The ice cream was good but it's not house made which is something I try and look for. There is a flavor for every palette. The waffle bowls are made in house but the cones are not much to my disappointment. Parking is really tight but I have a small car. There is outside seats and the staff is incredibly friendly. YES! Back in March I brought a group of students in after a day-long field trip to the art museums. The gentleman helping us was so kind and patient while serving 20 middle school students and all of their customized requests. He was personable and even offered to take this posted photo of us which was beyond the job requirements. The ice cream is THE BEST in Glenwood and my favorite is the Mackinac Island fudge! Great little ice cream shop with friendly service (it was also spotlessly clean when we were there). We stopped for a scoop of ice cream. I enjoyed the Cookie Monster (Oreo and cookie dough). They have a lot of flavors available. Cones tasted fresh. They also sell drinks like CBD soda and regular drinks. (Prices were fine, but we are from California so it's typically pricier there). Only complaint was it was very warm inside the shop, especially middle of July. Parking was easy. read more

We stopped by on our way to Aspen from Denver. Reminds me of a Baskin Robbins. The employee said they get their ice cream from some place in Wisconsin, so it's not made in-house. Lots of unique flavors, so be sure to ask for samples. We went with some sort of peppermint ice cream (my choice) and rocky road (fiance's boring choice). We've been coming here for close to 15 years! My mom always took my brother and I to KaleidoScoops on our way up to Aspen. It was our favorite tradition and one of the best parts of the trip. This place is unchanging in a good way! We have so many great memories here. They still have the classic flavors we love with some new additions like dairy free sorbets. Holy yummness, BATMAN! I got the pumpkin pie ice cream and it was so pumpkiny flavored! My daughter got the watermelon sorbet and she thought it was flavorless. is definitely hit this place again. This is a little ice cream shop on the main drag of Glenwood Springs (the south side of the highway). I give it a star for not being a chain, and having 40+ flavors of ice cream. (Otherwise 3) We just had scoops in a cup and they were good! It's kind of like an independent, mountain town Baskin Robbins with punk high school kids working there. There are bathrooms outside around the back, and enough seating. They have a water fountains and the usual extras like Banana Splits, Smoothies etc. They do have a few flavors of sorbets and ices for those that can't have dairy. They also had some coffee ice cream drinks that looked really yummy. We will definitely stop there again when we are in the area. read more

The ice cream was good, the service and the the price was so so. $3.50 for a scoop or $6 for two, they are pretty decent sized scoops, lots of flavours. Some of them looked a bit melted. We had a peak experience with Nick!! Absolutely loved the variety of flavors and his expert advice to try out the Salted Caramel and Dark Chocolate peanut butter, both of which were amazing. There were 3 of us and we must have tried a good dozen flavors between us. I was blown away by the quality of the brownie in the brownie sundae, I could have just eaten that alone and been delighted, but the ice cream, whipped cream, and hot fudge sauce elevated it to a religious experience. We give KaleidoScoops 5 stars because of the quality and selection of ice creams they carry. The ice cream is not made in house but you soon forget that fact after indulging in the flavors. The new owners are friendly and helpful. We enjoyed talking with this while gorging on chocolate mint or others and they let you taste sample for many of the different ice creams if you want. The fact that the store was only a 2 minute walk from our place, the Glenwood Springs Bed and Breakfast (see that review as well) made it even more special.
