office. Overall, it was a pretty pleasant morning.

I did have an online account for said person but the website changed and I couldn't recreate a new log in. PARKING: There were 13 on-street, 1-hour parking stalls (which are never unoccupied) fronting the building, or a parking garage with supposedly high rates according to other reviewers. I forced my spouse to do a drop off & pick up! EXPERIENCE: Located on the first floor of One Main Plaza, security will escort you in while asking some safety questions. He then had me check in on the slow-responding kiosk which issued a ticket number, just like the DMV. The small office had an adequate amount of chairs and 8 windows. A TV screen showed called numbers but no chimes or alerts were sounded to get your attention, but the security guard, out of the goodness of his heart, would verbally announce the numbers and which window to go to. I was called in about 30 minutes which I thought was pretty quick judging by the amount of people waiting. The guy who helped me asked for a death certificate, which I had on my phone but I wasn't allowed to email it to them to see or print out. I did have a hard copy POA which he thankfully accepted along with a few security questions. 5 minutes later I had document in-hand! I think he knew my predicament and assisted me fully because he cared. Much appreciated and thank you! OVERALL: If you've had a bad experience here, I'm pretty sure you were partly to blame. Be civil and you'll go far.

I visited with a 71 year old friend with Parkinsons who hadn't signed up for Part B. It was such…read morean easy process for us to go in, sign up digitally (the security guard will assist you), we only sat for a few minutes and were talking to a really helpful agent who went out of his way to help us. I just wish we had got the gentleman's name so I could give him a personal shout out here! We had to visit the DHS to complete the process and he made sure we knew what to ask for, gave us some print outs and forms to take with us, and made sure we knew where we were going. He was empathetic and helpful and it was such a relief as we though it was going to be a hard process after dealing with the Red Cross and FEMA recently in the Lahaina disaster. Easy parallel street parking outside, friendly security guard at the entrance will show you the way, the security guard at Soc Sec welcomes you and shows you the ropes. Sooo easy. Mahalo to everyone at the Soc Sec office for helping us.

I would normally prefer to drink bleach than go to the Lahaina DMV in person as they have been so…read moreunprofessional and unfriendly and downright rude during all of my visits. I went in to renew a car registration for a friend who is off island with a very sick husband, and they were absolutely awful and totally unhelpful. The DMV employee I was dealing with refused to believe the car belonged to my friend even though I had the actual original car registration certificate in hand. They refused to help me and I had to force myself to try again. However, today I hit gold! In the name of Mylene (angels singing and a halo appearing above her), who was so friendly and helpful and proficient and downright unbelievable for the DMV. She is a godsend to the DMV and I hope they realize it!! While I was waiting for my number to turn up (feeling like I was on the set of Beetlejuice, in the departed waiting room) I heard Mylene help an older man who had recently lost his wife, and a man who lost his house in the Lahaina fires. She was helpful and sympathetic and just a wonderful person to them which was so beautiful to listen to. When it was my turn she was just as helpful and understanding and friendly. Mahalo Mylene, you made my, and several other people's day. I don't think you realize what a breath of fresh air to the Lahaina DMV you are.

The building is made with hollow tile which is a natural insulator, resulting in a cool interior despite the hot conditions outside, and ceiling fans aid in the cooling process. The open beam ceilings provide for an airy feeling. The space can be divided into 3 separate rooms or 1 big one which holds about 400-450 people max. There are lots of big windows that allow natural light to pour in. The fixed stage is equipped with a garage door backdrop that leads to the back of the facility and allows for easy set up for bands & entertainment. The only downfall is the tiny parking lot. There's an adjacent parking lot next door for park users but more than likely a sporting event will be happening so parking is normally super tight.

This is an incredible swimming facility with three different types of pools: (1) large 50 meter x 8…read morelanes , set up for swim meets or blocked no off for 25 meter swim lanes and diving sections in the deep end; (2) 4-foot tapered to 2-foot for water aerobics classes, disabled swim lanes and children's or non swimmers play area; (3) shallow 1+ foot kiddie pool with water fountains and gated perimeter for safety. There is no fee charged. Appropriate number of lifeguards are on duty. They are always professional and personable. Showers outdoors and in the restrooms/ locker rooms are available for mandatory showers before swimming. The facilities are well maintained. This place is quite amazing!!!
