Best place to shop in the city for cookware, dishware, and anything kitchen related! Especially anything Asian like matcha bowls, teapots, etc. Everything is well priced and affordable, and they have aisles and aisles of stuff! I could easily spend over an hour walking through all the aisles to check everything out. Definitely worth checking out if you're looking for things for your kitchen or are nearby. Btw they are closed on Sundays.

Revisited Edition: There are thousands of restaurants operating throughout San Francisco. There is so much that goes into operating and running a restaurant especially in a city like San Francisco. Everybody talks about starting a restaurant or a cafe this is a good place to start whether it's in your own home kitchen selling plates or at a brick and mortar store front. Even if you want to play chef at home this is a place which has all the tools of the trade. On an Autumn stroll on Clement street there is a place which has the essentials to be top chef is Kamei Housewears & Restaurant Supply. Inside they have endless supplies to operate a restaurant. Inside you will see pots by the aisle along with rice cookers and tortilla flatteners. You will see lots of cooking pans along with storage bins. They have restaurant equipment and supplies for before , during , and after the fact. You will also see welcome floor mats of all kinds. It also feels like you are at a flower and plant store because they sell artificial plastic plants for home ,office , and restaurant decor. This is a good place to grab loose items you want replace like tongs and spoons. Go here if you're an inspiring Michelin chef or a novice in SF. Go to Clement in San Francisco and visit " Kamei" where you can find a "food tray", rice cookers, pots , kitchen knives and mugs made of ceramic "clay" and other restaurant essential supplies by the aisle on "display" It's a good place if you want to start restaurant because they have kitchenware and it's at a "bargain" and you can always raise the price to grow your profit " margin" and they also have a section which sells flowers to grow your "garden" and they also sell a butter dish so you can pass the "margarine"

Quality/Quantity - You get what you pay for. Affordable/inexpensive housewares. My guest keeps buying from here and the products only last a few months. I offered to buy her commercial grade housewares if she is willing to wait a month when I get back from Reno, NV. Think dollar store style of business. So today we just bought 3 packages of disposable stove burner covers. Glad we bought different sizes as her stove is fairly industrial and needs the larger size covers. Atmosphere - Decent size location. Fully stocked. Street metered parking, but we just walked from Dumpling King, a 5 star review, where we had lunch. Open 6 days a week from 10am to 5pm, closed Sundays. Service - Self service. Price - Inexpensive. $6 for 3 packages of stove burner covers. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since I think 2004...?

I almost always find something random here to buy. The have a ton of woks, pots, bowls, sushi plates, and pretty much anything you'd need in a kitchen. In my opinion, they could have better quality/better shaped chopsticks. I bought a nice stainless steel sieve/scooper made in Japan that I really like. I also like the three piece plastic tub, basket, lid contraption that I got from here. It keeps herbs like cilantro really fresh. In the past I found cute little ziploc bags and very small netted zipper bags for laundry that have not reappeared sadly. You could easily spend 30 minutes to an hour browsing all the goods here. The employees aren't super friendly but the guy guarding the door was nice when I asked him for a specific item. They didn't have it, but he did his best looking around the store for it.

    Bowl and bowls and bowls!

This was our first time shopping here. Next time we're visiting SF we will return. The best selection of imported dishes anywhere in the city. Picked up a bunch of new bowls to use at home.

If you love Japanese bowls and wares this is the place to be! I bought bowls here over a decade ago and I've also had kids so my kids have broken my bowls. I came here to replace a set of bowls and found the perfect one. I really recommend this place for even simple white platters. They have lots of kitchen items too.

Aisles of plates, bowls, mugs both asian and western. Perfect to stock your kitchen for cereal-ice cream-pasta-sauce-bowls. Great gifts too

Great selection, great prices. A fun place to find stuff they won't carry at Target or Bed Bath and Beyond...
