I asked what it would be without fluoride and they said $205. I didn't ask when I made appt. Just assumed they'd be similar in price to other dentists i had been too. When I paid, asked for self pay discount which brought it down to $184. We moved from out of state. So I thought maybe it's just more expensive here in Virginia. Called a bunch of offices after my kids appt that I paid $184 for. They all charge only $89-$99 for a cleaning. Some of those even include fluoride. They were very professional! But charging double the price as your competitor is a little wild. Will be taking my business elsewhere.

This was our second time at the clinic, and on both occasions, I noticed the dentist (who I believe is also the owner) Adam Afashi, was sitting casually with his legs up at a computer near the front desk as we checked in. That first impression alone did not inspire much confidence. During the actual dental review, the dentist was noticeably unsociable and disengaged. My daughter, who has special needs, reached out to hold his hand for comfort, and he visibly pulled away in a way that felt cold and unkind. He also appeared frustrated that she wasn't opening her mouth wide enough--without offering any gentle guidance or reassurance. His behavior was not only unprofessional but also deeply lacking in empathy and basic people skills, which are crucial when working with children--especially those with special needs. The only reason we chose this clinic was its convenient location, but I regret not reading the reviews beforehand. I do *not* recommend Adam Afashi at Fredericksburg Pediatric & Cosmetic Dentistry to anyone, especially families with young or special needs children. I want to clarify that the issue here is not even the error that he made but the way that he tried to gaslight us in telling us that he had already lost the tooth when he clearly was bleeding, also as a parent of a special needs child this was devastating to be almost shooed away from a dentist office where I had been going for years.
