Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Song selection is only available on the healsonic app and I downloaded in advance to ensure there were no issues. Amongst our group of 13 people, we all had issues connecting to the WiFi and the tv. I convinced the front desk to give us an iPad to manage the music and that also wasn't working. I called the guys to the room multiple times to troubleshoot and it still wasn't working. We fought with the technology throughout the whole 3 hour reservation which really made it difficult to enjoy the experience. During the times it was working, the app was glitchy and we had difficulties seeing the queue and skipping over songs. Also, one of the microphones was barely working. Additionally, before booking I inquired amongst a number of places to compare prices. We picked this place because we were told that there would be an assigned server to our room to allow us to enjoy the open bar experience and not have to step out to the bar to get drinks. Upon arriving, I was told that wasn't the case, even though it was in my email. After a lot of back and forth, they finally agreed to come serve to our room but there were still times I had to leave the room and chase them down. Came here to celebrate my best friend's birthday, it was a good vibe. I actually really loved the lighting in the room and the privacy that it came with. You do have to reserve the room by calling in advance, could even be an hour before, which is what we did. It is a little confusing arriving to the karaoke, only because there are a few more around the strip. It is on another floor, so you do have to take the elevator. The room reservation is $50 per hr. Do keep in mind that if it's a certain hour of night or certain day, you do have to pa a minimum of 2 hours. The drinks were pretty good, we started off with a Peach Soju bottle, pretty strong and tasted good. We got a few drinks off the specials, they were alright, just real strong. The food did what it had to do, Mozzarella Sticks and some Chips n Salsa. They have an app that you use to play the karaoke songs called HealSonic. It's a bit confusing at first in my opinion, but since I was familiar with it from a past experience at different karaoke spot in Connecticut, I didn't have a problem. Karaoke City is an absolute blast! The private rooms are clean, modern, and have great sound systems. The song selection is huge and updated regularly, so there's something for everyone. 3 stars for the room sizes, attentive staff and cleanliness of the venue. The program they use for the karaoke is glitchy and unreliable. It definitely put a damper on our evening. You have to connect to their WiFi, then download an app to select songs - which is annoying in and of itself. The app, Healsonic is glitchy and hardly worked. Many of the songs we selected did not get added to the queue the first time, or the second and third times either, we had to keep adding the song until it finally worked. The app inconsistently showed us the queue so we could not always view what was coming next. The app also froze constantly and if you exited, you had to sign in all over again. Twice I tried to login with the PIN code they provide and it wouldn't let me in. The song selection is also not great and is missing a lot of popular songs. Getting up to the venue also takes forever because the elevator is packed with people going to the various other places in the building. Given how crucial a functioning karaoke system is at a karaoke bar, I don't think I'd come back here because of the glitchy system. The cocktails are also overpriced for a karaoke bar at $18 - and they're essentially watered down. 1 drink minimum per person, but it appears to include soft drinks as well. read more

Reserved a room for a birthday two weeks in advanced. There was a massive line at the elevator which made us 7 minutes late. They gave our room up and told us wait 20 minutes. When I asked why they gave our room up they said there is a "5 minute grace period" which sucked having 12 people now jamming up the counter area. Then the Big shot guy running the place that had no control over anything got upset I was asking questions about why they gave our room up and told us to leave! You could tell all the other workers were embarrassed by this clown. They kept apologizing for him. He started yelling "get out!" For no reason. After waiting 10 minutes to go up to the place this jerkoff starts yelling at me. Horrible management . One of the workers told us about another place 3 buildings down so we went there and had a wonderful experience. I will never go there ever again. The management at this place has no business representing this company. They pushed business out the door and were extremely rude and disrespectful because they were overwhelmed. Terrible experience. This is my second time here, but I will not be returning or recommending. The staffs were rude and unhelpful. Our room had a faulty karaoke machine because the lyrics were not showing up on the screen. There was a sheet music option that came with lyrics, but then you can't queue songs while a song is currently playing, which is a time sink. On top of that, the controller was fully in Korean. We spent 20 minutes asking the staffs to come and help us. Each time they would he very upset that they had to be there for us. Pros: #1 I left my wallet in the karaoke room & they returned it to me. Gold star for honesty. There was a paper catalog provided, but the app was great for choosing songs by artist or title. I loved that you could push your song request to the top of the queue. That made for a lot of practical joking that added to the fun. They offered beverages & food. Our staple was peach soju? (soon brand?). We also tried the lychee ? But Ai will talk about that under the cons. Colorful murals decorated the lobby. I never saw the full bar that was described, but I was focused on the Karaoke rooms. The Karaoke rate was $40/hour for up to five people. We were told that the price gets prorated once you get into increments of hours. Cons: The elevator is small, so if you come at the wrong time, you might be on a long line even to make it up to the 7th floor. The song catalog was extensive, but there were newish songs that were not in the catalog; for example, Beyoncé's Cuff It. Only reason i came here is because my friends boyfriend had a surprise bday for her here. Other than that i would have never stepped foot in this dump. This place is complete trash! The staff is rude and unprofessional. The drink prices are insanely over priced. They also automatically add 18-20% gratuity when getting a drink from the bar. Which is a complete scam! How are you automatically adding a tip when someone is pouring a lousy drink or grabbing a beer. As a business owner this type of business i bet is struggling on the back end because the way they run this place is giving poor management. Rating: 3.5 stars Karaoke City is huge so I'm usually always able to just walk in with a group of people without a reservation on peak times (IE Saturday nights). They make you download an app to order songs and control the system. The sound system is not the best and the staff are not the most friendly sometimes but it is a nice no frills karaoke place that you can just go to when you want to sing last minute. read more

I was able to get availability and rate through messaging and our room was ready when we arrived. It was the perfect size for our group of 10 and they have rooms that fit up to 40 people! It was a bit hard to find from the outside and is on the upper floor of a building. The system had a lot of songs and technically worked well, with good sound. The bathrooms were right down the hall and were not the most clean, but good enough. The staff checked in on us, but not too much and the drinks came quickly. I wanted to go karaoke with my friends while I was in New York, so we chose this spot and I'm glad we did! The prices were very affordable; we paid $40/hour for our room on a Thursday night, which between the 4 of us was only $20 pp for two hours. Some of the other karaoke spots we were considering were much pricier, so I was pretty happy with the prices here. I'm docking one star because they use the book system here, and it's always a hassle to flip through and look for a particular song or artist. Plus we couldn't find newer songs from the last year. HOWEVER, I think there's an online site you can use to look up songs as well. The URL is posted next to the main desk, but my friend misremembered the URL and we didn't end up using it. We briefly looked at it later as we were paying and it was so much easier to find a song, so I'd recommend using a combination of both! Iirc he website didn't have a way to browse though, so you have to know exactly what song or artist you want to look up. They also offer some snacks and alcohol here. We came here after dinner so we skipped the snacks, but we got a carafe of watermelon soju ($30) to share. It was delicious and came in a large bottle so it was great for sharing! However, I am not strong enough to do it alone so I brought a friend. Song selection: 3/5 Their song books only had songs from the the summer of 2018 and not all of them worked!! I really wanted to wanted some Olivia Rodrigo. Also adding fuel to the fire, I ordered water and it tasted off. This did not encourage me to order anything else. My boyfriend and I came here on a Friday during the summer around 3pm. We didn't make a reservation but there were plenty of rooms available so we didn't wait at all. The staff was very prompt and professional. I can easily kill 2 hours of karaoke by myself, but since this was our first time here, we only booked 1 hour just in case. I'm really glad for that because I was under the impression I'd be able to sing both Japanese and Korean songs. Despite changing the language on the app, no songs outside of English/American artists were available. It gave me errors for every JP/Kr song I tried to select. This was one of the best Ktown Karaoke experiences I've had! Generally I expect some frustration using the remote/machine, but at this place you can use an app to connect to the karaoke machine and queue songs along with the rest of your group. This avoided so much of the headache that I've had at other karaoke places! Also, there are a ton of recent popular songs through the app which aren't available in the clunky binders that they also provide (to be used with clunky controller pads labeled only in Korean). Basically-- to have a great time at this place, use the app, not the binders. Note that through the app, there isn't a good selection of non-Western songs, but this wasn't an issue for us. For our booking of 6 people for 2 hours, plus some drinks/pitchers shared by the group, the price was super reasonable (less than $40/person). Side note: when I called to reserve, no one answered but then I immediately received a text from a different number, through which I booked the reservation. Thought it was weird initially, but it turned out to be legit. All in all though, I had a pretty seamless and positive experience with Karaoke City that checked all my boxes for a really fun karaoke night! read more
