I decided to see Dr. Pierce rather than go to my regular dentist who I didn't feel confident that she would do a decent bonding repair, as she broke an adjacent tooth while repairing a crown--resulting in me having to pay for two crowns (discount on the second, unexpected crown but still). So other than cleanings, I don't have anything else done there. I can't speak to the repair longevity as it was just done yesterday, but I can say what an awesome, meticulous job Dr. Pierce did. He is a perfectionist! I can't even tell where the chip/broken section was on the upper central incisor. The bonded section blends seamlessly with the front teeth. I highly recommend him for any cosmetic dentistry and general dentistry as well. After living 46 years in Tahoe Truckee and having some less than stellar experiences with other dentists in town and the north shore, I am going to switch.

On another visit, while working on my 5 year old and 6 year old children, lechner decided to talk about how his children loved the smell and everything about death, visiting some place in LA to learn more about it. i uncomfortably joked that my young children didnt need to hear what he was saying. 4. on the next visit, while working in my mouth he was berating his assistant, yelling at her uncomfortably - "how after 6 months do you still not know this??". it left me uncomfortable that they were making mistakes bc she didnt hand him the right stuff. i also felt bad for his assistant. 5. at my last visit, after waiting 45 minutes, lechner was chit chatting in another room while me and my two young children were waiting. unable to wait any longer (had somewhere to be), i decided to get up, say out loud i would reschedule as i had done my part arriving on time (was actually early) and i wasnt able to wait any longer in an annoyed and rushed tone. after i said this, lechner responded "good, reschedule" with the tone of a teenager. this did not make me feel better. i understand dentist offices get behind but his rudeness was appalling for a professional. the good news being they will no longer provide dental care for us. ive got many more stories about lechners unprofessionalism. at one point i considered emailing the dental board. They mentioned they would submit a claim to Delta Dental so I can be reimbursed for the difference, but since they're now out of network, the fees are about 225% higher. Jocelyn, the receptionist, said she would forward my concern to the office manager, though it sounds like there may not be much that can be done. They noted that they tried to call about a week before my appointment likely to confirm my appointment but I changed my phone number nearly a year ago. They said they would've told my by phone that they no longer take my insurance. My response was, they should have told me when I checked in, before my service to give me an option to move forward with them. I feel it's very unfair not to notify patients in advance when such a significant change affects billing and coverage. Unfortunately, I'll be canceling my upcoming appointments for myself and my family.
