This is my first experience going to a chiropractor as it was recommended by my boyfriend who also see's Dr. Tim Barber. My initial visit I went for low back pain, and I felt great after that adjustment. The second time I asked about my lower and upper extremity pain (elbows/knees) as I suffer from Sjrogren's Disease and it affects my joints tremendously. Literally after the appointment I was amazed not feeling any pain whats so ever, and I have been in pain since 2024. I've tried massages, acupuncture, cupping - you name it just to feel some relief and nothing compares to seeing Dr. Barber. I've been seeing Dr. Barber for about a year now. I sit a lot at work and so of course I will need an adjustment for my legs, hip, back and neck occasionally. I would wake up with a crick in my neck and soreness in my back. Since I've been seeing him I don't have any more issues. Wow! Dr. Barber made me a believer! Never been to a Chiropractor, I mentioned this and my discomfort of the procedure. He asked me to do a few movements to assess my range of movements & when I would feel pain or discomfort as I did them. Been having lower back pains for almost 10 years, i was seeing another dr for about 5 years, but i would keep tweaking my back at work, the previous dr made me belive that my lower back pains would keep coming back because i was in construction and always had a tool belt around my waist.. so for 5 years ive wasted seeing this dr and i kept on thinking i was doing something wrong. I was in really bad shape when I saw Dr. Barber. My lower back was sore, couldn't lift anything, and my spine would be in horrible pain if I rolled over on the bed. I have been living with pain for over a year in my lower back. One morning, I woke up and could barely walk. I looked up the closest chiropractor in Kapolei and found several. All of them could not take me right away, except for Dr. Barber. He immediately took me in and did his evaluation. Then came the best part. I was like a rice krispy- snap, crack, pop. Dr. Barber is a godsend! I was woken up early Sunday morning by the most severe neck pain I've ever had. I used his convenient online appointment tool to reach out and he called me BEFORE office hours. I have major back issues and require a handicap placard where I live in California, so my anxiety level was very high going into this vacation because I knew at some point my back would go out. Well first day their my back goes out from sitting in the plane for 5 hours and all the travel too and from airports. Flying first class really helped because I am 6 foot 5 inches and I can't fit anywhere else like coach. My first visit was on my second day on the island staying at Disney Aulani . Dr.Barber works out if his home so make sure you tell the taxi driver his address, because most taxi drivers don't take tourist to local community's. He has an older reliable chiropractic table looks like a spaceship, but does magic. He did a great evaluation before he got down to business. During the adjustment he was checking my spine, then explaining to me what was out of place, the informing me he was going to put back in place, then he did.After he adjusted me I felt great. Unfortunately the beds at the Aulani are terrible and we did slot of activities the next two days. So I made an appointment and Dr. Barber was super flexible with the time. My second visit was on my fourth day and he was able to get my back more straight because my first visit I was really swollen and my foundation was really out. My last visit was the day before I left. This time I brought my wife because I wanted to introduce the man that made my vacation more manageable! Long story short my wife is a breast cancer Survivor and just finished chemotherapy and radiation this last year. I had Dr. Barber adjust her and she told me she hasn't felt this wonderful and slept so good in over a year since she started chemo. Dr. Tim Barber is the only guy that will ever touch my back, as long as I stay on our beautiful island. I tried a woman chiropractor before, and I wasn't happy. Dr Tim is a miracle worker. I NEVER believed in chiropractors. As a CRNA practicing medicine for 40 years and suffering from herniated cervical discs, I was forced to go the surgical route. Before Dr. Tim Barber, my wife and I went to see a different chiropractor, two acupuncture, and two doctors who gave my wife steroid shot twice for her back and sciatica pain for the degenerated disc. After a year later, her pain comes back. After several calls with a different chiropractor, we took a chance with Dr. Barber. With the first visit, her back pain and my back pain were gone instantly. But we were not sure those pain will come back. After a few sections, most of the pain from different sections of our body was gone. Our regular doctor recommended having 3rd steroid short, with few exercises, her pain from the leg is almost gone. Dr. Barber, a big guy with a nice heart, straight forward, no BS.
