They mentioned they would submit a claim to Delta Dental so I can be reimbursed for the difference, but since they're now out of network, the fees are about 225% higher. Jocelyn, the receptionist, said she would forward my concern to the office manager, though it sounds like there may not be much that can be done. They noted that they tried to call about a week before my appointment likely to confirm my appointment but I changed my phone number nearly a year ago. They said they would've told my by phone that they no longer take my insurance. My response was, they should have told me when I checked in, before my service to give me an option to move forward with them. I feel it's very unfair not to notify patients in advance when such a significant change affects billing and coverage. Unfortunately, I'll be canceling my upcoming appointments for myself and my family.

Dr. Milligan has quite a bit of expertise in basic surgeries, crowns feelings, etc. They're cleaning people are very friendly knowledgeable and do a great job. The only downside is since they are so good at what they do, and are very popular, it can be quite difficult to get an appointment and they typically book out almost 6 months at this point

I…read morewas bombarded then with prompts to rate this practice highly (some website that wasn't Yelp). Sure. And while I was doing that, I added my original review here. Of note, I've never had many dental problems, so I didn't have much to base that initial impression on, although on a recent visit he suddenly suggested a lot of expensive gum work (that I am opting to wait on). Since my first review, I think he's on his third hygienist and the website's description makes me think the one working there now is yet again different, so maybe on #4. That's a little worrisome. One positive is that they've always run pretty close to on time. My biggest beef is that I originally selected this dentist because, according to our insurance plan's preferred provider list, the former dentist took was listed. I called Shimp's office and was assured that I'd be covered because they were working on getting enrolled on the plan, too. It wasn't until later that I realized that they never enrolled. Preventive care is covered by insurance regardless, so it wasn't until a family member had to pay big out of pocket cost that I realized I'd been misled. I mentioned this and didn't get as much as an apology. Also, on my last visit, the billing person told me we had overpaid and that they'd send us a refund for that amount, but they never did. Too bad, because I thought this place was promising, but I'm looking for a new dentist now.

Before choosing…read moreDr'D'ascoli I shopped around but I was not impressed with the service, the prices or the treatment options presented (one orthodontist wasn't confident that he can fix my very complex case: crowding, missing teeth, overbite, shifted mid line, etc) So I had 2 separate appointments with Dr. D'Ascoli, free of charge, so they could answer all my questions and go over the different treatment types they offer and what would work for me. Karyn, the treatment coordinator was very knowledgeable, friendly, patient, easy to talk to. I haven't seen her much after but I do see the doctor every time I go in, which is every 4-6 weeks(not like one of my friends every 11 weeks!!!) He is a busy guy but he's very professional, friendly, continues to answer all my annoying questions:) and I trust him completely! He has over 30 years experience in this field and that makes a big difference if you ask me! Plus cutting edge technology like Suresmile! They have 4 or 5 different locations and they can see me on my lunch break which is very convenient. The staff is very friendly and they do a great job! I especially like Veronica! It's a fast pace environment and it can get stressful but she's always so nice, polite and efficient even though I have Lingual Braces, wich are very hard to work on. Overall a great experience! I can't wait to see the final results and I warmly recommend them for any orthodontic treatment! P.S. The Reno office is my favorite, the Incline one needs a little updating.

By far the best dentist. She will be greatly missed when she retires. She will get you in right awayread more

Yelp dentist review…read more I should have definitely taken these reviews into deeper consideration. I had three appointments scheduled for my son to get three cavities filled. So we get to the first appointment, my SIX year old sits down and gets shots in his mouth to numb him. She allows him to get up for 10 minutes while it kicks in. He sits back down and is scared and tearing up a little. I mean, the littlest cry a kid could ever do. She then tells him if he keeps crying moms going to have to leave the room. Which at first I was cool with. Then as he's trying to stop, she proceeds to say stop crying I'm going to kick mom out. I'm serious. You can't act like that or she will have to go to the waiting room. Now I'm starting to think hey bitch I will stay here as long as I need to. What kind of dentist, let alone human being sits there and antagonizes a kid. A SIX year old. So we finish and get to the car and I tell him next time he can use headphones and listen to music so he doesn't have to hear her. ‍ Two weeks later we are back for the second cavity. Before he can get the headphones on she's already telling him not to cry. ‍ He has to get shots in his mouth. I know plenty of adults that would cry getting that done. And again we're in the same position. She could have just kept her mouth shut, let him have a little cry and then get the rest done. But no, she has to remind them repeatedly not to cry. ‍‍‍ (Ohhhhh! As I'm in there with them I notice a needle poking out of the carpet. So watch out for those.). Appointment number three! Last Saturday, oh wait no it wasn't. I forgot my phone at home on Thursday and get home to 3 voicemails, 4 missed calls. The first asking if I could switch my appointment to 9:15 instead of 10. Which they did the week before. (They call and confirm appointments 2 days prior and the day of just in case they have the opportunity of leaving early. Because 1:00 isn't a short enough day.) The second asking to move my appointment to June 2nd because of someone else's emergency. So I can only assume they are going to take the emergency on my 9:15/10 slot and then go home for the day. The third (12:45) telling me my sons appointment is canceled and they hope that's ok and hopefully we can move it. AND!!!! That she will be out of the office for the day so all I could do now was leave a voicemail that she won't hear until Saturday morning because they are closed Fridays. ALL AROUND. My kid had the worst experience. As I'm sure yours will. They finally called me back on Tuesday to reschedule my sons appointment. . I successfully switched dentists, and I will not be calling them back. Ever.
