My husband and I are foodies and love going to places in milledgeville. I love supporting local business and trying find the hidden gems. this place was on the top of my list to try out. Ordered sushi, Pananag curry and ramen, for the area it's a 10/10. Def best sushi in Milledgville and way better than the one in Forsyth! If I were back in the west coast or you're somone who eats Thai food regularly 6.5-7ish/10. I loved the food and can't wait to come back! my only feedback is the waiter kept messing up my order. Been here a handful of times now so I can safely give my honest input. I'm glad to see something different in the restaurant mix besides burgers and American food. They serve up a healthy mix of dishes like curries, fried rice, sushi rolls, hibachi and specialty items. If your unsure about expanding your eastern palate, this is a good spot to try since there is a lot of variety. They also have a full bar including Thai beers. The inside is well lit, spacious, clean and the decor welcomes pops of color. Staff is attentive and nice. We haven't had a server yet with a sour attitude. Bathrooms are very clean. Was in town for work and stopped here to take advantage of their lunch specials. Our server was quick and attentive. I ordered the duck spicy noodles and was delighted when I found out I got an eggroll with my meal and a choice between miso soup and salad. I opted for the salad and the ginger dressing was so refreshing. The duck was cooked surprisingly well- the skin was crispy and the meat was juicy and flavorful. We had a very enjoyable experience at Kai Thai and were pleasantly surprised to find it conveniently located outside the Milledgeville Mall. The inside is spacious and very tastefully decorated, and pretty busy for a late Monday afternoon. The server offered almost any dish to be prepared with a gluten free sauce, which made me very happy. We had mixed veggies with chicken and rice noodles with steak. Thai tea was delicious! The hostess and our server were quick, pleasant and efficient. Next time we will try the sushi- the chef was hard at work creating many customers' orders and it looked tasty. read more

The food is excellent and prices are better than expected. Service is also very good. I had sushi the first night and absolutely enjoyed the mackerel! But the neighboring tables on both sides of me had duck. I inquired and learned from the host that it was one if their specialties. Soooooo, I came back a second night and had the duck. I ordered stir fried broccoli with garlic and carrots with nearly a full duck on top. I love duck and can tell you this duck was one of the best. I did not expect to find this in a small town. Food: There are selections of sushi, sashimi, and Thai dishes of every kind. Appetizers are all delicious. I have been there many times and have never been disappointed. Portions are generous and dishes are served as spicy or mild as you wish. Service: Servers are attentive even when very busy. Price: Usually around $15per person or $25 if you want appetizers. Alcohol will increase the cost of course and there is a full bar with a selection of mixed drinks and some Japanese beers. We took family to one of our favorite spots in Milly, Kai Thai. Service was fast and efficient. The room has been a bit cold this past month or so, so be sure to bring a sweater. We started with edamame, steamed gyoza (healthier but I prefer fried) and crab ragoons. I do wish the ragoons had more filling as they were unbelievably flat, read no filling. Other than that, meal was overall tasty. SIL said tonkotsu broth was lukewarm making it not a great ramen with no real depth of flavor. My sushi bowl while good lacked enough rice. Very busy place with a clean well-lit lit dining room that smells clean and fresh. Moderate noise level from people enjoying each other's company. I was seated immediately and the server was by quickly for a drink order. I ordered water and a lemon wedge was offered. Great suggestion after sweating on the job site it was refreshing. The server was back promptly with the water and answered questions about the menu. I ordered a Nigiri sampler, chef's choice, with a salad. I enjoyed the dish. Love the food. But DO NOT ORDER online. Placed order at 5:30 for a 6:20 pickup. Arrived at 6:15 was told it wasn't ready. Fine I was early. By 6:30 was told they were packing my order. 6:40 packing order. Got my order at 6:50. Watched people walk in get seated order and get their food while I was waiting. We arrived on a Friday evening at 5:25 pm. As we were telling the host the number of guests (2), the table behind us were leaving, and it was obvious they had not eaten. (Now we know why) We were told we could have that table, however they had a reservation for 20 at 6 pm and could not serve me before this party. The restaurant was not close to full and while I realize parties take extra, you don't tell a customer you cannot get them serviced prior to a party when there's 35 min before the party even arrives. So you would like me to believe your restaurant can be crippled by a party of 20 for all other customers prior? Delicious food with large portions. The spicy eggplant was perfectly seasoned and the spring rolls were hot and fresh. My husband had the sweet and sour chicken which he described as incredible. Went there today at 12:15 for my birthday. I always get the #2 Sushi special. Went there with 2 other guests who were going to order off the dinner menu. They told us it was not available due to them only serving off the dinner menu today. Really, noon time and they can make this? Here is what it is- #2 *SUSHI AND PADTHAI $17 3 pcs of nigiri, 4 pcs cali roll, fried rice, and your choice of pad thai with chicken I was told, by the manager, they can't make it like this but I could order full size dinner plates of each of these items. I asked how much and he said $38 or more. So they lost out on serving 3 people drinks, appetizers, and dinners (one off the lunch menu) just because of their pigheadedness. Ridiculous. On Thursday, I used KNG Delivery to get an order of Masaman Curry with Shrimp for dinner on Friday. Included, was a small Thai salad, and an Egg Roll. Yum. However, when I got the order, it was with Beef! :-( I love beef dishes. But, damn it, I ordered shrimp. And, unlike 2 or 3 previous orders" I wanted Shrimp, not beef. So, I called KNG to find out what happened. Luckily, I was able to get an additional container of Masaman Shrimp (nothing added). Even though I didn't have to, I did give the driver another tip (actually, and because I don't have a car anymore, it was a gift card for a local restaurant). On Friday, I heated up the Egg Roll, and the Shrimp Curry. The salad, and the Thai dressing, was fresh, crisp and delicious. The Egg Roll, and Shrimp Curry (would have liked more shrimp, but I didn't see any way of asking for it) were scrumptious. For Saturday's dinner, I had the Beef Curry. It was very good. But, I did find a few pieces of beef to be a bit tough; I'm not sure if it was due to freezing it, or not (I reheated it on the stove top). While it is sometimes difficult ordering from here, I do enjoy the food. So, for sure, I'll be back. read more

By far my favorite restaurant in the Milledgeville area!! I went to college here and I always loved getting something to eat here whether I dined in with friends or took it go! Everyone is always kind and food is always spot on and consistent. I always get the crunchy shrimp roll with spring rolls and something else. The gyoza are also great. Or I get the drunken/dui noodles with chicken which are also delicious. I have it both medium and spicy and they aren't that bad. Not too spicy. When I would go there they had the smaller footprint for space but my last visit they were at their new location and they have so much room for seating now. Highly recommended!! Best sushi in Milledgeville by far!! Don't go anywhere else. I wish they were closer to my hometown because it's amazing. read more

The new location near the mall is lovely. It's well decorated and spacious. The chicken larb, Nam Sod and papaya salad were all fresh and delicious. The larb and Nam Sod are served with the traditional cabbage which I prefer to lettuce. The red curry chicken medium spice was as good or better than our favorite places in Norcross. We went for sushi....but they were out of Sake (hot & cold), Coca-Cola and when I asked for a DRAFT beer, the waitress mentioned Saporo - but when the waitress returned, said they were out of DRAFT so she brought me a bottle.
