Fresh fish. I was disappointed that I didn't get to have my fish fried since they have a 6:00 pm cut off for cooking your pick.

I like to get the southern whiting from here. Nice big filets. They steam and fry fish and seafood here as well

I discovered Branzino's at our Farmers Market - their fish is worth the price. Everything tastes…read moreexcellent with good fish it turns out. Fresh salmon steaks, fresh cod for stew or soup, thick cod for baked cod with miso-butter bread crumbs, fresh halibut with garlic rice and cherry tomatoes. Their Inwood storefront is old school spacious with signs identifying the kind of fish and they will deliver to many neighborhoods including Riverdale.

I want to like this place but they are doing some shady business with the scale and charging more…read morethan they should. For example, if I ask for half a pound of something they will give me a quarter pound yet charge for a half a pound. This has happened three times. I called them on it the last time I was in there. The clerk told me it's because they weigh the paper with the fish. Okay, fine, but that doesn't change the fact that I only received 1/4 pound of fish, and 1 ounce of paper when I weighed the two separately at home, and was still charged for a 1/2 pound. I know that all scales are going to be slightly different from each other but I have a very accurate scale at home and there is no reason why the weight should differ by 3-5 ounces from the scale that they have at the store. Do it once, it's a mistake but three times makes it seem intentional. The quality of the fish is very good, which is why I gave one star, but I doubt that I'll be back.
