We were so excited to try Volcano Hot Pot and Korean BBQ! The customer service was fantastic and the atmosphere with the interactive walls was so fun. We visited on a weekend when pricing is $28.95 for hot pot and an extra $5 for bbq. The selection was very nice and we enjoyed our hot pot. We probably could have skipped the bbq because the hot pot was enough to eat, but we wanted the full experience. The spicy beef bulgogi was so good. Everything was wonderful! The only thing that made this a four star review is the fact that they have signs about not wasting food and being charged if you do so. As a customer it makes you nervous to wonder if you got too much or don't eat enough. It's a bit of a turn off. I understand some people need the reminder, but it's not a great look posted all over a restaurant.

Been here twice in one month! Pictures didn't do it justice, so glad I tried it. $38 for ayce bbq and hotpot is a steal! Everything was great, only downside is the smell of burnt oil from the paper really sticks to your clothes. There's a dessert bar and fruit too! Service was good

The only thing better than their Spicy Bulgogi is their customer service Thanks Oman

This is just some mushrooms and squid that I grilled and put in my spicy Korean seafood pot.

Great food. Buffet style, but you cook at the table. Respectful and polite service. We had the lunch and there was quite a variety from shrimp, fish, lamb, pork belly, bulging, multiple mushrooms, broccoli, spring rolls, etc. Easily 40+ options at lunch. They have a two hour limit and 18 percent gratuity on 6+. They have warnings everywhere that uneaten food may be charged at 13.99 a lb. The lunch was reasonable with the buffet and pot only 30 dollars an adult

The food was awesome. Our server was very friendly and explained everything great. Superb ambiance. Highly recommend.

And my husband had the mackerel and pork tofu soup. And I wanted to eat all of his too. The best part was how nice and friendly our server was. Everyone loved it and we are definitely going back.

The service here was a little slow, but it looked like one man was doing everything with one woman helping with bringing out food and cleaning plates. The man was very attentive and brought everything we needed and got every order perfect, there were just really long wait times between appearances. We ordered sweet and spicy rice cakes as an appetizer, dumpling soup (for the kids), kimchi soup for me, and soybean paste soup for my husband. The banchan came out first. I'm used to all cold dishes, but the fish cakes and one other one came out warm. They were all good, but the cucumbers were a hit for me and my husband, the broccoli/apple/carrot salad was my girls' favorite. We had never tried the rice cakes before, but super glad we did because I'm pretty sure they were our actual favorite item of the evening. The soups all came out still bubbling. The kimchi soup was exactly what I wanted, and exactly what you'd expect for a steaming hot juicy bowl of kimchi soup. So good! I didn't care for my husband's soy bean paste soup, but he ate it over steamed rice and ate the rice cakes on the side and loved it. Both girls liked the dumplings and rice cakes in the dumpling soup, but they liked the broth the most. They didn't care for the egg noodles very much though. The kids did get a kick out of the curtains on the booth. It was a little more expensive than I expected, but we ordered three dishes that I'm pretty sure could have been shared by 2 people each, and we all have leftover for tomorrow now.

It's been probably 4 or 5 months since we had seen her and she remembered we did just the BBQ and what we drank. We both appreciated her remembering us. We always tend to order the same thing but today I felt alil wild and crazy and got regular potatoes instead of sweet potatoes on our second round. She actually came up and made sure they brought out of right potatoes since it wasn't what we normally got. I was actually stunned. This young lady is the reason we have been there as much as we have. Do not get me wrong the food is so good. Especially those short ribs. You're missing out if you've never had them. But the service is so far above and beyond.

I've been in Tuscaloosa for four years now and I've been dreaming about a place like this. I came…read morein for lunch yesterday and it surpassed even my highest hopes regarding a Korean BBQ spot here in town. I should say I didn't get the Hot Pot, only the BBQ, so my review only covers that. In terms of price, the lunch all-you-can-eat is $20.99 which is steep for a lunch, but this is a lunch for when you're so hungry you're not sure you can remember a time when you weren't hungry. And, honestly, if you get an entree at a local quick-food sit down restaurant with a drink and a side dish or appetizer, it will come out to be this much as well, and this is much, much better. Some highlights: The waitstaff was highly attentive and kind during my stay. The server who was helping checked on me often and showed me how their system works. You have two hours to eat and you can order anything you want via the server or their electronic system. When I did order more meats they arrived within a couple of minutes, though they request you give them at least 10 minutes when it's busier. In terms of the meats, I highly recommend the spicy chicken, spicy pork, and garlic shrimp. The beef bulgogi was also good. There are some items you can't get unless you're paying for the dinner version. I wasn't super dedicated to any of these items but if you want short ribs, a Korean BBQ staple, they are only available with the dinner version. I will probably come for dinner at some point to see how their shortribs are. One of the greatest assets of this place is an all-you-can-eat condiments and side dishes bar. You really can fill your plate up with kimchi, daikon raddish, cucumber kimchi, and bean sprouts. It's like an infinte ban chan and it's everything I've been dreaming about. Also, there's a hefty number of sauces available there, as well as fried shrimp and wings, should you desire. For the sauces, I recommend the sweet and spicy, the peanut sauce, and the house KPOT sauce. All really different and really great for dipping your freshly grilled items into. My server replaced my grill when it started to get sticky and, again, everyone was very attentive to keeping my experience excellent. My only small critique was that the veggies (also all-you-can-eat) were a little underwhelming in terms of the cuts/quality. Definitely not a deal-breaker by any means, but if you're coming in hoping veggies might be the lion's share of your meal, they lagged behind the meats. Though they did have enoki mushrooms, which were great. Finally, they bring a beautifully sticky bowl of rice to eat your meal on and they're willing to replenish that whenever you'd like. Awesome! I honestly can't recommend this place enough. It's a fun experience to sit with friends, talk, drink, and do a little grilling. Everything shares well (each diner pays the all-you-can-eat price, just to note), and the ban chan and meat marinades were genuinely good. Big city quality, I would wager, given the number of Korean BBQ places I've frequented across the country. This is a place I would drive to Atlanta to eat at, if that equivocation makes any sense as a recommendation. And, if you're in the greater Tuscaloosa area, it's so much closer than that. Hope to see people there, as I 100% will be back.

The staff were all so so nice and constantly checked on us. And answered all of our questions. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with our friends and the food tasted amazing. But I think it's great that they have a place like this here. So, the menu is limited, but it is great for a novice hot pot customer because they won't be overwhelmed. There is only one type of noodles you can get (glass noodles), and only a few selections of red meat and vegetables. But hey, I won't complain, because you can't get it elsewhere. The meat I received were super fatty. There were some when the fat was around 80% of the meat itself. Veggies were good! They have a bar of sauces and other foods you can get and add to your hot pot. Broth was fine, it wasn't anything particular to rave about. The service was great - people were so friendly and nice. They tended to us pretty well. The ambience was really cool! They have screens around the restaurant that play K-pop music videos, which was a super cool touch. 5/5 for the ambience.
