From someone who lived in Korea and love Korean food, This place is legit!!! Omg the food is so good, the quality and quantity exceeds expectations. This is now our favorite spot!!

This place was amazing! Called ahead to reserve a table for 10 and we got our own private room. Service was fast and friendly. The food was all phenomenal! I got the Combo B if like to try a variety of pork, choose that serves 3-4 people and includes: - Pork Jowl - Pork Shoulder - Pork Belly - Thinly Sliced Pork Belly - Marinated Pork Belly

Authentic Korean Fried Chicken from one of the biggest Chicken chains in Korea. Authentic. Delicious. Worth the trip. Don't be afraid to try something new. While there, don't leave without getting a piece of the homade cheesecake. Delicious.

Beef Bulgogi

The services and ambiance was fantastic. The food was even better than I was expecting. My husband and I had the Beef Bulgogi. It was delicious. We had spring rolls and edamame as appetizers, that was tasty as well.

Tracking down my new fav Korean soup Yakgaejong, yelped this place for a Saturday late lunch. Located in a strip with about 5 businesses (4 Asian as well) it was easy to find and had ample parking. Fairly busy, they have KBBQ tables in the center of the small restaurant, seating 4 and along side they have "semi private seating" (think booths, separated by a divider, and a curtain to block view) I was immediately seated in a private area. Lots of busy-ness I waved to grab the attention of the wait staff (I knew what I was there for and didn't need an inordinate amount of time to look at the menu) It's both a KBBQ (cook your own) and Hot Pot Option. But that's not what I wanted, so was happy they also offered a variety of menu items, to include my fav soup 5sides came out first, kimchi, a "kimchi-like flavored" noodle, some sort of apple mayo salad (I was not if fan, tasted borderline going bad), fish cake (she said it's pillow: cut into triangular pieces) and another mung (bean sprout) salad that was unique and tasty By the time I ate the 3.5 (only half the fish...became too fishy hahah), I knew I would be taking most of my soup home Soup came out in a timely fashion and was PIPING HOT!! I asked for extra Spicey and they did not disappoint! Flavorful and hot and spicey and all the vegetables I could want, along with a bowl of white sticky rice I was only able to eat about 1/4 of it (with spoonfuls of rice, then had to pack it up in a doggy-container! Price was about $17 (I ordered an extra side of sticky rice) so def worth it!

My family was in town for a baseball game for my son, and the boys wanted some Dwaejimakchang (Pork Entrails) This place was great. They were super busy, and we came in really late. We did have to ring the bell several times, but it was still great. The banchan here was phenomenal. Probably some of the best I've had at a restaurant in the US. Will definitely come back again.

Some of the best Korean around. LA Galbi never fails. Take out or dine in, it's all legit.

And my husband had the mackerel and pork tofu soup. And I wanted to eat all of his too. The best part was how nice and friendly our server was. Everyone loved it and we are definitely going back.

I remember getting 6-8 dishes before, and this time we only got 4. The kimchi was quite good, but the rest was pretty boring. We were offered refills, so I'm not saying they're stingy. The menu seems very limited. Maybe this was a lunch thing? But I saw the same menu posted on the walls in the booths. No beef bulgogi? No fried chicken? No tteokbokki?! We both got the dol sot bibimbap, which was maybe the best iteration of that dish that we have had outside of Korea, so I think that is an improvement, but we felt like there wasn't much on the menu for us other than that dish. When we want to have that again, we will gladly come back. I just wish there was more variety. The service was extremely friendly. I have no complaints there, and I'm thankful for the welcoming atmosphere. I'd recommend you try this restaurant (maybe the new menu will resonate with you), it's just not the same as it used to be, and I would not trust old pictures of the menu.

SHILLA goes down as the first Korean restaurant I have visited in Alabama. I gotta say, SHILLA was…read morenot my restaurant of choice however my grandfather insisted this spot was great. I came in with an open mind but left unimpressed. From the outside, SHILLA could use some work. It looks kind of old and dingy. The inside is a bit of an improvement, but it was poorly lit. There was not a very welcoming feel when we entered. Service wise, they seemed short staffed for a weekend. Everyone was cordial however the service was kind of lacking. No one checked on us after the food arrived. We wanted to order some more food and we didn't see anyone from our seats so we pushed the button which yielded no response until the 4th try. I understand there was a party in the other room, but other than that group--there was no one else in the restaurant except us... Food: Off the bat, I was disappointed because I tried to order sushi and was told it was not offered on the weekends--this is not stated anywhere on the menu. Here are some of the items we ordered: *Soontofu/Tofu Soup ($8.95) *Japchae ($12.95) *Haemulpajun/Seafood pancake ($12.95) *Bulgogi ($14.95) *LA Galbi ($18.95) Food-wise, the wait was super long and the food was MEH. The tofu soup didn't arrive sizzling hot like I'm used to and lacked in taste. The LA Galbi was relatively the best out of everything we ordered, although it had quite a bit of fat the first time around. So we ended up ordering two more orders of galbi. Second time around was much better (less fat and much hotter in temperature when it arrived). Overall, SHILLA is not bad if you're nearby. But for me, I'd check out what other Korean restaurants in Montgomery has to offer before coming back.

I have been going to SHILLA over the past few years and it is by far one of the best, if not the…read morebest Korean restaurants I've been to. Very clean facility and the food is just plain great.
