Started off with a phone call to the Coos Bay dealership, inquiring about a boat I had seen on…read moretheir website. They said it was available, so I made arrangements to fly in from N. California. I gave them a weeks' notice and asked if they could have the boat brought down from there Florence dealership, they agreed. I confirmed the day before arrival that I was going to be at the dealership around 1pm, once I arrived, I was told that they were not able to bring the boat down and I would need to drive an hour away to the Florance dealership to see the boat. I can understand if they didn't have time to bring the boat down to Coos Bay on only a possibility of a boat sale, but if they would have told me that they were unable to, and I would have just drove Stright there from the airport and not wasted my time going to the Coos Bay dealership. The salesperson (Brian) said he would go with me to the Florence dealership, but they were extremely busy (there was not one customer in site), so I said no problem and just went myself. I took a look at the boat, spoke with a very nice and knowledgeable guy from the Florance dealership and headed back to the Coos Bay dealership to discuss buying the boat. Called Brian and let him know I was on my way, but he was at home already (3:30) and that we could go over final pricing on Monday. I was thinking, I came all this way and was going to buy this boat that day but needed to wait until Monday now. (Note, boat sales are very slow, and Y Marina is closing the Florance Dealership down, but couldn't take a little extra time that day to sell a 100K plus boat). Call on Monday, settled on a price for the Boat, ask if they would be interested in also setting up the boat with electronics and kicker motor and asked for the addition cost, they said sure thing and they would get back to me that afternoon or the following morning. I didn't hear back, so I called the following day to finalize the deal and asked why I had not heard back from them sooner, then I was told that the boat was sold to someone else. I mentioned that we had agreed to a price and the boat was sold and that I was just waiting on the accessory pricing and installation lead time. They offered no apology and just said that there Florence store sold the boat and didn't communicate that with them. I said it seems that you do not communicate well with each other and that the boat should not have been sold out from underneath me. I have seen good reviews about this dealership, and it might have been this way at one time, but my experience showed me that they are very disconnected and scattered and communicate poorly with potential customers. I don't think sales work very well this way in a slow market (or any market). I guess maybe they got comfortable with the hot boat sales market of the past and it shows. I ended up buying a boat and Clemens Marina. Very knowledgeable staff and communicated well and great pricing. Y Marina missed out on $150K sale, due to lack of effort, scattered and poor sales Commnication.

We were always comfortable with the negotiations and felt no pressure. We are not from the Florence area but certainly feel like George and Bubba would be our go to guys if we ever needed anything in Florence. Nice job guys!

We visited several dealerships and spoke to countless salespeople as this was going to be his last fishing boat and he wanted to make sure he didn't have any regrets. In April, we visited Clemen's Marina in Eugene and met Dale Bohna. Dale was incredibly helpful in answering questions and making time for us with all the visits, emails, phone calls, etc. He was always available and eager to assist us in any way possible. He never made us feel like a "bother" and when we called to ask yet another question, he always answered, even AFTER we bought the boat and brought it home. We are definitely high maintenance clients and he passed the patience test when it comes to dealing with us. Saying that we are happy with the boat and the service we received from Clemen's Marina and Dale Bohna would be an understatement. If you are looking to bring home a beautiful, well-built new boat and receive first class customer service, go visit Dale at Clemen's Marina!

Ryan did a great job in listening to what are needs were and recommended several options that would best work for us. I appreciated Ryans knowledge of boating and electronics. Buy from someone who also runs boats make the experience that much better. Eugene was the farthest Clemens Marina from where I live, but after talking with Ryan I wasn't going to buy from anyone else Ended up with a beautiful new boat. Thank you for all your help Tight lines

Had heard good things about their food and wanted to treat myself while on a little Central Oregon vacation, and boy am I glad I did. The main lodge area is simultaneously cozy and trendy, complete with a fireplace amongst lots of wood architecture and modern furniture. It gave me Society Hotel vibes, for those familiar. I went for the "famous" (it was featured in the Eater's Guide to the World Hulu series hosted by Maya Rudolph) fish sandwich. It was quite spendy but worth it for a splurge. It was quite a bit of food and delicious, and that's coming from someone who is not the biggest fan of seafood. Kind of wish it came with some of fries or another side for the price but what can ya do. I didn't get a drink but the cocktails looked great. Recommend putting your phone away, grabbing one of the many coffee table books they have stacked up, and enjoying the fire and the peace. I went for a hike around Suttle Lake afterwards which was also great. Lots of birds on the water and saw a Bald Eagle swooping. I noticed lots of cabins, campsites, picnic areas, swimming holes, canoes/kayaks, etc. Overall looks like an awesome place to actually spend time. I'd happily come back in the warmer months to spend a weekend here.

There's a fancy (expensive) restaurant on the inside. We then proceeded down to the boathouse for the casual restaurant, hitting it mid-afternoon so it wasn't too busy. It's fun inside and has a good sized menu. We got fish sandwiches plus fries (expensive - I think it was $22 for the sandwich and $7 for fries), and our little one got a grilled cheese and a freshly squeezed lemonade. We sat out at a table on the dock. The fish sandwiches, apart from being really big, weren't that good. They fry them with the skins on - why? And they really didn't have much flavor. Fries were...fries. Grilled cheese also wasn't anything to write home about. Lemonade was really good. So all in all, I enjoyed the experience but I don't think I'll ever feel the need to return.
