The last time I had a cavity was...well let's just say it was a very long time ago. I remember vividly getting the filling and it being excruciating. I remember crying, bleeding (something slipped) then being numb and drooling for a day. Of course I was a little kid so over the years the memory may have become inflated. Nevertheless I have since been terrified of having a cavity filled. It was with a heart & mind filled with dread that I made an appointment with Kings beach dental. After a consult with an endodontist to make sure no root canal was needed, I was back. Dr Henderson saw me at 7:15 am so I could make it to work at 9. I was skeptical it could happen that fast. I was extremely nervous, actually had the shakes! He noticed immediately, and tried to put me at ease. He talked me through what he was doing, the numbing shot (which my childhood brain remembered as being horrific) was no more painful than a flushot. The grinding sound and smell were still unnerving, but I really felt no pain! He was done before I knew it. I was back at work on time (actually early) and with no pain! My face was slightly numb for about an hour after, but I'm pretty sure there was no drooling. A huge thank you to Dr Henderson and his team for an easy and painless visit! read more

Dr. Kucharski's office is ALWAYS responsive--today my husband complained of tooth/gum pain (he's very stoic about pain). We called Dr. K, who said to come in as soon as he could as she was leaving on vacation the next day. He was there in 30 minutes, she diagnosed him as having a very bad infection and that the tooth (which had a prior root canal) needed to be extracted. She personally called an endodontist in the area, and got him worked in for the very next day, stressing it was very painful and needed to come out ASAP or the infection would endanger neighboring teeth. As always, above and beyond. She cares. We love her and we're SO glad she's our dentist. read more

Have been treated by many of our local dentists and their staff on the North Shore of Tahoe for over 30 years. The folks here are just what I had hoped to find! The staff is kind, attentive to our needs, and so friendly. Dr. Lacy is so caring and gentle. Love Ronnie and Celia, and Chris did a great job on my cleaning, which was very in need! Hubby is in good shape now due to their care at KB Dental as well. For those staff folks I did not mention, you are great as well. Keep it up, Keep Caring. You will never find a better crew than the gang at King's Beach dental. Karen is an incredibly competent and wonderful doctor. The dental hygienists are the best I've every experienced in my 57 years on this planet in both skill and personality. The office staff is fantastic with great attitudes and ability. I developed a large toothache while driving to Tahoe from the bay area a day before New Years Eve, lucky me. They were able to see me and even kept the office open just after they were to close. Getting in to see her, even after hours or on a weekend, when necessary, has never been a problem.
