Karachi Xpress is a great place to enjoy authentic Pakistani cuisine. Be prepared to wait if you arrive after 8pm especially on the weekends. They are very busy! We met up with a good friend and had an amazing meal. When you enter they seat you, show you the menu, you put your order in at the counter and get a buzzer for when food is ready. Then the wait begins for what will be a delicious meal. We had the beef biryani, chicken karahi (single), chicken Bihari kabobs alongside naan. Puri paratha and thac lemon soda. All entrees were very flavorful, cooked to perfection. Being Karachi biryani, it had very flavorful potatoes in it. Naans were extremely good; fresh and fluffy. Puri paratha was nice and crisp. Both breads complimented the Bihari kabob and were a match made in heaven! If that wasn't enough, the desert halwa was out of this world made with REAL desi ghee. We couldn't stop eating it. My husband was wishing he had a sesame seed kulcha to go with it. I've yet to experience this level of authentic Pakistani taste where I live. Ordered 4 items tonight. Unfortunately the portion of the chicken dishes were dismal to say the least. Each one cost roughly 20 dollars. The most expensive price for Onion and rice at this rate. The food was spicy which is not a problem but it over powered any other spice if there were any. Sadly, will not be dining or ordering from this establishment anymore. read more

Come here for the kababs! They have all your Karachi kabab fixes. You name it, they have it. We got a mix of their kababs with prathas, masala fries and tha soda. Everything we tried was phenomenal! I see from the other reviews that their biryani is also great, will have to come back for it. Bonus, the owner was very friendly and was making his rounds talking to all his customers. I am glad i found an authentic Pakistani Restaurant located in Etobicoke. A little hidden away from the main street into an industrial area. There was a mural of all the famous paktani artist on one wall. There are little trinkets like riksha, art all over the place. Pakistani music was playing in the background. Onto the food, tried the rolls (chicken & bihari). The chicken malai boti was really good. Bihari kabob was a bit spicy but not bad. The masala fries were covered in spices and were indeed spicy. Tried for the first time last week. The food is a bit expensive for the portions, especially the kabab roll which i found oily and underwhelming for $14. We got there 40 minutes before closing, they only had 2-3 dishes left from the entire menu. The fries were good but the rest of the food when it arrived was extremely oily and soggy. We had ordered the behari beef paratha roll and the dhaga paratha roll. We did not finish the meal. We told the staff before leaving when they asked how the food was and was told that paratha rolls are deep fried and this is how they are. Being in the vicinity, unusually, we Googled "Pakistani food", and KarachiXpress popped up in the results. We read through the reviews, and enough 5 star reviews, though mingled with a few 1 star reviews, convinced us to give them a try. The co-owner, Irfan,at the front counter, was courteous throughout our time at this counter-serve, self-table-clear, restaurant. We reached before the dinner rush started to pick up, but even after it got busy, Irfan made sure we were satisfied. He discussed with us the relative hot-spiciness of various dishes and gave us generous samples of chicken daighi biryani, chicken malai boti and beef bihari kebab, all of which we ended up ordering, along with naan and paratha. The portions were generous enough that three of us ate, and still had leftovers. The food was so fresh and delicious that we stayed longer and placed orders for our other relatives to be prepared for us to take-away. My only quibble with the food is that I prefer naan to be more pillow-y and less crisp/charred on the bottom. My rating on the food is 4.5 to 5 stars. Unfortunately, the entrance is not barrier free. It is difficult to access by the less-mobile, such as those using walkers, wheelchairs or strollers as there are fairly steep stairs to the front entrance. There didn't appear to be any ramp. This is the reason that I have given an overall 4 stars instead of 5. I would like to note that though limited in space, the washroom facilities were adequate and clean. We are looking forward to the opening of their new East-end Toronto branch at Lebovic, near Eglinton and Warden, and hope the food and service there will be to the same high standards, with improved access for less-abled customers. read more

With easy access to my mom's yummy biryani, I don't normally go to Pakistani restaurants. We came upon this place on our way back from Sherway Gardens and boy we made a good decision. The biryani was absolutely scrumpdyllicious! The rice were so flavourful and spicy and meat was tender. My only critique for biryani was the rice to meat ratio, lots of rice but only 2 small pieces of chicken. I won't take a star away for that because I love my rice! We also ordered boti roll and it was also really good. Tender malai chicken pieces, pickled onions and chutney wrapped in a flaky paratha (yummmm). Also, the staff was super friendly!
