Our service took 1.5 hours to receive our appetizers. Too slow. Food was cold. They weren't even busy.

We started off with two orders of fresh rolls. I absolutely loved the peanut sauce that came with the rolls, but found the rolls themselves a bit thick with the wrapping. By the time we finished the rolls (there were only three of us), we were pretty much a quarter full! We ordered three mains to share, family style. We got the mango fried rice (my friend's favourite), an emerald curry, and a seafood pad thai. I thoroughly enjoyed the fried rice; although I found it a tad greasy, the mango bits were an interesting addition that really accentuated the dish. The seafood pad thai was also delicious and came with a generous portion of massive prawns and lots of squid! Again, a little oily and the noodles were a tad limp. The emerald curry was okay - I found the bamboo flavour to be a bit overpowering and overwhelming, and there was the unmistakable strong flavour of coconut milk (a little too much). Overall, an okay meal made enjoyable by friends. The server was also very friendly as well!

The place was awesome. I'm judging from small town feel where everyone knows everyone. They didn't know me of course but they made you feel welcomed and wanted. My initial reaction was oh it looks small But once you get inside it really opens up I chose the fajita chicken wrap with fries and gravy. Amazing food. I didn't hear a single complaint from the table which is very rare One server so if it's busy. Be patient. It's a small family run business and it says they are hiring on the board at the entrance!! I took my pictures of my food like I normally do then tried to put them on yelp. The restaurant wasn't listed. I've added it and requested it be reviewable from everyone. Hopefully if you're reading this you'll give them a chance!! It's amazing. Trust me. Oh and to top it all off. Right as we're leaving. The friend we were with sees a guy named Steve. He owns the joint with his wife I'm assuming. He goes inside and grabs some balloons. Then blows one up and low and behold makes my daughter a freaking poodle out of it!!! She was amazed and asked if we can go back and get a kitty!!!

You have to go to sample the excellent home cooked meals. Prices are very reasonable. They also do an excellent job of catering. Never had a bad review, from anyone that I have recommended to go.

The whole place has a beautiful vintage feel, like everything has a story to tell, yet it's clean and very well maintained. Asparagus & Artichoke Garden Salad: So good. I still couldn't quite figure out what the noodle-shaped ingredient was - maybe the asparagus or artichoke - but it was delicious. The dressing really made the dish stand out. Slow-Roasted Prime Rib: Probably the most tender prime rib I've had this year. Perfectly cooked and nicely seasoned. Stuffed Savoy Cabbage: I don't usually order vegetable dishes, but this one was surprisingly tasty. The sautéed mushrooms were especially flavourful. Dubai Cheesecake with Chocolate Ganache: Sooo good! The pistachio flavour in the cheesecake was rich, and the chocolate ganache on top elevated the whole flavour profile. It was made in-house, which made it even more impressive. The drinks were great too. The beer we ordered was very citrusy, and my white wine mocktail was tasty too. The male staff member who hosted us was very patient and attentive, which made an already great dining experience even better. The ample…read morelighting and tasteful paintings (including one of oysters in black and white) provided an appropriate backdrop to a delicious meal. The menus were bound in leather! I'd never seen that before. The Caesar salad appetizer was delicately doused in a dressing and covered with a delicate Parmesan cheese. The dried ham belly bits provided ample flavor to the dish, though they ran on the slightly salty side. The special club sandwich was top notch with nice pieces of chicken, not dry, ensconced in fresh bread. The ricotta gnudi was essentially a ricotta mixed with pasta dough to create a gnocchi. The texture was really neat and they were nicely browned. The carrot sauce provided excellent flavoring to the dish, and the carrots were nicely cooked. The sesame tuile was really cool, though I wasn't sure how it related to the rest of the dish. The arctic char, placed in a broth, was also excellent, though not without (imo) defects. The char was cooked beautifully, crispy skin on one side and good fish texture underneath. The potatoes tasted nice with the broth, perhaps actually too plentiful. The big issue I had was the bok choy, which was charred in most leafly places. I know that that's how restaurants do the veggies these days, but charred veggies doesn't taste good, and they're not good for you. Also, it meant that the veggies were charred on the exterior, but marginally cooked (i.e. soft) in the interior. It also caused the broth to contain something of a burnt flavor. I might wish that the menu contained more than 6 mains. A few more items would have been nice to choose from, but I do understand also the desire to focus on a limited number of dishes. A must-check out place!
