My husband and I were waiting to pickup food from a neighboring restaurant and noticed Chico and Chang had excellent reviews on Yelp. Since we parked in front of the restaurant and wanted veggie spring rolls (vegetarian) we walked in and placed a order. The entire staff greeted us when we walked in. The ambiance was casual and had open seating. We ordered the spring rolls which were reasonably priced. The restaurant was clean and definitely a nice place to dine in at. One of the staff members brought our spring rolls out to us when they were done. Service was very good. When we arrived home an hour later the rolls were still surprisingly crispy and tasty. We will be back here to eat and their milk tea is on my must try list as well. read more

These chicken nuggets are what's poppin' for me. They are so so good. But you don't have to take my word for it. You will have to try them for yourself. This is a food fast kinda spot. The people behind the counter aren't going to be overly friendly and basically get what you order and keep it moving. We came in as a group and ordered a mix of items to try them out. Initially the owner was short and barely made eye contact when we first came in, but after we started ordering she became a lot friendlier and after we sat down, brought us extra sauces to try out. The favorite was the Taiwanese fried nuggets. I've had a lot better in other parts of Georgia, but given where they are and who they primarily serve...I'll give them some slack. They were slightly on the chewy side and lacked a little bit of the crispy element that fried chicken like this should..but the flavor was there. I missed the crispy basil though. The spicy chicken plate wasn't really the level of heat it should and could have been, but overall, it wasn't a bad pick. More than likely will not be back here. read more

We had takeout I got the tofu tacos awesome they can also be made vegan. My husband got the chicken burrito he enjoyed it said it was on the dry side but added yum yum sauce and he was good to go. He also got the pork egg rolls and I got the spring rolls amazing. We also did take out 2 weeks later I got the firecracker tofu it was good but if you're vegetarian or vegan I suggest the tacos it's a much better choice imo. I definitely would recommend. My husband and I were driving back to Atlanta from Savannah when we yelp this place along the way. This is a small mom and pop's restaurant with great service, price and food. I gave it 5 stars due to the followings: 1. Location: it was easily accessible from the highway and plenty of ample parking. 2. Service: you will need to order at the counter and they will bring your food to your table. You will then need to take your dirty dishes to the trash can near the door. The service was adequate for this type of restaurant. The owners were nice when we needed extra utensils. 3. Price: the prices were extremely reasonable. We had 3 tacos, a burrito, dumplings, and a noodle soup bowl all for roughly $35ish. 4. Setting: clean, ample of comfortable seating, and decent decor. Overall, my husband and I thought this was a great restaurant for a quick lunch. Would definitely come back if we were ever in the area again. read more

Last week I ordered from here and via DoorDash ever. I went by reviews and ordered the Spicy Pork Bibimpap Bowl with a side of YumYum sauce. Other than the egg being well done as opposed to the "sunny side up" in the description, It was fabulous!!! Great combo of flavors and the taste of YumYum here and there were, as the name would indicate, YUMMY! It was a lot more food than I could finish but I did my best. Tonight was my second time to have Door Dash deliver from here. Tonight I had the Spicy Chicken Bibimbap Bowl with the added Kimchi Rice. I requested the egg be sunny side up and it was perfect! I'm torn on both the Spicy Chicken and the Kimchi rice. The description read "sliced white chicken meat", of which there seemed to be a few slices. The other meat texture was ground & indistinguishable as chicken or? If that was something that was in the kimchi rice then I'm to fault on that. If it was the chicken part of the entree, I wouldn't have ordered ground chicken (personal thing. Creepy texture to me). Either way, I didn't care for that and the few "slices" of chicken were meager at best. While I would reorder the kimchi rice (if that's not where the ground meat originated) but as an entree. A lot of flavor combos going on. I preferred the pale pallet of steamed rice from my first order because it kept a nice balance and the flavors complemented one another, rather than feeling like a civil war in a bowl. I would not, however, order the spicy chicken bowl again. The pork version had four times the meat and better flavors overall. Popped in here for take out dinner tonight. Had zero expectations when I made the decision, there's a ton of chain restaurants around and a few independently owned ones too- I figured this was Korean owned so I'd give it a shot. The restaurant is SUPER clean and set up for quite a few folks to get in and out of here relatively quickly. I'd say that fast casual is a good way to describe the Korean-Mexican mash up on the menu. That being said, I ordered the Spicy Pork burrito with Kim chee rice (vs seasoned rice) and the beef noodle soup. Sat down and waited about ten minutes to get my food and head back to the hotel. The beef noodle soup is basically revved up Udon noodle soup with veggies (zucchini, carrots, spinach, mushrooms, along with some bulgogi (Korean marinated beef) on top. The only couple negative me I have to say is that I didn't know mushrooms came with the dish, I spent time getting them out before digging in. Not a problem, I should've asked. Devoured this dish- since it was in a to-go container the beef ended up overcooking a little bit, but that's nitpicking. Tasty and perfect for a cold evening. There's lots of options for people to grab food here: tacos, burritos, rice bowls, appetizers, etc. The spicy pork burrito? I kind of wish they cut it in half so it's easier to manage but that's still being way pickier than I should be. Holy cow this thing is a flavor bomb! Onions, spicy pork, Kim chee, it's got quite the punch. The burrito is plenty for someone who is hungry. Don't be fooled, this thing is packed full of tasty goodness. I'm staying here to meet with a customer but I can assure you I'll be back to try some of their "favor snacks" that they advertised. Not really sure if that's a typo but either way I don't care. Worth coming in to try if you like Korean food, and if you haven't tried it yet- a good way to get a brief introduction to the flavors. I'll be back! read more

Sesame Fries. That was really all I needed to read. Those two small words were enough to cement my dinner choices not once, but both nights we spent in Macon. It wasn't just that the words were glowing off of the back lit menu screen, it was also that they were included in so many reviews, over and over again. Sesame Fries. So we ordered. We shared the fries, but only so we could order a bigger variety. I tried the Nachos, substituting spicy chicken for the beef bulgogi. The chicken was not truly spicy, and I welcomed the ready supply of sliced jalapeños on the dish. I left behind a bunch of the chips, but everything else on the huge platter was consumed. I sampled the firecracker tofu, which was good, but was let down by the rice, which was far too fluffy to hold the sauce. No problem, just ignore the rice and have another fry! The Taiwanese Chicken Nuggets were dark meat bursts of salt and flavor, easy to dunk in the house made sauce that accompanied the dish. I also had the joy of a not too sweet, just chewed enough milk tea with extra boba. It was delicious and helped wash down the crispy crunchy salty fried foods. My second night included a taro smoothie instead, though I'd have happily ordered the milk tea a second time. If you are in Macon and are wondering where to take friends who might balk at the idea of an Asian meal, Chico and Changs might work for them. It's the fun side of fusion, and I'm positive that the perfection that exists in the form of Sesame Fries is enough to Winn anyone over! read more
