My father died and my mother had to file a matter with the probate court a while after his death. A…read moreweek or so after the court filing was made, we received a targeted advertisement from Ms. Walker promoting her services. Basically "so sorry for your loss...do you want to hire me to sell your inherited property?" So, as best I can tell, this individual combs the public probate filings so she can send mailers to recently bereaved families. Possibly the tackiest method of advertising I've ever seen. Why not just show up at the funeral and hand out business cards? Ms. Walker, if you read this review, rather than defend yourself I truly hope you give this practice some thought and consider that some methods of gaining clients should be off limits.

I just want to honestly express my experience of working with Sherri…read more I know she will be commenting after seeing my review and trying to make her look better with some lies (as I've seen her doing before) but I chose to write this review anyways to raise a red flag for future people - so they don't need to go through the same problems. I wished I had more time to do my research before hiring her. She seems to be a nice person but just not a good Realtor. When we met her, we basically had 3 days to find a property. She showed us a handful of properties between Auburn, Nevada City and finally found us a place in Placerville. I think this part was pretty easy and she did a good job. The process of buying a house is one of the most stressful (and expensive) situations a person can get in. Now you add to this fact: the buyers are living 3k miles away plus they never purchased a house in CA before plus they are going into cancer treatment... We do understand that this process can go in "some" unexpected directions - as we did purchase 3 houses and sold 1 in another state before within a 7 years period. Sherri seemed to be a nice person and she really promised a lot, using beautiful words: loyalty, experience, attention... and we believed her :-( The reason most people hire Realtors is because those professionals are supposed to "walk the buyers" through the entire process with knowledge, respect, professionalism and caring - I don't think she did that. She doesn't have enough experience and none of the descriptions above - which we found out later. We almost lost our property a few times because of that. At some point during the process (that took about a month) she gave up on us. She was never very attentive or savvy but a few weeks into the process she became a ghost. Based on her feedback, she said this happened because I told her that we had a "business relationship" and she got "hurt" by that. Well, I had to say that because she takes things way to personally (and not in a good way). I can prove everything I'm saying here. Because of Sherri's lack of professionalism, buying this property was the worst real estate experience I have had.
