Hot pot and Korean BBQ? Can't get better than that! Volcano is the best spot in town for an AYCE experience with so many different meats, vegetables, and appetizers. I tried the Korean seafood broth for the hot pot, and it was so flavorful with just the right amount of spice. They have a state-of-the- art table that keeps the pot boiling. The Korean BBQ did not disappoint either. There were so many different cuts of marinated meats. Overall, I had a great time at Volcano. The food was great, and the servers were very friendly. I've been here several times and it is above average for this unique experience, yet still far from perfect. It's a great healthy alternative with full flavor and variety. Came here with some coworkers. There's spread out parking all around the restaurant...plenty. This was a bit different of a dining experience for me. Your basically at a "pick your own" buffet. It was interesting to select from all the different meats and vegetables for my meal. Then you cook them yourself on the grill at your table. There's way to many options to choose from besides meat items....like shrimp, crawdads, scallops, etc. I'm sure there are some items that grill better than others. My choices seemed to vary on how well they tasted. But none were bad. There's also white and fried rice. There's also a dessert bar. In short, there are lots of options to choose from...you should be able to satisfy everyone in your party...even vegetarians and vegans! I had a couple lite beers....they were actually not too expensive for a restaurant ($3 each). But the buffet price was $34.95 for dinner. Out the door with a tip...over $50! For me, that's a little too pricey just for dinner. I was asked to come here second time a few months later with coworkers. I declined strictly because of the price. You can definitely eat your money's worth. But that's just not how I eat any more. You'll probably enjoy your meal here if you're in the mood for Korean food. read more

We were so excited to try Volcano Hot Pot and Korean BBQ! The customer service was fantastic and the atmosphere with the interactive walls was so fun. We visited on a weekend when pricing is $28.95 for hot pot and an extra $5 for bbq. The selection was very nice and we enjoyed our hot pot. We probably could have skipped the bbq because the hot pot was enough to eat, but we wanted the full experience. The spicy beef bulgogi was so good. Everything was wonderful! The only thing that made this a four star review is the fact that they have signs about not wasting food and being charged if you do so. As a customer it makes you nervous to wonder if you got too much or don't eat enough. It's a bit of a turn off. I understand some people need the reminder, but it's not a great look posted all over a restaurant. read more

The servers here are my favorite. I love my family at Volcano. Shoutout to the owner for picking great people. Do is my dawg. My boyfriend and I are regular guests as we have probably been there over 20 times. My personal grill favorites are the prime rib,which has a sweet savory taste and always good and thick. as well as the spicy pork bulgogi. Their steak is always good and for my hot pot omg it literally is so good once you figure out what combination works best for your taste buds. The music is always different everytime we go which I appreciate because it's always a silly cover of a song which always makes a good convo starter. The bathrooms and the entire restaurant are always so clean. We always see people cleaning no matter what time of day we eat. Service was top notch and waiter took the time to talk with me since it was my first experience with a hot pot and he kept my hot pot full of broth. I had Korean BBQs in Manhattan and New Jersey and took my friend at Volcano Hot Pot & Korean BBQ in Montgomery, AL based on my great experience with other Korean BBQ places. But it was a nightmare at Volcano. We were charged around $107 for two of us. They automatically added a tip on the check without asking us. We found out that Chinese and Indonesian people run this Korean BBQ place, It was a waste of our money and time. read more

The food was amazing. Our server was very attentive and showed us the ropes. You are paying for the experience as well as quality ingredients. It is well worth the price. Their attention to cleanliness is great. Despite it being crowded, it wasn't noisy and we could easily converse in our regular voices. They allow you two hours to eat and socialize over your meal. There is a charge for waste and honestly, if more buffets charged this, meal prices might be smaller. I tend to only get what I can eat, so I was fine with it. First visit to this great restaurant in Montgomery. We had the weekday lunch AYCE hot pot and Korean bbq. Weekday lunch is 19.95 hotpot and 5.00 extra for Korean bbq. Weekends and evenings is 28.95 and 5.00 extra for the bbq. Large fresh selection of items for both. My wife especially enjoyed the blue crab that was included with the hotpot. Our waiter was excellent. He explained all of our options and made sure that we had everything we needed or wanted. The restaurant was super clean and everything was spotless. One feature that we really enjoyed were the inductive hotpot areas on the table. There were six on our table and we could control them very easily. There are projectors mounted on the ceiling that had underwater scenes projected on the back wall. All in all, this is a very nice restaurant that my wife and friends will visit often. read more

I went during lunch time on Labor Day and the food was good. It is mostly self-serve aside from them being drinks, utensils, and the hot pot itself. Everything was going well until the check came. Their normal lunch price is $20.99/person, but apparently since it was Labor Day they only charged the Dinner price of $29.99/person which would have been fine if anyone stated this from the start. There was only a tiny sign that has that they're open for Labor Day and in small letters "Dinner Menu only". Which wasn't a clear indication that they were charging the dinner price. Even this would have been ok if they didn't also include a mandatory 15% tip for 2 people which was an additional $10 despite everything being self-serve. I am not even sure if it's legal to charge a mandatory tip for 2 customers especially when I am basically tipping them for only bringing drinks. This increased the price for a lunch from $42 to $72+tax. I do not recommend going to this restaurant for lunch on a holiday because the price increases almost double which is not worth it. read more
