That Lady and I suffered smoke and fire damage from the Palisades Fire. Unfortunately, the family room drapery received the worst of heat, smoke and soot damage as did the wall and sliding doors they covered. Excellent communication and service. I was able to get in-home service to repair my very old blinds. They showed up on time and the repairs were done well and it was not as expensive as I thought it would be so through them I finally ordered the shades for my kitchen and living room I had been thinking about for years. They helped me decide on all the details that would be best for my needs and had them customized and installed. I contacted Mack Drapery Service to replace the pull cord on our vertical blinds. Mack responded quickly and scheduled the service call. The repairman, Tyler, was prompt and replaced the cord perfectly. He also recommended replacing the spring bracket that holds the bottom of the cord, drove out to get the new bracket, came back, and replaced it at no additional charge! I only called 2 drapery installation services, both highly recommended here, for estimates to hang 2 sets of custom drapes & shades. One was unlicensed, the other was licensed. I went with Mack Drapery Service, because it is licensed, bonded & insured; I also checked and confirmed they have no complaints with the Contractor's State License Board. Best of all, their estimate was LITERALLY 25% of what the unlicensed guy quoted me. In fact, I was careful to confirm that they understood the scope of the job and were still good with their quote. Adam, the owner, confirmed the price. When he and Tyler arrived to do my installation, they were prompt, respectful and businesslike. The motorized shades in the bedroom stopped working. I didn't realize each motorized shade requires charging! We recently moved into a new home and the previous owner did not leave any charging devices for all the motorized shades. I called Adam and he and Tyler arrived on time the next day. They were able to do a quick charge so at least we could get the blackout screen in the down position. I had to order a new charge device which they are having sent to me.
