While I understand that matting can be an issue with poodles and this was discussed prior to the appointment the decision made by the staff here was extreme. The groomer decided to take her coat down to the lowest level and even completely shaved her tail -- something I was not expecting or prepared for. What upset me the most was that I was not contacted before such an extreme measure was taken. I was made aware of this possibility but to take such liberty with another's pet and member of the family is uniquely appalling. A simple call to discuss options, or at the very least to inform an owner this is the recommended course of action, would have made a world of difference. Communication is key when it comes to caring for our pets, and this lack of consideration has left me unable to return. Furthermore, if a cut such as this is to be deemed necessary for an animal I would, at the very least, expect it to be even and the paws, toes and webbing to also be properly groomed and cleaned. The person who groomed my dog, did a horrible job! My dog's paws were not shaved well, and she was unevenly groomed. They even shaved her tail, which we did not ask for! Unfortunately, we will not be retuning to this groomer. It was a horrible job! I hope this feedback helps improve their communication with clients in the future.

Having given not much for direction, I won't even hold that against them as the idea of cute is subjective. The concept of a good job is not however. The lines were so choppy as if no effort to blend was taken at all. They shaved half way up his face and then just stopped. Picture submitted. The line on the back of his head isn't even kind of straight or blended. Though I appreciate the ability to get us in right away, I now know why they weren't busy. Thank you for being friendly and warm but I regret to say that we won't be back. A few days later he was not getting better, they told us to bring him in on Monday. They did a pressure test and he had glacoma, this is common in husky. We are now being sent to spokane to try and save his eye if possible but it's obvious he has lost all vision. With glacoma you must catch within first 48 hours or the pressure makes them blind. His negligence made my dog blind because he didn't take the time to check everything. This place is good for big animals but not for small. They won't admit fault and will be reporting them to the vets board of directors. This is bullshit and I would love to strip him of his license. I recently had the pleasure of using Kanos Pet Grooming Services for my dog, Olive, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the experience. I made an appointment the night prior, and Kano was incredibly accommodating, fitting us in for a quick refresh service that included anal gland expression, teeth brushing, and ear cleaning/plucking. Kano was lovely to work with--professional, friendly, and clearly very experienced. Olive, who can be a bit anxious around new people, felt comfortable and relaxed throughout the entire process. It's evident that Kano has a genuine love for animals and knows how to handle them with care. The convenience of having the grooming done at our home was a huge plus, eliminating the stress of traveling to a salon.
