I found Dr. Steve of Kaizen Progressive Health in Scottsdale while researching online for chiropractors that use Pro-Adjuster technology and have an onsite x-ray machine. I have been dealing with neck pain for 2 years which developed into pain in my lower back, and I had had enough of it! I watched Dr. Steve's videos online, I read the reviews from his patients, and I was very interested in the services Kaizen offered as a Team together under one roof. I called Dr. Steve's office and was able to get an appointment the same day. The Kaizen office staff was great! Reading the website, it sounded too good to be true but I drove the 30 minutes because I was desperate. They were better than my wildest dreams. I left my treatment program stronger than I was pre-accident. Now, 2 years later, the victim of another accident (I know!) I'm back! I'm back after 3 years. Not because I'm injured but knowing that there is room for improvement and also to get a full system checkup that includes hormone balance, food sensitivity, muscle balance, range of motion and a few other things that I forget. Plus my daughter came along last week. Being 5.5 yrs old with a history of gymnastics, ballet, swim and now Ninjitsu. She has been explaining that the back of her neck hurts with certain movements especially laying down. She was a little hesitant but felt comfortable with me. She opened up immediately when she saw that there were toys and a unicorn costume pull over. I have now known Dr Steve for 16 years. He's not just my chiropractor but he's also my friend. I am now 33 weeks pregnant and have suffered from severe sciatic nerve pain. I woke up one morning couldn't get dressed and couldn't move. I was able to reach out to the office and he saw me on a day that they weren't even open. I have not been adjusted in a long time, and I forgot how important it was until after he adjusted me last Friday. It's extremely hard to get a good nights rest at 33 weeks pregnant. Our experience at KaiZen was awesome! Their whole staff is extremely courteous and everyone there was quick to come say hi to us when we walked inside... really made us feel comfortable. We brought our 4 week year old in to get checked And aligned by Dr. Hruby after she had been experiencing possible reflux. She's been really stuffy and coughing. About 10 min after we left, our little girl went into a coughing spree and we immediately called back to confirm our belief of her being drained of the fluid that was built up... a good thing of course! A friend referred me to KaiZen a couple months ago. I had been experiencing hip flexor issues do around 6 months. Wasn't sure what to do. I decided to follow their suggested treatment plan and I'm happy to say that I've had incredible results so far, feeling much better and my 2 nd scan shows great improvement. I started going here after my second baby was born. Gaining 50 pounds with each pregnancy really did some damage to my hips. What impressed me right away was the scanning technology. I've been to many chiropractors any none had ever done a digital scan of my back. I've had the occasional x-ray but that is it. Within a few weeks of my visit my husband noticed I'd grown an inch. I'd been so hunched over for so long that proper treatment and posture had me standing taller. I appreciate the friendly staff and the low wait times. My treatment has been very consistent. I've enjoyed all the extra stretching tools and vibrating machines that help loosen by spine getting me ready for my adjustment. I stuck with my treatment and did my part to work out more, and eat better. The combination of the three lead me to a life without pain or discomfort. I've been happy with the treatment and the service. Anytime I had questions about insurance or payments they were very patient with explaining things to me in detail. One of the greatest doctors and overall fantastic medical experiences imaginable. Dr. Steve explains everything in as much detail as you need and has an overall plan to heal your body instead of treatment for the rest of your life. I'm pretty hard on my body with working out, doing CrossFit, working long hours at a desk and lots of business travel. My body gets tight and my back would hurt, but since seeing Dr. Steve everything has gotten better. This past week I came off three business trips with literally planes, trains & automobiles. It was a 2 week tour in L.A., Boston and New York City, so by the time I settled back in Scottsdale I was a mess. I have a 10 mile Spartan obstacle race coming up this weekend, so I was worried I wasn't going to be ready in time. My first time at Kaizen I could barely walk. I needed a cane and the Uber Driver had to help me out of the vehicle. I'm 34 years old. Today I'm able to dance. It's not pretty but it's never been pretty. The fact is I don't need assistance getting around anymore. I continue to come to Kaizen because the people truly care about your wellbeing. The first time I left the office Travis (the owner) chased after my Uber Driver because they went to the wrong pickup spot. This is one of my favorite places to be. Just met Dr. Steve. This guy is awesome. Equal parts bookworm, tech geek and wellness practitioner, he is a much bigger package than 'Chiropractor' implies. He spent over an hour with me to talk whole body, and clearly define his role in helping clients maintain good health through healthy habits. I went to Kaizen after they did a free screening at my office. First off, the staff here is why I keep coming, not just Dr. Steve or Dr. G, the entire staff. Sure after every adjustment I felt a little relief but I don't believe I was getting hard enough adjustments to make a real difference. About 5 or so adjustments later at 55.00 each just wasn't worth it. I went to a different chiro who adjusts harder and got the job done a lot faster. Also the first orientation here was too long. I had the opportunity yesterday to visit Kai-Zen a wellness center located in South Scottsdale. They offer Yoga, Skin Care, Massage Therapy, Acupuncture, and Chiropractic services. I was instantly greeted the moment I walked through the door by a lady named Sharon. She made me feel very welcomed and carried a friendly conversation with me until I went in for my appointment. I had an appointment with April a licensed Massage Therapist. April performed a 60min full body massage. I have to say I was very impressed. April for the beginning asked me what areas that I need to focus on. She also asked me the level of pressure I could handle. April made me feel very comfortable and relaxed through the whole process. She used warm oils that felt so soothing. The room was cozy and quiet wile soft music was playing in the background. When I was done she thanked me for coming in along with almost everyone who worked there. This wellness facility has created a comforting environment for healing.
