We had Kaiser Garage Doors out this week to service our garage doors. Husband noticed that one of them was pretty noisy. They showed up on time, and found that two of the doors were not working properly. Poncho knew what was wrong, fixed the two doors, inspected the others and was done within 1/2 hour. Everything is now working as expected. We've had good service from Kaiser Garage Doors every time, from the person who answers the phone, the person who calls to confirm the appointment, to the person who does the work. The price is very reasonable as well. We'll continue to use Kaiser and will recommend them to others. read more

Emergency services on a warrantied door is apparently not a thing here. You only get emergency service on the weekends if your door is out of warranty and then you have to pay something like $200 per hour to have your door repaired. What a scam. I learned all of this yesterday afternoon when we attempted to open our garage door and it malfunctioned again. It is totally inoperable, even in a manual mode so we are basically stuck at home until they decide to come and service the door. I missed work today as a result. The door was installed in a new build 3 years ago. We have had Kaiser out several times for this same error code. We also had a problem with the metal panels, so they came out and replaced the panels and completely reinstalled the door a couple of weeks ago. Shortly after they left, we encountered the same error code. Someone came out a few days later to service the door but apparently did not fix the problem. When we couldn't open the door, I called for emergency service. The person that answered the phone was unprofessional, untruthful and a little bit rude during the first call. He said he would call his manager to ask if they could service us without charge (even though it's not policy). Two hours later I was still waiting for a call, so I called back. Same guy answered the phone. He claimed his manager wasn't returning his calls but I'm a little skeptical of that. I just got the feeling he never bothered to contact the manager. I could be wrong though. This time he said he would call me back within 15 minutes. That was last night about 7 p.m. It is now 11 a.m. the next day and still no call back. That is just plain rude to not call back when you clearly promised to call back in 15 minutes!! read more

My relatively new garage door, initially installed by Kaiser, became off track and appeared to be significantly damaged after closing. I called Kaiser and they showed up within the hour and were repairing the door immediately. The tech (Benny?) was excellent and had the door repaired in about 45 minutes. Who knew that a $135 garage door safety check involved an abrasive tech putting the door up and down and spraying so much oil from a can that it has permeated my entire house??? This all took about 4 minutes. Is the door safe? Are the springs good? What about the opener? No idea! Mostly this guy was trying to get me to buy a service offered by his own personal business. Arrived in the 2 hour window they scheduled. Reasonable cost. Tightened metal strip on garage door that holds the seal on. Inspected the seal. Adjusted the spring. Repaired a loose bracket by adding another bolt. Oiled door. After complete asked me to try opening & closing it to see if I was satisfied. Summary: Took care of what I asked for. Polite, kind, finished in about 15 minutes thus quick, trained well. I will call them again when needed. read more

I would not recommend Kaiser after they installed a garage door and opener in my newly built home. I have had four separate visits by different Kaiser techs. Each one said the other tech installed the garage door opener components incorrectly. Apparently there must not be any installation instructions for the techs to go on, so they perform guess work. I even had to tighten bolts myself because the emergency handle release parts were about ready to fall on my car. Kaiser techs never could adjust the garage door to open and close properly. I had to pay another company to do this since I didn't trust Kaiser. read more

If I could give zero stars I would- that would equal the level of service I have experienced. As I write this review, I am on hold for a "supervisor " (9 minutes & 53 seconds & counting). The tragedy is the only service I require is squeaky doors- this is a new build & likely would take less than an hour. They have not shown up, or mis-scheduled twice now! It is now one week later, for the third time they have not shown up as scheduled. I wasn't going to send this review as I wanting wait until the actual service was completed. Clearly that is not going to happen, yet again/ for the third time!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS! UPDATE: They finally showed up (after my calling) . I had my garage door opener replaced 4-5 months ago. The Technician told me he was going to take care of the wall mount keypad on the outside of the garage. I thought he just reprogrammed it. Fast forward this week, I went to use it for the first time and it wouldn't work. After some reading and research the wall mount keypad isn't compatible with the new opener that was installed. I called the office and was told that those aren't included with the new openers and was also told "I don't know why the tech didn't talk to you about it". However we can install one for $55.00 plus a service call fee. I cannot believe the audacity of this company! Neither one of the 2 technicians that were here never mentioned it! I even asked the tech that did the actual replacement to make sure the wall mount keypad was good. Terrible customer service, didn't even offer any sort of discount. read more

Had 3 new garage doors installed by Kaiser Doors three years ago, their new powder coat version of iron-oxidized copper. Initially very pleased, as Rob Kaiser, who installed them, said to call if any problems. There were no problems until this Summer when what looks like white drips appeared evenly over the three doors. When I called, I was told they were off warranty and would need to replaced. They sent a tech out to see them but he couldn't figure out what could possibly have happened and I did not want to replace them without knowing the cause. As we were not in town, the manager, Jason said he would stop by when we returned to discuss what they could do. I have now called him and left a message three times over two weeks with no call back. I have used the Tucson office several times in the past for personal and real estate related...Fast forward to now the service has dropped from good to zero. They cant properly schedule appointments. When they do and you request a "heads up" on what needs to be done they call once, don't leave a message and do whatever they convince the homeowner to do. Never calling them again. Stay away from this company, they use the cheap parts that don't last and have terrible workmanship. We had parts incorrectly installed that caused multiple failures just a few years after the Kaiser installation. These guys are great. Our opener stopped working last week, and we called Kaiser to come out and replace it. The technician was able to fix the existing unit, and just charged us for the service call. That's the best possible outcome! We've had them out several times to replace a broken spring, etc. They always show up right on time (they call a day or two beforehand to set the appointment window), their people are very courteous and knowledgeable. We will continue to have Kaiser do all the service on our garage doors. read more

Update - lied and never showed and never called! After the original no-show by this company I called on my next appointment date to make sure somebody was going to come. I called at nine and left a message with the scheduler to confirm my appointment for 11. At 11 I still had not received a call so I called back again and the gal who looked at my record said it was noted the scheduler had talk to me and had rescheduled my appointment for the next week. This was a lie! I told her I would not be home the next Thursday and did I need to be in order for them to work on the garage. she said she would check with the guy and call me back. She did not I have never heard from them again. I found someone else to do the job. Made an appt. two weeks ago to have my door sealed between 11 and 1 today. I just called and the guys is busy on a commercial job and wont be here. No one was going to call and let me know. I rescheduled for Weds. Lets see what happens read more

Took weeks before anyone called us back for our request for an estimate. When someone did come, they never gave us a confirmation to let us know they stopped by, we only assume they did after they finding markings on the dirt for measurements. Still haven't gotten that estimate at this point, and they were supposed to come back last Tuesday, which turned out to be a no show. read more

They got here in less than 3 hours from when we called and took less than an hour to complete the repair. They were very professional and thorough. Kaiser installed a new garage door opener for me in September of 2018. My old one still functioned, but I wanted to upgrade to a unit with battery backup and WiFi enabled, and to add a keypad. After some online research I spoke with the salesman and selected a Lift Master, the best model for my needs. Russ came out 2 days later with the new unit and had everything installed, balanced, and lubricated in less than 2 hours. It's worked beautifully! Today I heard a terrible crashing noise in my garage just moments after returning with groceries for the holidays. I saw the garage door spring had snapped, and I couldn't even lift the garage door to get my vehicle in or out. I called Kaiser immediately, at. They were booked solid through the 30th of December! When I explained my dilemma the dispatcher said she would check in with her crew and call me back. Within minutes CJ contacted me and said he had one job ahead of me, nearby, but he would be to my place in 45 minutes. CJ arrived ahead of the 45 minute time frame, quickly looked at the problem, discussed a few options, and gave me the reasonable quote, which I readily accepted. CJ was personable and friendly, professional and efficient. He got right to work installing the new springs. As he lubricated the springs and rollers, he gave us a few tips on proper maintenance. As he wrote up the invoice, my neighbor called saying she had a problem with her garage door opener. Perfect timing! CJ said he would swing by her house on the way out to check out the issue. The entire process from the time I made my phone call to the Kaiser office until CJ drove off to help my neighbor took just an hour. That is excellent service anytime, but during the holiday season, its exceptional! read more

We bought a new garage door and tracks from Kaiser and every year the door comes off the track and bends. I called the manager Jim Warner who argued that it's normal and that's why they have a service department. I told him that the tracks were installed bent and the slightest thing will throw the wheels out of the track. He denies that being the issue and told me I should have bought a more expensive door if I didn't want problems with it every year. I called Kaiser for a quote on a job on a property we're renovating in 2018. We needed two electric gates and a garage door installed. The agent who came out was Steve McMurray who is the general manager. I was hoping to get the job done before we left for the holidays to our winter home in Pennsylvania. As it turned out, it took quite a while to get a quote back and by the time they submitted the quote we had already left for Pennsylvania. So, when we came back to Tucson, I called and left a message for Mr. McMurray to which I did not get a response. I called back on two separate occasions and left two more messages for him and I never got a response. Finally, I called them back and asked why he was not returning my messages. The lady who answered said she did not know why. So, I asked if somebody else can come out and start the job. However, they said too much time had passed and they would have to send somebody else out again. This time however, they needed to send two different people, one for the gates, and another for the garage door. The person for the garage door came out, measured, and submitted a quote at which time we said, let's get going on this, we need it done as soon as possible. Then on another date, two gentleman came out for the gates and finally after a couple weeks they emailed me a quote only after I called and pressed them for it. When the two gentlemen were here, I informed them that I needed to get moving on this and that I was not going to deal with anyone else. I didn't have time for multiple quotes, I just need to get this job done. I don't know why they refuse to contact me or why they don't want to do business with us; perhaps one of their relatives worked for me and got terminated, perhaps they hate gays, perhaps they disliked our democratic political signs, WHO KNOWS? I have no idea. All I know is they have a horrible attention to detail and they do not follow up. It must be nice to have so much business that you can cherry pick your customers and treat your discards like crap! read more

It literally fell off the tracks and almost landed on our vehicles. Motor burnt out, rails had to be redone. Wall mounts fried... and on and on. Now the could have busted and that's "normal wear and tear" . It might be, but when you have zero confidence in a company because all you have had is bad service that's a tough pill to swallow. I've been meaning to write this review for a while because they deserve it. I've worked with Kaiser for a over 12 years now. I've only had to call upon them 3 times during that time. The initial installation, A general service call to maintenance the motor and this past winter when the springs snapped due to the freezing cold. In all 3 cases the Rep who showed up to do the work was professional, courteous and clean about his work. I found the prices in line with other shops in the Tucson area and I've been happy with their customer service. Few businesses get a 3 star from me let alone a 4 but Kaiser earned it and I just hope that they continue to keep up their standards of service. read more

We had one of the Kaiser service guys come out to check our garage door opener since it was making a clicking sound when it opened. It needed a new gear drive assembly. While here he also adjusted the door and reinforced the left mechanism. He seemed very competent. Recommended. read more

Made appointment a week ago. Business called to confirm appointment range time between 1-3pm the day prior. The day of 'service', nobody ever showed up or called. I called office and they stated that technician still had 2 more stops before he could make it to my appointment and asked if I would like to reschedule. Let me start by saying this is a review for a commercial property with 10ft roll up steel doors.... Kaiser.... We used them back in 2/15/16 first experience amazing..... came out and replace a couple slats bill was 309.28 Billy was the tech 2nd time was 3/12/19 horrible had them come out to look at two doors tech "Not Billy" was there for 5 minutes said they both roll ups needed to be replaced and left without seeing me had a tenant sign a paper stating they would charge about 100 for the call out.... called them talked to the manager he was nice.. said he wouldn't charge anything and that they would be back out 3/12/19 to look at the doors while I was present...Sales Rep showed up looked at the doors and told me yes we need to replace them instead of repairing them like they did back in 2016.. said that they didn't want to fix them and warranty the work.. the Sales Rep quoted me about $1000 give or take a couple hundred for each door installed...cool awesome I said....He told me he would email me with the actually quote that day did not hear from him until the next day and told me sorry gave you a bad quote each door installed is about $2300 each!!!!!!! cheaper less secure door would be $1500.....obviously the sales rep doesn't know anything about the products they service and sell and should be fired........I again asked them please just repair the slats like last time and they refused again and again...then the sales rep told me Billy works for C&D GARAGE DOORS now and to call them and see what they can do.....SO I DID.....THANKS KAISER FOR THE REFERRAL they came out same day 3/12/19 repair both doors on the spot for $270.00 SHAME ON YOU KAISER sounds like unless you make a pretty penny you guys don't want the job... Be warned... I have used Kaiser for YEARS. Loved their service. Always professional. However, recently they have been terrible!! Had my garage springs replaced. Cost me $200. Great right! Well The spring they installed failed again. The repair technician that came out argued that it wasn't their parts or their work. I had to call office with my date of service and credit card receipt to prove it. Not only would they NOT Warranty their own work... they charged me over $400 for the service call that took under 30 minutes because they tacked on 2 hours of "travel time" WOW.
