I could write an essay about how much I love Kai Mook but I'll keep it short!! They serve the most amazing food, it's beautiful, fresh, and delicious. I could simply live off their red curry. My bf always gets the fried rice and we share the curry puffs! I also recommend the crunchy tofu appetizer and hibiscus iced tea. This is a place to go for real Authentic Thai food, especially noodle soup:). I am a Thai person who LOVE TO EAT my Thai food. This is a family own restaurant and all the chefs and workers are the whole family. They are very new to our neighborhood and also very nice people. They prep their food daily all fresh and no preservatives and also lean meat. I am so happy to have a nice Thai restaurant in our town. I have been seeing them trying to put things together and pushing through all kind of rules and regulations for months. It has been a long wait for them to finally open their door and start their business. I really wish they are doing well since their food are super delicious. Their rad nah is fantastic. When you order takeout, to not get soggy, the liquid and the noodles are separated, which also makes it easy to store for leftovers. Also, we've been a little addicted to the chive cakes. They're totally worth it and I 100% recommend you get yourself some. read more

my husband and i happened upon Kai Mook after vising downtown Millbury and decided we need some Thai noshes before heading home. we entered intending to get takeout, but the restaurant had JUST opened up a single table for in-house dining, so we decided to settle in and enjoy appetizers there, and take our entrees to go. service was ridiculously sweet and polite. we could not have been better taken care of. exactly like being a guest in someone's home. we had fried pork gyoza, chive dumplings, and fresh summer rolls to start. these were all delicious and on point. the summer rolls with their sweet and savory peanut dipping sauce were satisfying, as were the gyoza with their acidic potsticker sauce. for me the chive dumplings were the star. if you've never had them OMG PLEASE do. they have this wonderfully crisp exterior, with a chewy and soft interior. these are absolutely phenomenal, and even travel well for a fried food. for entrees, we got some papaya salad, drunken noodles with pork, fried rice with chicken, khao soi with chicken and pad thai with chicken. (yes- we ordered a lot). everything was super tasty, and had those comforting and familiar Thai flavors that i love. can't say enough good things about this restaurant. while we were there, there was a strong take out game happening, and they manage the phone very efficiently. happy to see that they're slowing opening for in-house dining and wish them continued success. we'll definitely be back. read more

Visited from NY for a Spartan race and did not expect to find any cuisine to shout about. Thank goodness I was wrong! We took a chance on Kai Mook and we left happy. I ordered the chive cakes and the pad see ew with chicken. My only regret was that I was in a rush, so I didn't get to really savor it before I had to head out. This was the first chive cake I've had where I could actually taste the chives! Usually, the dish tastes more like fried dough at other places. Everything was prepared with love and care and it made for amazing leftovers later when I got home. The ambience was great and the restaurant was immaculate. My in-laws are Thai and I can tell you that being there felt like eating with a warm Thai family. I made conversation with the owner and found out that they even serve jok in the winter, which is a traditional Thai rice soup that I can barely find anywhere in NY. If that doesn't feel like a warm Thai homecoming, I don't know what does. Next time I'm in the neighborhood, I'll be sure to come again and stay a while to truly enjoy my meal. read more

twas pretty good. i got this random thing because i like to play Russian roulette with new foods. The fun part is i'm a picky eater. What i got i, in-fact didn't like. Don't recommend that game. it's fun with Icecream, not thai food. those two don't correlate much but you get what i'm saying. Also Thai coffee is pretty good. read more

Updating my review to 5 stars! I used to think Thai Pepper in Milford was the best Thai place in the area, but it's definitely Kai Mook. I had the Yellow Curry tonight with veggies & tofu and it was so flavorful and packed with pineapple and fried tofu. They also made it vegan which is hard to find! My friend and I had never been there before and have been wanting to try it out for a very long time. From the time we walked in, to the time that we left, we were treated like family. Our server was very gracious and offered many suggestions. We tried a bunch of things, due to their great prices, and were disappointed by none of it! 2 things that stood out were the Curry Puffs and the Jeh'Lek Noodle Soup. I feel very fortunate to live around the corner from Kai Mook. They have some pretty delicious food. The fresh summer rolls are some of the best around, as is the green curry. Their drunken noodles are also very good. And last time I decided to have a Vietnamese iced coffee which was a delightful treat -- sweet enough that I can't have it too often but it is crave-worthy. I also really appreciate that they ask if you need utensils with your take-away. Many restaurants don't ask and don't listen when you specifically state that you don't need any. read more

AMAZING Thai food! If I lived closer they'd be sick of my face by now! My husband and I lived and traveled in Asia for 6 years and I've definitely eaten my fair share of Thai food over the years. This place is outstanding. The food was delicious. fresh, flavorful and authentic. The Tod Mon appetizer was yummy! Piping hot and flavorful and the dipping sauce was perfect. My husband gets Tom Yum at every Thai we ever go to and said that this one was the best ever 10/10. I tried the Himmaparn with chicken and it might by the greatest thing I've ever eaten. I also couldn't believe the chicken was gluten free (new thing for me to have to avoid wheat, so I still remember the good stuff)! Husband also had the congee and loved it. Frozen mango smoothly was the perfect dessert. Lastly, but so important, the lady who took our order (I believe she was the owner), was super sweet, patient with us and all of our questions and a delightful person to talk to! We got takeout tonight. Usually takeout needs to be reheated by the time it gets home and on plates. I had the drunken noodle with tofu. My husband had the yellow curry. I only had mine, so I can't review his. The drunken noodle is definitely top notch! Not for one who doesn't like spicy! All of the veggies were so fresh, and delicious. Wow. I have been driving by this restaurant every day without ever stopping by for months, and boy am I glad that I stopped by today! This place is by far one of the best Thai places in the area! The place is small, but clean and quaint. The fam and I ordered the following: Spring rolls: crispy on the outside, not soggy on the inside like many other places I've tried. Curry puffs: the curry is not overpowering, and it's a good blend of sweet and salty with a touch of spice. Crust is flaky and well cooked. Bangkok chicken balls (grilled version): this surprised me the most. While it's made of chicken, the texture moreso reminded me of oden (fish cake balls) because it is so smooth. Paired with the peanut sauce, these are not packed with flavor, but subtle and nice. Pad Thai with chicken: a little on the sweet side, and chicken is a touch dry, but far better than other pad thai out there! Noodles were still nice and chewy, not mushy. Drunken noodles: was expecting spicier, but it didn't detract from the taste. A nice blend of sweet and spicy. Vegetables were not over cooked and still had its crunch even with the ride home. Pineapple fried rice: curry isn't overpowering. Rice is not mushy and overcooked. Not overly salty. Was the food native Thai spicy? No. But that didn't detract from the food. Would we go back again? I found this restaurant by chance and have been a regular here after the first time I tasted their food!! Due to covid I've always done a Togo but the service is prompt and food is delicious and properly packed! They have affordable for the pocket lunch which is smaller than the dinner but are good portion for a lunch meal! I can't really say enough good things about eating at Kai Mook. There's a lot of nice things to be said about the takeout, too, but the best bet is eating in. Make sure to get all the condiments. Honestly just order anything and eat it. In particular, I recommend getting beef, noodles, anything with the chicken meatballs, oh, and if you see the takeout containers full of sweet, crispy noodles GET THEM. Basically, order the stuff you don't recognize, load it up with spicy fish sauce and pickled hot peppers, and go to town. Wash it down with some Thai iced tea and/or coffee. Delicious Thai family style restaurant. Their flavored Thai coffees in particular are great. BYOB. Bright, colorful, comfortable interior. Be forewarned though, the parking has very limited space if it's peak hours. Welcomed and welcoming. Very authentic, very fresh, very delicious. We stumbled upon this place located where S.E.A Cusine was, during their soft open. We were warmly welcomed by the owner and her adorable son and godson. The food was delicious. The service was prompt and warm. We had the curry puffs (think Thai Samosas) and the dumplings to start, and the owner brought us over a sample of the royal crispy noodle. Everything was delicious. I know they are brand new and honestly this review is written with that in mind. Our experience was so disappointing. We ordered take out and order consisted of Todd Mon Chicken (replacement for the "sold out" meatballs), spring rolls, Pad Thai and Khao Soi. Upon arriving and attempting to pick up our order, we were informed after mass confusion that our order was forgotten and we needed to wait an additional 15 minutes. While waiting a guest of the restaurant was served chicken meatballs - that were "sold out for the night" when I called, which was just strange. When asked about it I was told, well they were just made... Once our food was ready there were no apologies for the error or any attempt to rectify the situation. [Later that night we received a call from someone saying we could get a free app next time we order]. Once we got home, the only thing that was actually good was the spring rolls. We tried the Todd Mon Chicken - which was rubbery and had no flavor I questioned if it was even chicken. The chicken on the Khao Soi was not appealing and the pickled vegetables in the bowl did not seem to work with the sauce (which was good but very strange looking). The Pad Thai was way below expectations with too much fish sauce to be able to taste anything else. I know they just opened, so I may try them again in 6 months and hope they work out their issues... read more
