My three daughters and I decided kind of last minute that we wanted to try to get matching tattoos on Mothers Day (5/10/26) I called around to a few places on Wednesday May 6th and when I got ahold of Scottish Rose, the girl that answered told me immediately that she would send out a group text and see if anybody was available to accommodate us. I got an email from Zac about 30 minutes later, saying he could see us on Mothers Day at noon and just to send him an idea of what we were looking for. Zac was quick to respond to me and to top it off, he came in on his day off to do this for us! When we got there he had a few stencils drawn up for us to choose from (based on the ideas I had sent him via email), he tweaked one of them a little bit for us, and then we got started. The place is spacious, well lit and super clean, we watched Zac take his time to clean up the area and his equipment in between each one of our tattoos. He was fun and friendly and patient with us due to our indecisiveness (remember... 4 women!!). This place came highly recommended to me through social media. Wanting to get my 6year olds ear done. Was told to contact Jenna directly, as she handles this age group. Her communication response time was not impressive. Tried for a Saturday did not answer back in time. Tried for a Sunday did not answer back in time. This pattern continues for a week. Having to move on because at this pace it will be next year before we get it done. Poor business planning and subpar communication ability. read more

I was down in the cities for a weekend of hockey and on a whim, decided it was time to finish my tattoo with my 3 boys names on it. I had the older two, but not the youngest one's names on my wrist. I called and they were so friendly! They told me yes, come right over! As I walked up a couple of the artists were talking outside one of them, Jimmy said "hello how can I help you" right away! I told him what I wanted and he said " I'm gonna free hand this one! He was so nice to talk to and very friendly! He even gave the older part of my tattoo some "love" because of course, that part of the tattoo was much older. Jimmy did a beautiful job! I would definitely recommend going to this tattoo parlor! I went to get my navel piercing by Taylor here and she pierced my stomach muscle instead of my belly button!!!! I was told this by several different shops and they said that she totally just stuck the needle in my stomach. Do not recommend as well as she didn't tell me how to clean my piercing correctly. If I could give 0 stars I would. She told me I needed a floating navel piercing and didn't even give me the correct jewlery for a floating navel??? This is my second review for Scottish Rose and this is just telling you that this place beats any other tattoo shop in Fridley. Customer service is awesome here and the day I came in for my second tattoo with Austin, everyone treated me like as if I their friend which I enjoyed. I never felt company like that before in such a long time since a lot of people avoid me at Work. I had surgery the day before the tattoo and I fainted on their bench because i was on medication and my car ride made me dizzy lol. Thankfully peter was there to witness that and was kind enough to help me lol. However, while I was getting tatted, I never felt so damn comfortable in my life. I almost fell asleep to Austin tattooing my leg. It was nice for him to conversate with me about some stuff about tattooing that I had no knowledge. This is a great tattoo shop. They have lots of custom flash on the walls, yet they all love to do custom work. There is a Piercer always there. The have a wide selection of Jewelry and if you don't see what you need they can order almost anything. I wanted my current plugs in a bigger size and they were able to order and have them in the shop in a week. Jenna is super great! Each artist is able to price out there own work. They are all reasonable and care about the customers. The shop its self is always clean. All needles are new and disposed of after use. All other hard wear and machines are cleaned after each new client. I love Nik's style and I have been tattooed by him for almost 8 years now. Peter and Catfish do some amazing work. Catfish is always drawing or painting when he is not with a client. If your looking for a new tattoo defiantly check this place out. read more

Got a tattoo here from Catfish, and now I will never go to anyone else! Catfish enthusiastically worked with me to create a small custom piece. I absolutely love how my tattoo came out and how well it has healed - no scabbing at all. Not only is everyone very professional and friendly, but they are crazy talented. And the shop is clean, comfortable, and has plenty of awesome artwork to look at while getting worked on. One of the things I really appreciated was that you book appointments and have consultations with the actual artist instead of a receptionist. I had an absolutely amazing experience here yesterday. Peter has been tattooing for over 20 years and is an amazing artist. Also, he was really fun to talk to (he was a fellow Doctor Who and Star Wars fan, which was pretty cool). After reading the rave reviews here, I decided to come here on my lunch break during work since they're located only five minutes away to get my earlobes re-pierced. The place is very clean and organized and I really liked the vibe of the shop in general. They had just opened so I was the only person there, which was nice; no wait time, lol. I was helped immediately (I wish I caught her name; her room has a TARDIS on the outside, lol) and told her I was nervous (despite having had this done before and I have multiple tattoos) and she was very nice and calming about everything. Both piercings happened very fast with no trouble at all and she kept asking if I was doing good, which I greatly appreciate. She then gave me all the instructions I would need to care for my new piercings and told me to call any time I had any trouble. I went for a walk in on Monday and had the best experience. I got 2 tattoos by Jordan (a fish on my forearm/wrist and a Harry Potter symbol on my ankle). I have a lot of freckles and he did an amazing job incorporating them into the design (it looks like they are bubbles from the fish). I'm absolutely in love them. I have 4 other tattoos and didn't necessarily had a great experience with them... I have one on that is just terrible and been wanting to cover and he made some awesome suggestions! I was very impressed by his skills. The line work is super clean, the shading is on point and the highlights just pull the whole think together. I'm seriously so happy. He was so so nice and helpful, the shop is super clean and open. I didn't feel out of place or felt like I wasn't welcome, like in my other tattoo experiences. I got my two double piercings and they took their time and made sure everything was perfect and did a really nice job. Expect to pay at least $100 for two simple lobe piercings. Very pricey but better than going to Claire's. read more

gosh i don't even know where to start ... my mom and i were supposed to get our first tattoo together today and last night our artist cancelled (not scottish rose, other shop) i was so upset considering i've had to reschedule 3 times due to covid . we were both super upset and called a bunch of tattoo shops to see if we could get in last minute . THANK GOD for scottish rose ! we got our tattoo appointment booked for 4 hours later and i was so excited . our tattoo artist was jordan . he only works on monday's and lucky for us today is monday ! he drew out my mom and i's tattoos and they were both PERFECT !! these were both our first tattoos and jordan was very helpful and didnt want us to be more stressed out than we already were . i got mine on my ribs which is an extremely painful spot and the ENTIRE time jordan was supportive and cheering me on !! he asked be about every 5-10 minutes if i was okay , needed a break , if i felt normal , needed a drink , etc ... i am so thankful our other appointment got cancelled because jordan was nothing but amazing !! i wish i had a million dollars cause that's how much i would've tipped him ! jordan will forever be doing my tattoos !!
