Enrolling in the Electrical Technician Course has been, without a doubt, one of the best decisions I've ever made. Let me tell you why. First off, the hands-on training in this program is extraordinary. From day one, we were encouraged to roll up our sleeves and dive straight into learning. No endless lectures or theory without application; here, it's all about practical experience. Wiring circuits, troubleshooting systems, learning how to handle real-world tools--it's the kind of training that makes you feel empowered. You don't just learn concepts; you gain the confidence that comes with actually using them. The star of this journey has definitely been Mr Jones the instructor. There's something incredible about learning from someone who not only knows their stuff but has a passion for teaching and genuinely wants every student to succeed. They patiently walk you through each concept, breaking it down into manageable pieces, and then challenge you to think critically and apply what you've learned. The energy they bring to every class is infectious, and it's clear they truly care about us as individuals. It's refreshing to be treated not as a number but as a person with dreams and potential. And I can't talk about UEI without mentioning the phenomenal staff. From the moment I stepped into the building, the warmth of the team made me feel welcome and part of something bigger. I mean, how often do you walk into a place and the receptionist--friendly, efficient, and always with a smile--sets the tone for the whole experience? Shoutout to Mr. D for his unwavering support and encouragement; he's one of those people who always has your back. Even the cleaning staff, who keep the facilities spotless and always share a kind word, contribute to the positive atmosphere of the institute. It's this combination--outstanding training, incredible people, and a supportive environment--that has made UEI stand out for me. The school is now Dallas Nursing Institute. I along with about 20 others, were the pilot students for the nursing program, and graduated in August of 1992. Yes, the school was awesome. The class instructors, as well as our clinical instructors, took time to actually train each student. In a nutshell, Sarah is the broker between aspiring and broke musicians. She provides beautiful studio spaces and matches teachers to students. So far, so good, but you do pay for the overhead of studio space. Lessons are a bit (but not much) more than in home lessons.

I received a confirmation on the time and date, mind you this place has strict rules on not showing up and prepaying for lessons, showed up for the lesson only to find out that Sarah had booked a second student for that time and the teacher was in with another student. We waited 10 minutes for someone to help us try and figure out the situation but the only people there were other teachers who did not know how to get a hold of Sarah. We went home and I checked my email and found that Sarah had sent a confirmation and changed the time to 4:30 instead of 4pm which had been on all the previous emails. We jumped back in the car and rushed back to her studios got there on time for a 4:30 guitar lesson and again the teacher had a different student scheduled and took them back and just told us sorry. No one could find Sarah to speak to me. I decided to take a break and try to find another guitar teacher. But then emailed Sarah again a few weeks later and asked her to sign us up for Guitar and voice lesson. We had one lesson last week and then this week I get an email half an our before our lesson time canceling on us because the teacher cannot make it. NO phone call just an email. Thank goodness I was right at my computer when it came in. But thats not the best part of this here is the email exchange from today. I cannot believe it. We confirmed multiple times that everything was on track, starting from our discussions in April 2025. Just before the Summer Bridge program began, I reached out to Ebony to ensure my son's enrollment was secure, relying on this assurance to cancel all other offers and commitments from different pre-college programs for the summer. I took time off work and drove back and forth for two consecutive weeks to ensure a smooth move-in day. To our shock, on that very day, we were informed that my son was too young due to my early signing of the dorm commitment form. Despite explaining that he was only planning to participate in the 6-week Summer Bridge program, which had been clarified numerous times, the message fell on deaf ears. This experience underscores a troubling lack of organization and communication within the administration. I had high hopes for this school to prepare my son for college, especially in fields he is passionate about, such as Business Finance and Logistics. It's deeply frustrating to see such carelessness undermine the potential for our future. If you're considering this institution, I urge you to reflect on our experience and the serious implications of their administration's failures.

The college offers a full package for success. The staff, dorms, facilities, menu, and course rigor are unmatched. I respect and value the school's We/Me mission.
