The place is extremely clean and is a very comfortable relaxing atmosphere. I had a design for a bat tattoo I wanted. I went in and spoke to Travis and made an appointment letting him know I wanted a bat tattoo. When I came back for my appointment, Travis had a drawing he had made of a bat. It was an expected surprise. The drawing he did was of a little bat hanging upside down from a branch. Well, I brought my drawing I had made and he used my drawing. He tattooed my drawing exactly. It was amazing. I was extremely pleased. When I got home, I had to call back and let Travis know, I wanted him to tattoo the drawing he had done!!! I have one each calf. I call them Stella and Luna. My three daughters and I decided kind of last minute that we wanted to try to get matching tattoos…read moreon Mothers Day (5/10/26) I called around to a few places on Wednesday May 6th and when I got ahold of Scottish Rose, the girl that answered told me immediately that she would send out a group text and see if anybody was available to accommodate us. I got an email from Zac about 30 minutes later, saying he could see us on Mothers Day at noon and just to send him an idea of what we were looking for. Zac was quick to respond to me and to top it off, he came in on his day off to do this for us! When we got there he had a few stencils drawn up for us to choose from (based on the ideas I had sent him via email), he tweaked one of them a little bit for us, and then we got started. The place is spacious, well lit and super clean, we watched Zac take his time to clean up the area and his equipment in between each one of our tattoos. He was fun and friendly and patient with us due to our indecisiveness (remember... 4 women!!). A friend of mine had gotten inked here before, so when I was visiting we spur-of-the-moment decided to go back and walk in to see if we could get another, since she had enjoyed her first experience so much. That's also nice- you can walk in a lot of days here and get tattooed. Since covid that can be hit or miss to come by, and having to set an appointment can be such a pain. So, we walked in and they told us (3 of us wanting to get tatted, by the way) to come back in an hour and they'd squeeze us in, and that's exactly what they did. We all got tattooed by 3 different artists, and it was such a fun time. Everyone in the shop is super laid back and just enjoying the vibes and you could feel it. Mitch worked on my tattoo, and he drew up such a beautiful design I couldn't even believe it, but it was the truth. He was so good at listening to what I wanted and making it come to life, even with just a walk-in, smaller scale tat. I really enjoyed Mitch, he was funny and so charismatic and made the entire experience that much better. One bad thing about the Truth is that they are pretty terrible at answering the phone, so if you call don't expect someone to pick up. You have to find their Google Doc sheet to send a request for an appointment and that's your best bet to get set up there if you don't go in person. He is harder to get into but most artists who have a clientele are going to be busy. He does have new artists that are able to take walk ins.
