Hole in the wall ramen shop in a strip mall, as soon as I walked in I knew it was going to be good. We were seated promptly, service was friendly. It's a small restaurant but adequate seating for us on a Sunday afternoon. Spicy chicken ramen was excellent. Great flavor, good spice level, very flavorful. The portion size was generous. Price was reasonable for the quantity, I had leftovers. They also have a bar, but we didn't have drinks. Ample parking, clean bathrooms.

I was recently in the Cordova and Germantown area of Memphis. This area is really nice, and there's a lot of good Asian places to choose from. I hadn't been to a Ramen bar in a while and I really thought this might be "GradeA number one". I was slightly disappointed, but then again it might've been my frame of mind. I really had a taste for vegetable tempura, and they had tempura, and it was made from a vegetable. However, it was tempura, brussels sprouts,. In my mind, I was saying, "if you're gonna spend the money to do brussels sprouts and make them into tempura, why don't you get some carrots and some broccoli and maybe an onion to go with it?" These are the questions one asks as you sit eating a mountain of brussel sprouts. My ramen choice had sirloin on it and some boiled egg. It had a nice broth. There was missing element. Salt. Like I said, maybe it was my frame of mind, but the place needed a little more seasoning in their Ramen. That's all I can say bad about it. Otherwise, it was a good experience in the food was beautiful. It had that nice Ramen bar kind of field to it and lots of people were enjoying themselves. It was very low-key and nicely done. The food comes out fast, so be ready. All in all a solid, four out of five.

Last Thursday I dined out at this neighborhood ramen restaurant. I have not been a long time. Forgot how good the ramen tasted! Our server Gabe had many tables and was able to maneuver them all and served us with no problems. I ordered the sprouting up Ramen that had pork, bean sprouts, a nice boiled egg and I added bok choy. It was so delish! The place is decorated with Asian flare. The place is very cozy and seats many people. We had an awesome time and our food was so good. We will be back.

This was some of the best Ramen I've had in a while. Got the #8 - add butter! You'll thank me later. Pork Goyza and Shrimp Shumai was delicious too. We will be back!

I absolutely love Kami! It's such a hidden gem in the Memphis area. The ramen is always so flavorful and the service is always quick. Absolutely my favorite go to ramen place, 10/10.

If you've had a long day and a taste for ramen, then you should skiddle on over to this spot. The service is quick and accurate with your order. The ambience is quiet especially if you just want to wine down. Baby let me tell ya the lemon drop ain't slacking on the drop part because.... you should just come by and try. I ordered the vegan harvest ramen spicy and again the food does not disappoint on the flava.

I went to try Kami with some friends on April 4, 2023. When you walk in you notice how clean the restaurant is. When walking in you will be greeted by an amazing hostess. This was my first time trying a ramen bar, but our waiter were really patient with us as we tried to figure out what we want. I decided to get the Tonkotsu Black Ramen with Chicken Chashu and Mushrooms, while my friend had the Spicy Chicken Ramen with Butter. My friend really love the Spicy Chicken Ramen. The Tonkotsu Black Ramen was just ok for me. The meats were really good, but the broth just wasn't hitting it for me.

If you blink, you will drive pass it. Nice atmosphere. Friendly staff. Small comfy space. Yummy food. This was first time trying seaweed in a bowl. It was good.

This place rocks. Doesn't look like much in the outside, but it's nice and cozy on the inside. I started with the chicken kaarage. The was pretty good, but can't say that it wow'd me. It was good and tasty, but had me thinking I'll try something different next time. Then came the spicy seafood ramen. And then I was wow'd. First, it's a lot of ramen. And as it was a cold, rainy night, perfect for comfort. The broth was very tasty, the shrimp cooked nicely (so easy to overlook), and the bowl filled with lots, I mean lots of veggie and noodle goodness. This place will now be on my regular roster in during my frequent trips to Memphis. I can't wait to try other dishes!

This is a good place to grab ramen if you are in the Wolfchase area. It's a pretty popular spot and they always seem to have a crowd. Either way, it didn't take us long to be seated and it was packed. I ordered Gyoza and a bowl of chick ramen. The gyoza were fried too hard for my liking and the chicken in the ramen wasn't my preference, I actually took it out and tossed it. However, the other ingredients were great and I enjoy the rest of the bowl.

The crawfish dumplings were also solid, but the wings were the standout of the meal. We also tried the Bake MF Margarita, which I expected to taste like tea, but it's actually a refreshing peach-flavored margarita. At about $22, it's generously sized for two people and definitely worth trying. Our server, Mason, was very nice and made great selections for us. Overall, I'm giving Good Fortune Company (4/5). The only reason it wasn't a perfect score was the missing Slap Noodles. Even so, I'd happily return and hope to try them next time. Next time im ordering Ramen!

Well...I guess I was proven wrong. So I dropped my trailer off at Amazon MEM1, input the coordinates onto my Tractor GPS, and my Garmin 800 rejected the request...."Commercial Truck Restrictions All the way." And what did I do? I said f*ckit. I'm taking that risk. Probably the best Risk Reward experience I've had in ages. Every inch of my route towards this Ramen Pilgrimage was plagued by Traffic Signs reading, "No Semi-Trucks $1000.00 fine." And I just want to thank law enforcement between Memphis & South Haven for not busting me for craving a rich bowl of Tonkotsu delight. So what did I discover here? It was like walking into an enchanted Studio Ghibli scene. The hanging charms, the lush greenery, and lighting complimenting the earth tones, the holy sh*t they have PopCorn Chicken & Milk Tea here @@! Felt like I'm back in Taiwan with this fusion of Japanese & Taiwanese Food Culture. There wasn't even a college town nearby and this added more to my culture shock--- of all places... Mississippi. If you guys are still with me at this point, the Kyuramen x TBar in Southhaven wasn't the first location recommended to me by Yelp; I was actually planning on visiting the location in Santa Anita Mall in Arcadia California, BUT like Rayasianboy likes to quote on his live streams, "Goddid." The planets align, they sent me and my rig to South Haven. Alright not gonna ramble anymore, let me get to the verdict: Service: 10/10 Ambiance: 10/10 Food: 10/10 For a franchise, this place has QA down to the tee. Over the years I've for the majority of the time whenever I'm out of state, would patronize Jinya Ramen--been to their Denver Union Station locations, Chandler Arizona, Salt Lake City, one of the earliest times was in Vegas, and basically their brand set the tone for what a Franchise ramen could be. And yes, I could taste the lengthy hours here at Kyuramen that were put in to slow cook the richness out of the pork bones; the portions were measured just right so you can savor the soup, the noodles **al dente**, the egg silky custard like, the Chasu **melt in your mouth** and not feel overwhelmed with the entire ensemble. The karaage chicken/ Taiwanese pop-corn chicken was exploding with moisture, it had the right characteristics of popcorn chicken, crispy light with tapioca starch layered on the outside, marinated in 5 spices, and fried to perfection with the right tenderness. The tea was excellent, and the Yakitori platter---- executed surprisingly well. And when you put together the entire experience....Shin-Sen-Gumi Alhambra California needs to pick up some slack because this little joint in the middle of nowhere puts some California Izakayas to shame. So yes, I'd recommend anyone across the state of Tennessee, Mississippi and Alabama, all the Japanese execs at Toyota Plant, Nissan Plant and Yuki Kawamura to come and make their pilgrimage....oh wait Yuki signed with the Chicago Bulls, nvm, but yes everyone besides Yuki. これで終わります Kore de owarimasu じゃあね Jaa ne 改天再會!
