My boyfriend and I recently moved into our first home, and found that the master bedroom toilet needed to be replaced. My boyfriend attempted to do it himself, but found that the flange was damaged so we started looking for some professional help. I have never hired a contractor before, but Khairi and his team were amazing! I started by sending him a picture of the flange, and he suggested a very simple and cheap fix that we could have done ourselves. This really built up my trust in Kare Home Improvements, and we decided to have him come anyway. Most other places I spoke with, who saw the same photos, quoted me extremely high prices and weren't able to come for at least 2 weeks. Khairi came 3 days later and was in and out. He even helped fix my shower and took a look and gave me advice on my kitchen cabinets. I love that I can trust Khairi to give his honest opinion on whether or not his expertise is needed, and that he gives you fair quotes. He is extremely knowledgeable, answered all my questions about the toilet, shower, and kitchen and seems to genuinely care about his work and his clients. Having had some frustrating experience with contractors in the past, I was very relieved to get such good service from Khaire. It took me about 6 months or so to hammer down exactly what I wanted to do for my kitchen renovation, and during that time he was helpful with ideas, responsive to questions, and patients with my timeline. He helped me with the design aspect by making great suggestions, and also by bringing samples to the house for me to choose from. This was a life saver because I tend to get overwhelmed when I am shopping for home renovations items. Plus it saved me a lot of time. As far as timeline, Khaire finished the worked in the exact time frame he predicted. I did feel that it could have been done perhaps a few days sooner...but I can't really complain about that since it was completed in the projected timeline. My kitchen was beautiful in the end, so the workmanship is great quality too. I had a custom built nook added to the kitchen - and I was worried it would look unprofessional, but it came out magazine worthy. Unexpected things came up along the way, but Khaire explained them to me and helped offer choices with how to address it. I think these things are inevitable in any major renovation project. Overall, I highly recommend this firm - but as with all contractors and with all home renovations, its important to be involved and communicate well to make sure the final outcome is what you had in mind.
