She very carefully asked me about my condition from onset to the present and performed a very patient and thorough physical examination to assess my physical state. She also took the time to patiently explain my MRI images to me and walked me through several treatment options--what to try first, and what the next steps would be if those didn't work. Her approach slowly eased my high anxiety and helped me feel more at peace, giving me a clear idea of what to do next in my treatment. I feel so lucky to have met Dr. Shirin. Over the last few years I have seen him for my knee troubles. He's not quick to recommend surgery, which is very respectable I think. I have received cortisone shots and they've, fortunately, been able to resolve the pain and discomfort. I've gone years without having a round of shots until recently I am back for another shot, which has (probably temporarily) made life manageable. He thinks I'm looking at double knee replacement eventually, and he's explained to me what I need to do to prolong having it and how to deal with it, and my body, in the meantime. I have never left an appointment feeling discouraged or confused. Always with a smile and with a game plan. I've also seen his associate, Dennis, and he has about the same mannerisms and quality as Dr. Sohlpour. Excellent team! Dr Solhpour came up with a plan that though it took about a year and 1/2 completely cured him of the disease and without doing the drastic surgery we were prepared for him to undergo. Such an amazing result for a kid who thought he couldn't be cured and would always be in pain. That was several years ago and the kid who was told to quit sports at 12 due to knee issues is 21 and headed into his senior year playing college ball. When I couldn't get my shoulder pain to go away recently, my choice was an easy one. Dr. Solhpour again did not disappoint. Dr. Saldivar and three other practitioner works in this clinic. I had my sessions (6) all with Dr. Salidivar. He shows empathy by taking the time to make sure you understand what's going on with your session and body that is being treated. During my sessions, he explained how different muscles are connected and why certain movements were causing my pain, which helped me feel better about the sessions. I came in for shockwave therapy--almost like applying specific frequencies to help stimulate healing and rebuild the affected area. The treated area is gel and then a wand delivering the "frequency" is applied to the area that needs the therapy.

For the past 12 months I was in lots…read moreof sciatic pain, my ankles, knees and lower back , I have had sciatic pain before but this time it was debilitating, I couldn't walk more than a few feet , I couldn't stand on my feet for more than a few minutes, sitting in the car or at my office was painful. I had an MRI done from which my primary Doctor told me to go see an Orthopedic Doctor, I had a bulging disc and a collapsed disc, L4 and L5. I saw two Doctors, one in Newport Beach and one in Irvine.
