Everything......... the food was incredibly salty. Also the items were dripping water from the steam. I think the problem is using uber to deliver isn't wise. They have several orders that they are driving around at the same time. But the thing that is totally ridiculous...... on my order I requested " house mustard ", you know the kind they throw a few cups in with all the other condiments. Well, this place doesn't give away mustard. They actually charge 35 cents if you want it. I love hot mustard and would have gladly given these cheap skates a dollar if they asked. But they didn't ask and I never got my mustard. Imagine, you pay 45.00 and they won't throw in the mustard. I'm done with this place. read more

This is one of the only places that has been in that plaza on new friendship as long as the jeweler and Sherwin Williams. The scallion pancakes were delicious and confirmed as vegan!!! On a recent visit, I also enjoyed the steamed vegetables and brown rice. My family enjoyed all of the staples like sweet and sour chicken, dumplings, chicken lo mein and fried rice. It was ready extremely quickly and I'm so proud to say my family has been going here for years and we will continue to do so. Thank you for being our favorite Howell Chinese restaurant! read more

Orders of fried chicken wings are always cooked nicely, coming out crispy with the same taste each time. The orange chicken and sauce is a great combination of spicy and sweet, and finally their beef and fried rice was a nice final addition to a filling and tasty meal. Simply the best Chinese takeout I have ever had and always consistent!!! I lived all over NJ, Philly, Los Angeles, and gulf coast of Florida. Kam PO Garden is absolutely the best I ever had. Their Singapore Mei Fun is absolutely delicious along with, roasted pork and broccoli, chicken and veggies in garlic sauce, eggplant in garlic sauce, chicken teriyaki on a stick, everything I had is the best Chinese takeout ever!!! Nothing tasted greasy or dirty or oily like some places I've had. The food from this place is really pretty good, I ordered a bunch of appitizers for new years eve, takes a long time to get the food delivered. We had to call back for duck sauce that they never sent, poor delivery kid had to come back, well he got two tips anyway. Order house mustard rather than getting the package stuff, we do all the time. Besides having to wait a long time for the food I will order agin because I think it's one of the better chinese take out places around. The delivery person was very,very nice. In my never-ending search of decent take out, I began to ask around and Kam PO Garden was suggested to me. I called on a weeknight and was surprised to hear it would be a 45-50 minute wait for pickup. This gave me a good impression that the place is busy and I should patiently wait even though I was very hungry! I received a text within the promised timeframe that my order was ready. When I arrived, I noticed it was a typical takeout place (not many seats). It appeared clean and the kitchen was very busy. I was concerned there would be something missing from the order but it was all there. I ordered hot and sour soup and a sesame chicken combo meal and finally was not disappointed with the meal!! The egg roll was not greasy at all (I almost thought it was air fried or baked) and the chicken was perfectly sauced although it was a bit over breaded and a little tough for my liking. The fried rice tasted good but I added some soy sauce to flavor it a bit more. Overall, this was a great choice for what I wanted. read more

So we ordered take out delivery at 4:45 tonight and the woman answering the call said about an hour. At 6:30 when our food wasn't here yet, we called to check. The gentleman that answered the phone gruffly said our food hadn't even been made yet. At this point the kids were starving so we opted to go get the food. Upon getting the food home, we ended up with a few issues. First of all, I ordered spicy noodle soup. Every other soup had a listing for either chicken, vegetable or pork on the menu, so when I ordered spicy noodle, I was expecting noodle soup. Not what I got at all. The soup had pork, chicken, and seafood in it. For some that might be a great surprise, however, I cannot eat pork, so there went my dinner. When I called and explained my situation, I got no help. They wouldn't refund my money nor bring me anything else and the woman they put on the phone admonished me like a child saying I should have known. In my opinion, this is not the way to do business. Every other soup listed the protein included and I would have been satisfied with them refunding the 6ish dollars for the soup. On a side note, the little ones didn't like the chicken fried rice and said the vegetable dumplings tasted bland. They liked the egg drop soup though. read more

I don't understand how people think this place is good. Have tried it 3 times but never again. The delivery took over 2 hours and the food was cold. The 2nd time the order wasn't right I live about 3 mins away so the next time I tried to pick it up instead. Well the chicken and broccoli was just inedible. I know it wasn't real chicken. Ordered two dinner combos which were $10.75 each. My order came to $27.03. I thought about the total when I entered my car. Went back inside and he informed me because I ordered soup it was $1 extra. I used by credit card and there was a $.91 fee. (No sign showing this fee). My total order came to $27.03. In reviewing my itemized receipt each dinner combo came to $12.25 plus tax and card fee. I placed the order in person, waited in car for the meal. Drove home and the meal was warm, not even hot. Wonton soup had no chicken strips that you get from other places in the broth. Ordered the beef/broccoli dinner and it had plenty of broccoli and beef ratio was not much. Gravy was gel like because it must have been prepared earlier and that's why it was not hot (7 min. ride home and wasn't cold outside either). True upcharge for soup was $1.50 and the soup was warm. Going back to my other local place where you can substitute the egg roll for soup and not have an upcharge. Not worth the price with what I was charged and what I received and not returning back. This was the second time this occurred in reviewing my past receipts. Not worth the price. read more

I got generals chicken! The chicken is like fried popcorn pieces. Sauce has good flavor and I'm used to it with broccoli, not different veggies but they are fresh! Only wish it was bigger pieces of chicken and not so dry on the inside. But I see option for white chicken on the menu.
