Reception (check-in) and Lobby waiting area
    Satnam B.

This is a small surgery center. Normally they want surgery patients to check in at 6am when it opens. Don't arrive earlier as the lobby will not be open. Check in is painless, pay your co pay and sign a legal waiver. They assign the patient a number and you can track their status on a monitor as they move through In facility, RN Pre Op prep, Out PreOp, PreOP Complete, In OR, PACU I/II, OK for Dispatch, OK Transport Only one family member is allowed back in PreOp. So if you come as a family, you will have to take it in turns. The process is mature and runs smoothly, unless there are complications which can turn in to delays. Normally children and elderly are given priority and operate on first followed by adults. The waiting room has comfortable chairs, TV, a choice of magazines and complementary coffee, tea along with hand sanitizer. They do have separate men's and women's bathrooms just past the TV's on left (past Be Informed information board). The sliding door in to the facility does open often as patients/ families arrive in the morning, so bring a light jacket should you feel cold until the sun comes up! You should expect to wait at least 3-4 hours for patient to move through from check in thru surgery into recovery room. Once you see the surgeon you can go pickup pain medication from pharmacy in Family Health Center next door. You will need to move your car near the roundabout when the patient is discharged to minimize walking. 4 stars

Glad that I found her practice when I was living in San Jose, I moved so now I am farther away. :) She is easy to talk even from the first session, we work on different strategies to problem solve for a healthy and positive outcome. On three separate occasions, I attempted to speak to someone to make the necessary changes: I was placed on hold for 12 minutes, only to be disconnected. I called again, I was on hold for 10 minutes, and again, the call was disconnected. My Third Attempt, I specifically requested not to be placed on hold and asked to speak to a manager. I spoke to the manager, Rosa D. and I explained my experience with being disconnected twice , her only response , "What do you want me to do about it?" We found the manager's response frustrating and unhelpful. Instead of addressing our concerns and offering assistance, the manager's dismissive attitude and lack of empathy left us feeling unsupported. This experience was not only unprofessional but also failed to resolve the issue at hand. Instances of poor customer service should be addressed to ensure that other patients do not face similar issues in the future. Hopefully, Rosa's supervisor would attend to this matter and take necessary steps to improve the service provided.

GAME ON!!! Kaiser…read moreHospital in South San Jose has finally got the COVID shots available. They have your choices. I chose the Moderna 2 shot process. First time I went in August and 2nd visit was last week. They have the tents and seating outside in the parking lot. They have all the nurses and medical assistants and volunteers there to help anybody in need. It made the whole visit and process comfortable and easy. They give you the shot. Then you have to wait 15 minutes in the waiting area to see if you have any side effects. Once you reach your 15 minutes you can leave. They have a Nurse watching and supervising the area. I did not feel any side effects. Does not mean you won't!!!! EVERY BODY is different. My wife and daughter got theirs and I decided to get mine out of the way. A lot of employers are requesting this done by all employees and new hires. Good luck and stay healthy and get your shot. "Onward ever, backward never"

The orthopedist saw me right on time, in spite of the department being extremely busy, and after examining my leg did an ultrasound right there in his office. He showed me on the screen what was going on and clearly answered all of my questions. I then had to have an uncomfortable procedure, but he was careful to first numb up my leg so it wouldn't hurt too much. I really appreciated the amount of time he spent with me and the amount of information he provided. Next I was sent to radiology for a different kind of ultrasound. I got lost on the way and a nice lady stopped to see if I needed help. This same lady turned out to be the technician who did my ultrasound. She was very sweet. I used to complain a lot about Kaiser's care, but lately every time I go there I come away feeling fortunate they are my healthcare provider. Special shoutout to the nurses, unit clerks, techs, security guards, and medical assistants who work so hard.

Dr. Jonathan Fu, MD for pediatrics. Told me I needed to step out because now that my girls are teenagers I can't be in the room. Didn't give me an option or asked my girls, "is it ok if moms in the room" which by the way I already asked the girls, " hey, you want me in the room cause I can stay in the waiting room" They wanted me in there anyways I was stepped out. They called me back in. He went over shots that needed to be done and then he said if he can talk to my oldest by herself. My oldest came out and told me, that he asked her if she had a problem with food because my daughter is skinny. My daughter told him NO. I'm thinking wtf? If he looked at her damn chart he would know my daughter always has been thin. She's been going there since she was born. The way he skinny shamed her! If she was Bulimic there would be signs and you'd see it in her teeth, she'd look frail. Which she does not! They will never see that Dr again and I will not step out of the room. They are minors and if they want me in there I will fucking stay! How TF do I not know you're a pervert because while doing their physical you did not have your medical assistant in the room! Idk what kind of shit this hospital is running. Know that there's family's that have good relationships with their children and can communicate with each other. I wouldn't be in the room if my kids didn't want me there. I was there because they WANTED ME! if I was in there when you asked my child that question, I would of told your ASS to not skinny shame my daughter!!!! You disgusting POS!
