Dr. Bui operated on both of my feet so great that only the day after surgery I had slight pain and that was it! As of the second day, I was able to walk around without any pain or discomfort. For my first procedure he gave me various painkillers, anti inflammatory, ... Not only I didn't find the need to take them, for the second procedure I asked him not to prescribe me any medications as I wouldn't need any. To me, these were magical procedures. If I had not experienced this on my own, I wouldn't believe anyone's advice! I feel lucky and grateful for being referred to Dr. Bui by my nephew. Dr. Bui is also my sister's specialist as well yet referred by my nephew. Now, we have an outstanding family doctor. Appreciate it Dr. Bui!

Very disappointing experience at the Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara Laboratory, Department 168 on…read morethe 1st Floor. My young son has Down syndrome, is nonverbal, and experiences severe anxiety with medical procedures. Despite requesting a private room to help reduce his distress, we were required to remain in the main laboratory area for his blood draw. The procedure became increasingly traumatic as he cried, struggled, and became overwhelmed. After the blood draw, he removed his bandage due to sensory distress and began bleeding down his arm and onto the floor. While he was visibly upset and actively bleeding, assistance was not provided as quickly as it should have been. I expected greater compassion, appropriate accommodations for a child with developmental disabilities, and a more trauma-informed approach to pediatric care. Instead, the experience felt rushed, stressful, and unnecessarily traumatic for my child. I hope Kaiser reviews its procedures and staff training for working with pediatric patients and individuals with special needs.

Yikes...do yourself a favor and get your vision exam/prescription from someone who specializes in…read morethis department. This is not Kaiser Santa Clara's forte. I decided to give them a try since I was already there to visit my GP and figured, why not. But the examination I received was not thorough and this resulted in a terrible prescription. When I received my lenses, I knew something was very wrong because as soon as I put them on, my eyes were uncomfortable and they started to give me a headache. I felt slightly nauseous after attempting to wear them for a few hours. And I got a migraine. When I returned to the vision department to complain that something wasn't right, I was told two things: that my eyes just needed to adjust to the prescription and that I must be wearing the lenses wrong! Absolutely ridiculous. In the end, the prescription was so awful that I was unable to wear the lenses and eventually decided to find the previous optometrist I went to, who is not affiliated with Kaiser, and has his own private practice in Sunnyvale. Sure enough, just as I remembered, his exam process was much more thorough, and when he evaluated the prescription Kaiser had given me, he noted that it was incorrect and had not accounted for the fact that my vision is different in both eyes...which was why the lenses were making me sick and giving me a headache when I tried to wear them. He also agreed with me that Kaiser was incorrect when they suggested that my eyes just needed to adjust to the prescription, and they were also incorrect when they told me I wasn't wearing them correctly. My optometrist in Sunnyvale scoffed at that suggestion and made a joke saying, how do you wear lenses incorrectly? Did they want you to wear them upside down? Kaiser's determinations were just ludicrous. So in the end, not only did the optometrist who examined me at Kaiser completely get my prescription wrong, but the vision department was not helpful whatsoever in catching the incorrect prescription, and then making erroneous suggestions as to why the prescription was not working for me. Suggesting it was user error was unprofessional and incorrect. Obviously, I do not suggest you use Kaiser's vision department for the reasons I've listed. So if you are looking for an optometrist who specializes in this field, may I suggest you go to Optivision-Optometric in Sunnyvale.

Wait time for an epidural injection which I recently needed is two months despite my pain, after requesting a sooner appointment I was told my case isn't an emergency and my request was denied. Doctors don't refer patients to specialist because it costs more to Kaiser, I had to file a complaint just to see a spine surgeon for consultation, 4 months ago I asked my GP she said you don't need it. Kaiser needs to expand their services to help improve its members needs.

I was welcomed to fill out a slip stating why we were there by Christian. He was very nice and compassionate to why we were there. He said he would have the nurse review our request. We waited a short time and then we were called in to be seen by Dr. Iliana Harrysson. She was absolutely fabulous. I felt like we were in good hands and we were being seen, heard and understood. She recommended we go to a clinic closer to our house next time. But, I would rather drive far to see her and be in good hands, then drive close and have a different Dr. Thank you Express Care for exceeding my expectations!

The program lasts 30 weeks, and I am currently in Week 6. I have lost 23 pounds so far, and my husband has lost 21 pounds. Ideally, I hope to lose about 60-75 pounds, and my husband would like to lose about 50 pounds by the time we're through. The program puts you on meal replacements (consists of bars, shakes, and soups) for the first 16 weeks, and you meet with your cohort and a health educator online, every week for about an hour and 15 minutes. Every other week, you come in for a weight and blood pressure check, as well as to pick up your meal replacements. The doctors will see you as often as needed, based on your health issues, and you will have labs and other tests done as needed. The program is a paid service and is not covered by insurance, but the money we're saving on food right now makes it completely affordable, as they take payments every couple of weeks for the meal replacements and visits. The program is set up for your support and success. I have tried other ways of dieting, but this is a game-changer. Not only do you have rapid results, you are trained on how to keep the weight off and how to eat healthier. I cannot wait to post again when we've finished the program.
