I highly recommend everyone to get multiple consultations before going to Erik Swanson…read moreOrthodontist- this is where I made a costly mistake. - Swanson's treatment/out of pocket cost is outrageously overpriced compared to other Orthodontist. What's worst is the treatment plan does not justify the premium charged. For a 6-8 mos upper and 12 mos lower Invisaline treatment, the total treatment cost for us was $7,283. The catch... you don't get to find out what the treatment plan is until you fork out $500 and if you don't agree with the proposed treatment, you are shit out of luck because this is non-refundable. I had to pay this full amount w/o the finance team submitting a claim. - During the consultation, I found out the shortcut treatment was to file or shave down eight teeth on the bottom row to accommodate space for one crowded tooth. Just think how much filing has to be done, compromising the integrity/health of each tooth that needs shaving. He doesn't address that my daughter's lower jaw is still moving so starting the treatment may result in future corrections. He doesn't address the upper jaw being more narrow than lower and how it impacts the bit down. - We've had three other consultations and all their treatments for both lower and upper were 24 to 30 months with braces/top expanders, no filing or shaving and all were $3,000 less from Swanson's quoted total treatment cost. One Orthodontist suggested to wait until the lower jaw fully grows to start treatment so there's no future misalignment or need for correction. - This irresponsible and lazy practice combined with the price gauging made me look into Swanson Orthodontics. My insurance company notified me that they were no longer in the network. I've been requesting for a refund of the $500 and have been denied by their office. - Swanson is a coward and hides behind his desk. Even though he's the owner of this business, he will not address ongoing financial issues. During visits, he only shows up for five minutes and rushes off to the next patient. Swanson opened a second office and they treat you like you're just a number. There's a high turnover in staff. Greed and unethical- how do you sleep at night. - It's a headache because now I have to gather documentation and file a case of grievance with my insurance company to fight for my $500 refund. It's sad that Swanson Orthodontics has two offices, but risk his reputation and future businesses over $500. PLEASE save yourself time and money- find a better Orthodontist for you and your family.

His team submit insurance for you, and the follow-up communication is also excellent. I had a gap that developed from nightly jaw-clenching. Because it was inconvenient (and potentially not sanitary for me to handle my Invisalign) during the day, I actually wore mine evenings only for longer amount of time. I greatly appreciate that Dr. Swanson opens his office on some holidays so that patients who don't have PTO or kids who don't want absences can make an appointment. I moved away so I am grateful to Dr. Swanson for taking time off his lunch break for me, too! Highly recommend him!

1 star for general incompetence at every turn…read more I was quoted 300 for a dental appliance, and then charged 1,000. After much to do, they eventually honored the original quote. I showed up to receive the appliance, and the assistant appeared with a needle to anesthetize me to fill multiple cavities. I have no cavities, and I had to refuse the shot multiple times before they realized their error. I left the practice and recently emailed to obtain records. After supplying my full name and date of birth, they replied with, "What is your Last name and Date of birth?". It took 11 emails to discover that the dentist who saw me was no longer at the practice, they do not retain records, and to contact him. They sent a long winded excuse, part of which reads: "His office has a new contact number and email address that we do not have on file. We recommend that you search for Dr. Ortega's current practice and contact his office directly to obtain the most up-to-date email address." I googled it, and his new office is...in the same building as White Oaks Dental. It's hilarious that they go out of their way to be unhelpful. If you are looking for a way to test your patience and add stress to your life, dealing with White Oaks Dental may be for you!

The Unquestionable Tooth…read more I'd been searching for a new dentist for a few years before being referred here by my gf, Carissa, last year. I normally prefer a smaller mom-&-pop type office instead of a dental mill, but this place kinda falls smack dab in the middle of both. The Good: *Dr Cho (the only dentist I've dealt with) is terrific; personable, affable, and tells you exactly what's going on and why. *The entire staff from receptionists to the nurses are all very friendly and can all take a joke. *They accept most insurances, as Carissa and I both have different types of insurance (Delta & Tricare). *They seem to be a one-stop shop for all dental procedures, according to their website. *They figure out your co-pay, and you pay at the end of your visit; no stupid bills in the mail to deal with. *They're very prompt, respect your time, and get you in and out very quickly. *Text reminders, and they will also text you if they have questions or issues that arise, which I prefer. Phone calls are giant PiTa, especially if you end up paying phone tag. The Meh: *They are *not* a Delta Premiere Dentist, so if you have Delta Dental PPO insurance, then expect to have a co-pay. *Not open on weekends *Maybe I misunderstood, but when I was trying to make an apt recently, I could've sworn the receptionist said they're not open on Fridays? However, their website, Yelp and Google, all show them to be open from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m., so not I'm not exactly sure what that's about. *If you need a 2nd or 3rd visit, then they'll have to be a few weeks apart as apts are hard to come by. The Ugly: *Parking can be a bit of a nightmare at times, as their shared lot is almost always packed and lacks any shade. Street parking, however, does have some shade but can also be hard to come by. So, make sure you give yourself a few minutes before your appointment to find parking. TLDR: Great dental office that makes one of life's annoyances tolerable.

I was very pleased when Dr. Dong offered me some cosmetic procedures that I had previously asked other dentists about but had blown me off saying it was nothing to worry about. He takes his time to explain everything to you but it did not feel like an upsell, but rather offering a way to help. It's not just the basics here which is great! FIND ANOTHER DENTIST. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS OFFICE OR DR GO…read more I didn't want to write this post because Dr. Go is a very nice dentist and the people that work in her office are very nice. However, Dr Go, did my crown in May 2022 and she did it incorrectly. After about six months I noticed that every time I would floss around that one crown, the floss had a gross smell. I'm sure you can imagine. Which is a first for me because my teeth have always been pretty good. I floss regularly, brush regularly, all of the above. When I brought this to her attention, her response was well. "Maybe you should get an electric flosser?" And I thought about it for a second and then I was like "why? I never needed it before until you did this crown. So I would like you to replace it." She finally agreed and offered to replace it but I had to pay $250. I hesitated because I didn't want to necessarily go back to a doctor that didn't do it correctly in the first place, and instead of taking accountability for her mistake she then tried to blame my hygiene skills by telling me I needed to buy an electric flosser which I never needed my entire life. So I thought I could just wait this out because it takes five years for insurance to be able to pay for another crown. But to be honest, I just couldn't wait any longer. I was always self-conscious about my breath constantly using one of those floss pickers and jamming it into between the teeth until the smell was no longer there. I have avoided eating on my right side of my mouth for the last few years so is to not get food stuck in there. So I called the office back and I said I would like to take Dr. Go on her offer to replace my crown. The receptionist took my information and said the doctors was in a meeting and will call me back later. As you can imagine, I never received a callback. So I am taking this as if doctor refuses to replace my crown. I am leaving this yelp review which I should've left years ago. I DO NOT RECOMMEND doctor go unless you are just doing a basic cleaning. Another friend of mine went to this doctor in her office because I referred him (before I got my crown) and he had a crown that needed to be replaced and the temporary crown had fallen off about a week later. With his experience and my experience, I don't believe that the doctors are skilled enough to do any type of cosmetic dental work. I would highly recommend you find another doctor that has more experience. The basic cleaning is actually done by hygienist and not the doctor and her hygienist are great. I also had to pay for a new set of Invisalign trays obviously because the teeth were now different and that was $1000. So if I had to have this replaced again, I will need to spend another thousand dollars for my Invisalign. I am now going to another doctor that is more seasoned and more skilled and I'm paying out-of-pocket. Mistake of Dr Go is gonna cost me $4k when all is said and done. So I highly recommend that you do not see this doctor. If I could give zero stars, I would because one star is being generous, they may be the one star is for the hygienist.

Definitely a great sign that they remain COVID-conscious. There's a sign at the door asking you to check-in via text or phone (number listed). It's a short questionnaire to determine potential symptoms. Don't fret if you don't get a response back after texting - it's probably the service reception! I went in to ask when that happened to me, and they were extremely nice about it and had asked me the questions on the spot instead. They also take your forehead temperature. You're asked to wait in the lobby - so spotless and clean! I was asked to be seen shortly after so barely any wait time at all. I had to take off my piercings because the metals would interfere with the X-ray, causing it to blur. I was having trouble with my piercings but everyone was extremely patient and nice about it!
