Service and food were awesome! On a cold day, it was a perfect spot to warm up. Nice and quiet too! Very relaxing.

This was a surprisingly great meal. The service was in unbelievable. I had a small salad brought to me within 1 minute of sitting down. It was good. I had edamame and it was great. I had the Philly roll. Very fresh. I ordered Spicy Ramen with pork. I ordered 2x and it was perfectly spicy. The food is 7.8/10 Service 10/10. Ambiance was good 8/10. Nice and clean place.

The daicon radish was a delicious ingredient . ..it made the dish much better.

We were passing through Kalispell and wanted something out of the ordinary, so we stopped and had the best ramen. We both ordered this spicy beef ramen and where we amazed and satisfied. It was perfectly seasoned, not too salty, and the chili was not too hot. The most delicious ramen! We will definitely be back again.

For ramen in Montana, especially in a smaller city like Kalispell and not a bigger city like Missoula, I was pretty delightfully surprised! I definitely did not come here with superbly high expectations but the food was pretty solid. I came in with a large party of 6 and the servers were quick to take our orders and it did not take very long for the food to come out either. We did come in on a weekday afternoon so perhaps it was more quiet. There was ample seating as well. I got the pork chasu don and I liked that the rice was a little on the more moist/wet side. The pork was chopped into cubes and there was a perfect mix of fatty and lean meat. The sauce on it was also a very yummy savory sweet soy sauce concoction. There were some pickled radish? and also some bok choy. I wished there were more veggies but I can't complain too much as it was still very yummy. I tasted my friend's ramen and the broth was subtle but still very savory and hearty. Noodles were nice and chewy. It reminded me of elevated ramen packets I have eaten as a child (in a good way). Honestly super solid spot!

Did not have high expectations coming to a Ramen restaurant in Montana but was pleasantly surprised. Note that most of the negative reviews for this restaurant are related to the slow service. I did not have a negative experience with the service so am basing this purely on the ramen itself which was pretty decent. Would I come here if I was in a larger city that had multiple options? Probably not. Would I come back if I was in the area for a week and wanted ramen twice? Yes. The ramen broth is creamy and tasty. Not as hearty as some of those places where it feels like the broth has been boiling for 24 hours, but savory enough that your taste buds will appreciate it. The toppings aren't bad and the chashu is balanced in flavor (albeit a bit overcooked and just a bit too tough). There are ample noodles so you don't really need kaidama / extra noodles and I'd recommend holding off on ordering upfront to see if you still need more after finishing your bowl. I ordered a side of seaweed salad and half of it was frozen but that didn't surprise me. Overall a fine meal, would come back if I was in the Flathead area. Ample parking in front of the restaurant.

Is is the BEST ramen in the valley. The Bozeman roll is also amazing. Very clean and we love the staff so much!

    Tantanmen

Tried Tantanmen and it was so bad that I couldn't even finish my bowl. The sushi is good. Bang bang shrimp comes with really less bang bang sauce but if you ask they do provide some extra.

I'm Asian and I've eaten A LOT of ramen in Japan, Hawaii, and California...and say what? Ramen in Kalispell Montana? Normally I don't eat Asian food in Small Town USA, but it was 10 degrees outside, which is cold, but REALLY cold for a SoCal guy like me...so hot Ramen sounded good! And...it was pretty darn good! $15 Tonkatsu Ramen...pork broth ramen is my favorite! This broth didn't have the thick, creamy richness of the best tonkatsu ramens I've had, but this was satisfying enough. The marinated egg and pork slices were tasty and generously portioned. The noodles were a nice al dente texture. $5 Seaweed Salad...just as good as any seaweed salad, but but the portion was huge! About 3-4 times larger than what I normally expect in California. Not the best ramen, and maybe a bit pricy, but still satisfying nonetheless during a chilly Winter day. Friendly service all around.

They gave us menus and I assumed they didn't have a kids menu because I wasn't given one, I had asked the server about it and she went and retrieved one for us. The menu is confusing, as we learned while ordering there is a difference between hibachi and sushi. If you sit on the sushi side you CANNOT order from a certain part of the menu and vice versa. There should be separate menus for this. Throughout the service the server did a good job checking on us but at the end she had dirty tables and we were neglected. The guests sitting around us were given boxes, checks, and cashed out before we ever were. We sat there for quite a while before the server offered us dessert, which by that time we were way more than ready to just leave. I understand busy, but this server prebussed our table until we only had drinks while the guests around us tables were filthy, but those people were cashed out and they left. Then we saw her snipping at a busboy to clear her tables for her. For food, 2 of us got sushi rolls, 1 of us got a steak and vegetable, and the kids chicken meal. The sushi was yummy, the steak was horrible- just horrible, and the kids was a very good portion; my son only ate the rice so the rest of us ate his food. He wasn't a fan of the sauce on the chicken. Service goes a long way in a restaurant and it can make a bad meal seem ok as long as you're taken care of. We were disappointed.

This time, the whole experience was a bit of a 'one off'. The Good - Actually...nothing to report here. The Meh - Not sure if the sushi goes here, or in the 'Bad' section. Twenty years ago and the first few times after that, the sushi was crisp, unusually tasty with a bit of a 'surprise'. We loved it. 5 years ago, it was 'ok'. This time, just really marginal. The rice was dry and so were the ingredients. Disappointing. The Bad - The staff were all going on and on and on about their music and their gigs and music theory...blah blah blah, while we sat and waited for our food. We realized at some point that they were cranking out large to-go orders while we waited. Boo. No good. Take care of those who made the time and effort to come to your business and eat. I don't often award one star, but Wasabi gets one for this experience. Post-dining discussion came down to whether we'd ever come back. We decided that yes, we'd probably return for our pic at the bar and a quick sake, but we'd eat in one of the other many restaurants in Whitefish.

The rolls were half the size of what they should have been- think supermarket sushi roll size- tiny- an obscenely priced. Also we each (6 of us) clearly ordered separate rolls (not like oh we will all share!) but they plated all 6 on the same plate- so then we had to take each roll off and put it on our own plate- and there was no toppings, no drizzle, no extra flavors or presentation or anything- like I've had at most nice sushi places. Last week in Atlanta I went to a dive sushi place whose rolls were half the price, twice as big, plated gorgeously, and delicious. These were tiny, ugly, double priced, and not all that tasty. We all left hungry, and went home to eat, after paying $200.00. Literally the only good things I have to say about this place was the friendliness of the wait staff; and the drink was delicious. This was an absolute waste of my money, my birthday dinner, and am never returning.
