This agency has terrible follow up they don't return phone calls. They also will get you the most expensive insurance and will not help you find a cheaper one pretty sure they're working on commission it's about the agency not about the people find another agency if you can they won't help you read more

After eventually choosing to switch insurance agencies because of my earlier difficulties, I have still had problems with KW. My current insurance group is required to notify KW of my change in insurance. They have faxed a notification form to KW three times and I have personally emailed a "non-stamped" version of this form to KW as well. KW continues to refuse to process the form and take me off of my insurance policy with them, essentially keeping me with them for as long as possible so that they can make more money from me. The only way to describe my experience with KW is incredibly frustrating and disheartening. Their service has been nothing short of horrendous. read more

I stopped in today to insure a new motorcycle. I was told that they normally do not insure only motorcycles without an approval (by some mysterious person who would return in 20 minutes). Meaning they only want to add a motorcycle to an existing policy. (I'm not sure what people do that only have a motorcycle.) I gave them my phone number and asked them to call me once they got approval, or not.) I knew I would never hear from them....and I did not. No follow through, means NO BUSINESS from me....ever. read more

They let policy lapse for non-payment without notify us - even though we had given them a change of mailing address. I would have thought they would have at least picked up the phone to alert the insured. Totally incompetent, will go elsewhere. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Paul O. at KW Insurance. I have lived in the Cambridge area for a long time and always had my insurance through Liberty Mutual. This year, they spiked my rate. I called several times (waiting on hold for hours) to try and understand why my insurance had increased so much in one year. Finally, I got fed up and called Paul. He re-priced my entire portfolio and helped me move all of my policies (Car, Condo, Umbrella) over to new carriers with more reasonable prices. He answered all my questions about coverage and the process of switching, and he handles servicing the new policies. He responds promptly to email and usually is able to answer the phone when I call. I have been a customer of KW Insurance, a/k/a/ H Levenbaum Insurance, for about five years, for auto and renters insurance. I for the first time at this year's renewal decided to actually call my agent to discuss whether the insurance policies I had been renewing year after year were the best for me. She looked into it, and a week or two later provided me with several options of identical coverage for much cheaper premium. I asked why this agency had never before advised me of a cheaper option, and only did so when I picked up the phone and made the inquiry. There was a good deal of stammering and confused response (and she indicated that the agency is now putting structures in place to ensure that this is done in the future). I told her that in the future, I did expect that my agent, if they want to keep me as a customer, should work PROACTIVELY to ensure that I have the best insurance at the best premium. Isn't that what an insurance agency is supposed to do???? Why in the world should I have to contact them to see if they are doing their job properly? Another annoyance, admittedly dating back a couple of years, is that this agency allowed my low mileage discount to lapse because I failed to return a form that they did not tell me I needed to complete. This was very easily rectified, but I was again troubled at the lack of attention to the customer needs. Again, what is the value-add of an insurance agency if they don't help the customer? In the past, this agency has refused to communicate via email but apparently email is now an option, so I suppose that is progress. I am going to give this agency one more year, and hope that they do begin to provide true customer service, and if not I will get another agent. read more

I got car insurance through KW for a year. They were always very nice and perfectly helpful through this time. HOWEVER, I ended up switching at the end of the year because of unrelated circumstances, and ended up with different insurance with no agency. A full year later out of the blue KW send me a bill for insurance. Apparently they lost the form that my new insurance sent them proving that I had insurance through another carrier and they took it upon themselves to begin a new policy for me without ever calling me or trying to contact me in any way. When I first got the bill I called the insurance company directly assuming it was a mistake. They assured me that KW had just signed me up in the last week and had signatures etc from me saying I was requesting to start a policy! They said they couldn't cancel this new policy without KW telling them too and in the meantime the bill would be outstanding. Needless to say I was miffed. I called KW immediately and they gave me trouble for 3 weeks. I asked for the manager to call me back and I wait days and end up with a letter from him in the mail! If a company I used for a year can't even call me back that's crazy. Not to mention the letter only again explained that they believed they were in the right. Took me weeks to get this sorted out and everything they did only made it harder. Absolutely no customer service. Said I was lying etc. Horrific experience. Eventually I had to go back and refurnish all the documents etc that they should have already had and while they had to admit that I couldn't be responsible for the new policy and undid it all, they never would quite admit they were in the wrong. read more
