My husband and I made a 1-hour reservation at SPIN Flatiron last Saturday and had a great time. It wasn't our first SPIN location (we've been to one in DC), and we knew it was a great way to get some activity in during a day of shows. So between our matinee play and our evening musical (both Off-Broadway and near this SPIN location), we stopped by. SPIN isn't cheap (we paid $50 for our 1-hour reservation), but it's really fun. They have a bunch of ping pong tables and service at your table (food and drinks). We had a couple of beers while we played, and the service was friendly. Ping pong is a great way to get some exercise (maybe more so for me since I'm so bad and I'm running all over the place), and it was a great break from our artsy day. They weren't busy at 4:30pm on a Saturday, and it meant very quick service and lots of attention. Is it the cheapest way to spend an hour in NYC? Nope. But it's tons of fun. read more

Great fun in the city! Came for my cousins bday. They have food and a bar. Everything was fairly priced and you pay per hour for the ping pong. They also have a slew of other games like darts, shuffleboard, jenga, connect 4. They even had a Photo Booth! The venue itself has artwork throughout and was very spacious. There are workers who come by who are confidently cleaning up the balls and replenishing the buckets. At the entrance they had a small shop with merch and a ping pong beginner set that came with a paddle, balls and more. A definite recommendation if you enjoy a little bit of friendly competition! We ordered some pizzas and enchiladas I believe. The food was tasty and the portions were sizable. The set up was 1 ping-pong table and 2 couches and 2 tables. The business idea of combining food and ping-ping is quite novel to me but i see how it works for large groups of friends. We played in turns and we socialized in turns. The space is clean and spacious. It's mind-blowing that you don't need to lift a ball from the floor because you always have access to infinite balls and ball-boys are swiftly moving around you to pick up the balls from the ground. Ballsy idea Definitely recommend - just double confirm that all guests are ready for some ping-pong humiliation granted that it is not the most popular game in the US. The ambience here is genuinely fantastic -- spacious, energetic, and a great spot for catching a big game. I came for my birthday for NBA Finals Game 2 and enjoyed it enough to return for Game 3, and the atmosphere really is the highlight of the experience. While the venue itself is impressive, especially given its history as Caroline's Comedy Club, the bar food could use some refinement. The giant pretzels came out undercooked on both visits, and several people mentioned feeling unwell after Game 2. I really appreciate the intent behind offering snacks during watch parties, but the kitchen may be putting itself at unnecessary risk with items that aren't consistently prepared. Entry was smooth on my birthday when we arrived at the advised time, though Game 3 was a bit more chaotic with a long line and the previous event running late. Even so, the staff handled the crowd as best they could, and the space remains a strong option for sports viewing. I truly hope they continue to improve the bar‑food situation -- it would elevate the experience and match the quality of the ambience. Until then, I'd recommend coming for the vibe and the drinks, and maybe sticking to chips or simpler snacks. Super impressed with Spin. We booked a package for 6 people - 2 hours of ping pong, unlimited call drinks, Mediterranean platter and two pizzas for $70 per person. There's a coat check when you arrive which is helpful for these cold winter months. Upon check in, staff was super attentive and on the ball. We were shown our space and our server came over right away. Multiple times throughout the night, the manager came by to check on everything. Food and drinks were awesome. And our server came around frequently to make sure we had everything we needed. Ping pong was fun too - they have people going around collecting all of the balls that go flying so you don't need to spend time doing that. After the two hours was up, we opted to hang out at the bar on site. They did fun bar games and my friends won some prizes! Really impressed with the level of coordination here with the service. No one missed a beat. Staff was attentive and very present the whole evening. Had a great time for a reasonable cost! You can't say that about too many places these days. They have another bar on site called Marty's but it was closed for a private event. Looked nice! Will be back for sure. read more

I came here for an event, so didn't have to pay for the tables. But for $60/hr per table where you can split with a group, it's not too shabby. They have even cheaper prices if you come after 10pm or non-Friday/Saturdays. It's a great spot for socializing while playing ping pong. I hosted a private event here on Friday night at 7 PM. We worked with Laura to reserve the space in a semi private area. Laura made the process very easy and was very super open to answer any questions we had. The night of the event, we worked with Ty and Patrick who were both great and very friendly. The food that was passed around was also very tasty and a hit among our attendees. I loved their shrimp tacos the most. I was a bit disappointed about the semi private space because we were told there would be a curtain around it but we just had a small retractable barrier so there was a loud drunk group that ended up coming into our space but they were thankfully asked to leave by the staff after around 10 minutes. All in all, a nice option for a private social event - they even gave us a small discount because Friday nights were considered off peak time. I came here for a work event with a group of about 50 people. I'd previously been to one of their locations in San Francisco, but this was my first time visiting in New York. The ping pong lounge is located below ground. You will see the reception area and restrooms when you first descend the stairs. The ping pong play area is fairly spacious. There were a lot of us at the event but it didn't feel crowded or difficult to move around or find a place to stand. At the back of the venue, they have a full bar. Service was excellent. They don't have any signature cocktails, but can make all the classic drinks. I ordered a mojito with light syrup and light ice and the waitress remembered my order for my second round, which was awesome of her considering how many other people she was serving. The food was pretty good. I particularly enjoyed the jackfruit sliders, which were sweet and filling. The flatbread pizza didn't look great, but it was actually tastier than expected. Ping pong is always fun because it's accessible for beginners. Staff are on hand to pick up any balls you lose so you don't have to constantly chase after them, which is very convenient. They also had expert players walking around who offered tips on how to improve your game. One of these pros played using his iPhone instead of a paddle, which was remarkable to see! This is a colorful but darkly lit basement lounge / party scene plus ping pong! Lots of photo opportunities, full bar, and a photo booth. Many young business professionals here at 8pm on a Wednesday. Fun for half hour table rentals. Time flies too quickly! I was impressed with the selection of drinks and friendly staff. Despite being busy, this place was organized and well run. We were greeted at the door with our reservation and escorted to our tables. When we had 10 mins left at the table, they marked the table so we knew how much time we had left. You don't have to collect the balls that fly off the table. There is a dedicated team collecting and refilling the ping pong balls. The yucca fries were delicious and my friend enjoyed the Hawaiian dog. This is a place where you can spend a fair amount of money and not realize because you are having so much fun. read more

I like this location since it's located within one block from my apartment building in the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood. Spin is one of my favorite spots in Manhattan! I love going with friends and have even celebrated a birthday there and have gone to open bar events hosted there. They have great options to have your own events as well. I love that you can play ping pong but also have food and drinks at the same time so it elevates your typical friends night out or date night by adding an activity on top of dinner/drinks. This last time I went I went for a Black Friday deal that was $10 tables with $10 and under food and drink specials. The sliders were $10 and the nachos that are pictured were actually the mini nachos that were just $9! The service was excellent and they always made sure we had everything we needed and enough water. The music was also a great volume to have fun while playing ping pong but not too loud where you would feel like it's hard to have a conversation. They also have a lot of games to play for free such as giant jenga, giant connect 4 and giant uno. They also went around on the day when I went and passed around some food and drink samples to try out. I also noted that they have $10 tables after 10p on Friday and Saturdays.
