THIS IS LONG BUT IT'S TIME THE PUBLIC KNOWS WHAT IS GOING ON IN THIS OFFICE. PATIENT AND DOCTOR…read moreCONFIDENTIALITY DOESN'T EXIST AND HIPPA LAWS ARE BEING BROKEN. ANGELA NEEDS TO BE FIRED. SHE IS UNPROFESSIONAL, ARGUMENTATIVE, RUDE AND SHE TALKS DOWN TO PEOPLE. SHE IS INVOLVED IN MAKING MEDICAL DECISIONS ON PATIENTS, INCLUDING TELLING THE DOCTOR WHAT TREATEMENT AND MEDICATIONS TO GIVE, DESPITE NOT BEING A MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL (NO MEDICAL DEGREE OR TRAINING AT ALL). ALSO, DR. SILES DOES NOT NEED TO BE INVOLVED AT GLEN OAKS HOSPITAL, SINCE HE CAN NOT MAKE DECISIONS WITHOUT ANGELA, AND GETTING HER APPROVAL ON MEDICATIONS AND TREATMENTS. If you call in for a medication refill or to talk to your provider, Angela will first take it upon herself to decide if you need either. If she doesn't think you need to talk to your provider, she will not give them the message and if she thinks, after she looks at your private information, that you don't need the medication, she will not give you the refill or have the provider send it in. What is even worse is that the providers, including Dr. Siles himself, know she is doing this and that they have lost patients because of her rudeness and attitude, but they don't stop her and don't seem to care. I had been seeing Jomy for over 5 years, but for some reason, she decided to lie to me and tell me Dr. Siles would be taking over my care despite me not being comfortable with him. However, she forgot to tell him about her lie, because when I met with him, he had no idea why I was seeing him. Jomy tried to say my medications were too much for her to oversee (though they have been the same for 5 years), but Dr. Siles told her he had patients on the same ones and she could handle them just fine. Jomy then began to argue and come up with any reason, including bringing up a fall that happened last year (which was due to a back injury and blood clots and never an issue with her) to try and dump me off on someone else. Dr. Siles' resolution was to bring Angela in WITHOUT MY CONSENT to mediate and told me Angela had the final say, if she doesn't like someone, she can discharge them from the practice. Once Angela was in the room, my sister and I continued to advocate for me when Angela raised her voice at us, said we were being disrespectful, and that we wouldn't argue with our other doctors like that. She is correct. We wouldn't, but only because our other doctors have enough integrity to tell us the truth, not change things behind our back, and talk to us like adults. In the end, Dr. Siles outright asked Angela what treatment / medication she thought I needed. Keep in mind, she has no medical training and he is not only a doctor, but the Director of Outpatient Services at Glen Oaks Psychiatric Hospital. There is absolutely no reason for him to ask her for a medical opinion. When my sister and I left that day, Angela tried to question why my primary doctors weren't prescribing certain medications and told me I would be starting therapy, which is not her decision to make. We also asked for a copy of the paperwork she made me complete (not sure why as it was the same new patient form I filled out 5 years ago) and were told we were just being difficult. Angela also told my sister she was the reason the meeting got so heated no it was because of Angela... A few days later I received a letter from the office saying I had been discharged as a patient due to being too medically complex. It was dated the day after our meeting and signed by Dr. Siles and Jomy, so either they were lying to me in the meeting or they just sign anything Angela gives them without reading it. The letter also says if you have problems, you can go to Glen Oaks Hospital. Why would someone go there when their director which is Dr. Siles just sent you a letter saying he can't handle your care? NOT OK!!
